It wasn't quite what I was looking for. The book provides some prescriptions and insights into serviced based business models but seems a bit overloaded with terminology and lacking in fundamental insights. A lot of the things stated in the book seem to construct models on research on companies in technology as a service area but a lot of it seems a bit too common sensical and not based on deep insights or analysis. Take my opinion with a grain of salt though. I am not that business oriented.
A great book if your Enterprise is moving from perpetual model to Subscription model.
When I came across this book, I was skeptical on how it is going to be relevant to my job. Once I started to read it, I couldn't keep it down.
A book that certainly needs to be be in your bookshelf, especially if you are in the management side of business. It will be useful to any PMs/business owners and I certainly see myself reading it multiple times in the next few years.
Great analysis of changes needed to address the shift to the consumption-based business model
Recommend this book to all practitioners and leaders in the Technology platform and services industries. The book provides great insights for both starting and transitioning businesses and careers in the face of this tectonic shift in the industry landscape
As someone whose livelihood depends on providing technology as a service, I cannot recommend this book enough... the insights in this book are mind-blowing. There haven't been many books that have been able to go beyond generic analysis of the technology industry, but this book really takes the prize.
Wow, really much more info about XaaS described into details small details. This book has extended my knowledge and opened my eyes in many ways. Now I see the whole subscription model from a much wider perspective.
Decent overview of how manufacturers need to change to be a services company. Misses the solution for how partners fit into the equation. Somehow the authors are not aware of the agent community that has been selling services for years.
Practical advice on enabling customer business outcomes
Enjoyed this practicle book. Categorizi your own business in the to cloud or saas journey. Lots of ideas to implement in our own business. And great to se we rock and are on track👍
This is brilliant content for tech savvies interested on XaaS as a Service transformations. This is based on years of research and it has well placed real world examples and it has a consistent approach on language and tone. I will definitely read it again!
The author tries to smash too many different perspectives and concepts into this. It is a lot of information that is all extremely valuable to software managers and business owners, just too bouncy for my taste.
This is a MUST READ for all working with or in SaaS companies. Fantastic value for money. The best is maybe that the authors back up their claims with facts and observations from their vast experience.
