Erotica is like a box of chocolate, some are good, but most you take one bite and throw the rest out, this audiobook was a pleasant surprise! It’s that magical piece of chocolate that makes the whole box worth the money you spent.

The story centers around Stacy Caldwell, a wunderkind who arrives at the Lennox Advertising firm and catches the eye of owner and CEO Henry Lennox and her manager Michael Cavanaugh I know what you’re thinking “This story has been told over and over again ad nauseam” but this one is different, the author really does a good job fleshing out the characters, really it’s more of a psychological study of a conflicted woman, torn between wanting to be love and wanting to satisfy her masochistic tendencies and the two men who fulfill different needs. The characters are flawed and sometimes you’re not sure who you should be rooting for!

Of course this is erotica and the sex scenes are numerous and very graphic, that’s to be expected, but the quality of the writing is uncommonly good and the narration and production is top notch too. I have never heard of this author but I’m impressed.

Looking for good quality erotica? This is it!

Awesome

This series took me on a roller coaster ride as we journeyed through HENRY and STACY'S D/s relationship. Ups and downs twist and turns and even a few cork screws lol, but seriously we got to watch Stacy grow, change and learn her submissive strength . While watching Henry try to figure out how he felt about Stacy and where they were heading.

I didn't read the book, but instead I listened to its audiobook.

These series of stories really delves into the BDSM lifestyle, but in a soft way. So if you're not familiar with this type of lifestyle, you will be able to follow up on the story without being too much shocked.

The woman narrator was amazing with her smooth sweet and calm voice the audiobook was really enjoyable. The narrator not only wasn't disturbing to my ears, but I would say it was the reason that kept me throughout the audiobook, which I listen during a weekend. I am sure that if it was another voice I would have never finished listening to it. Great casting selection.

Not a bad series

Unfortunately I had a hard time focusing when I first began this series. The concept was a great one, but I was so confused at times. I also didn’t have a problem putting the book down and coming back to it when I had some time. Over all I would say a decent book but the ending was very disappointing to say the least! I might give the author another chance with another book, but I will definitely not be spending any money to purchase. Thank goodness for Kindle Unlimited!!

Had this through audio books. About half way through the series I was rolling my eyes. The plot had promise but lacked good context. No deep connections with the characters. Even the “bdsm” was super underwhelming as in practically non existent. Everything lacked the finer details.... the context... the text needed to actually pull a reader into the story as if they are living it. Honest opinion was it was absolutely horrible! I did not bother to finish the series.

Disappoiment

I was very disappoined in this book. I never got a connection with the characters. Henry seemed to be to cold and at times arrogant. I also couldnt find sny liking for the heroine in this book. I like women who stand up for themselves and didnt like Henrys treatment of her

I was very disappointed. She made it sound as if it would be better than 50 Shades Did not even come close. There was not real love story to it. and his character she never went into detail why he got into bdsm. In my book there was foot notes. please I paid 10.00 for this book I do not want foot notes. I wish I could get my money back.

This definitely different from other Dom/Sub books I've read. Definitely wasn't used to seeing(reading) about a Dom having affairs while he has a sub and definitely not used to seeing(reading) that the sub be nude during certain parties. Other than that, these books were really enjoyable because I was able to see(read) about other aspects of the Dom/Sub relationship.

Broken Innocence

I will admit the draw of this book came because they kept asking "Do you miss Christian Grey?" . That, and it was advertised so much on facebook . It is a decent story, and I love the ending. If you are a fan of BDSM stories, it is a definite must read.

This was such a good series about BSDM. I thoroughly enjoy reading how Stacey comes to terms with this new lifestyle and becomes a stronger submissive to Henry’s dominance as people try to ruin their relationship.

Good read...but

Attention to detail. Proof reading is important. I found myself sometimes confused on what the main girl was feeling. But I enjoyed the story as a whole.

Extremely slow

I found this book slow and predictable . It also jumped around a lot. I am sad I spent money on this book.

This book helped me discover that BDSM isn’t for me and this is not a form of erotica that I would enjoy very much. I found it all quite strange and cringe even at times.

This book was very well written and I enjoyed reading each page as it turned into each chapter. I would recommend it to everyone. The author is very good at drawing the reader into the world of submission and dominance.

It explains everything so the reader understands. I really enjoyed reading this book alot. I would definitely recommend it to everyone

I got this set of books for free in exchange for a review. I'm afraid I could only get about 30% through it. BDSM isn't my raison d'etre when it comes to reading, but I thought I'd give it a try just to see why books like it have become such a rage lately. I'll try anything once, and in the case of this book it might be too many.

I suppose fans of BDSM and the like will enjoy this. I kept waiting for a plot, but aside from a minor character becoming an attraction for the main character, there didn't seem to be one, and I get impatient. The characters are fairly one-dimensional.

All I could think of when I did try to read this was that everyone who accepts abuse gives permission to their abusers. Most often it is unintentional and subconscious, but in cases like this book set, it's a conscious choice. You are literally handing any power you have, mentally, emotionally and physically, over to someone who not only has ample tools to get carried away and do real harm to your body, you've already started making excuses for them before a single knot in the ropes around your wrists are tied.

I couldn't engage with the main female lead. I've worked very hard for what I have, and both the main female and male leads don't read like people who have ever had to struggle with anything. He is rich and famous and wants power over her, and she gives it willingly without question. She seems like a typical female lead a la Hollywood: gorgeous and vaguely intelligent, but insecure until she finds the love of a man...if that part happens. I didn't get that far. He is good looking, but aside from wanting to leave welts and bruises on women who work for him, there doesn't seem to be much to him. Everybody else is a gorgeous, twenty- or thirty-something happy yuppie. And perky. Cookie-cutter characters. Also, kind of a typical harem environment: owner of harem, a couple of lieutenants to enforce the concubines, and a host giggling, insipid concubines.

If you're into BDSM and need to kill some time during your commute, and don't expect much from the books you read, it's probably right up your alley. It certainly did not pass the Bechdel test, and if something like this happened in real life, it would be a major set of empire-shattering lawsuits, and possibly a murder.

Overall was it entertaining, yes if you enjoy this type of story. If you like this genre of books than this would probably be a fantastic listen. For those of us who skitter around the edges of BDSM in our books, this was a little too much for what I would usually find appealing. Let me start by saying I listen to a wide variety of books, but this is the first time I have listened to a book with this much BDSM and to this depth. Which in the scheme of things is probably milder than most. I never had any interest in the whole Grey thing. While there is a story, it is basically a story of the h being trained to be a submissive for the H. There is a bit of a love triangle or rather a sex triangle. Is there a HEA, yes. A HEA the H/h are happy with.

There is being an Dom then there is being an a**hole Dom.

Embarrassment, pain, humiliation and self doubt. Personally I definitely do not consider these sexy. Embarrassment for the sake of embarrassment is never sexy. Enjoying someone's fear is never sexy. Humiliation is not a turn on. Constantly causing someone to doubt themselves and ask if they have done something wrong is not a healthy relationship no matter Vanilla, BDSM or whatever. As they say, different strokes for different folks, but there is a limit. And yes some of the sex was very steamy and then some was a definite whoa, wait - hold on there buddy. So be prepared.

She was constantly reminded that she has the right to tell him that she was not comfortable with what he is asking her to do - I don't think she ever said no. No backbone at all. You can be a sub, but you still need to have some self respect.

Sierra Kline does a really good job with the narration. Pleasant voice, easy to listen to for long periods of time. Clearly spoken, good pacing. Good character voices.

Audio quality changes occasionally, volume lowers then goes back to normal repeatedly throughout the series, but it is especially bad in the 4th and 5th book

This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review.

If you’re on the lookout for a light read then this book is for you! I am an avid fan of E.L James and Sylvia Day so going into the book I was fairly aware of the BDSM involvement. As a reader who is always willing to give an author a fair chance I was impressed by Bridget Taylor’s work.

The story is fast-paced, it doesn’t drag on longer than necessary and manages to keep the reader engaged. I’ll admit that while the storyline and character growth may not be as developed as some would prefer, I thought that it was all very appropriate for a series of this nature. Taylor writes with the intention of thrilling her readers and keeping their attention!

I find that Henry and Stacey are a rather fascinating couple and their dynamic together is engaging. As a female I found myself hoping Stacey would realize her worth, and perhaps she does in a way - with becoming Henry’s sub. The relationship they develop is far from a ‘normal’ and ‘typical’ relationship however the respect and admiration they have for each other is endearing. I enjoyed how Henry at times seem very human, something I think BDSM writers lose track of. Instead Taylor created a bit of an enigma, he’s a Master but he also shows moments of nervousness throughout the story. I found I was more interested in learning about Henry than I was Stacey.

Overall I would recommend this book to readers who are interested in BDSM works and are looking for a light read that will entertain and entrance them. Bridget Taylor will draw you into Henry and Stacey’s world and leave you wanting more!

Since I was looking for an author that was new to me and also something within this genre, it has been awhile since I have read anything good, I thought I would give Bridget Taylor a try. Henry is not a badly written character and Stacey does fall a little into the typical role during the storyline. She perceives herself as someone who isn’t interesting enough to catch Henry’s attention only to be surprised that she did. This in itself can be tricky because I have found it to be a common theme in a lot of BDMS stories. With that being said though I’m pretty sure most authors are trying to show how this type of female character doesn’t realize the power that they have to attract the type of man that the male lead tends to be. As to the storyline I found that it kept me engaged, I can bore rather easily but I was able to read through the series in a night. There was a nice flow to the story and it actually flowed nicely through each of the books. Nothing irks me more than the books just don’t fit together well. The characters are paired well and there is a little heat to the books. If you are not a BDSM fan this may not be for you but if you are looking for something a little racy and are open minded it is definitely something you should consider.

Spelling and grammar

I can usually read a book in a day. This book took me a week. It was detailed and sometimes cumbersome to read. The only reason I gave it 2 stars, was because of extensive spelling and grammar mistakes. I'm the first one to say my spelling and grammar are atrocious. I'm not publishing a book. I'm not also asking people to buy the book. With that said, if not for spelling and grammar I would of given the book 4 stars. This book was very different from most of the BDSM romance books I have read. I do recommend this book to read. If you can look past the spelling and grammar, you will be very pleased with the outcome of the characters.

It really bothered me that the FMC was basically told that she had to allow the CEO to sexually harass her or her job and her teams could be in jeopardy at the beginning of the story. I’ve read some pretty gross “plot adds” in the last few romances lately and I’m wondering why they’re necessary.

Having a character being told to accept sexual harassment under threat of job loss and to compound that with guilt for the potential backlash to reflect on others is not a great plot point; even if the FMC and the CEO will end up really getting together later.

Dominant male characters are one thing, sexual harassment is another. Let’s stop making romance/erotica creepy and gross.

I look up and realize several hours went by. Yes, several hours. I read every single book in this series, from start to finish, in one day. I had plans for today. Plans I did not do because I needed to make sure Grace was safe. I needed to make sure Link ended up with her. I needed to know what was going to happen. And this series made it so hard to walk away from it, bathroom break be damned, you can go later when they are all safe.
Read this series. You're welcome. Don't worry, you'll thank me after you are done experiencing the emotional roller coaster from this series.

I was given this book in return for an honest review

I'm not too big a fan of this genre, however this is a very well written book. Starting out, I was afraid it would be a 50 shades knockoff, however it held it's own very well. I became invested In the characters and hoping for the best turnout. I didn't particularly care for the non-monogomy (I'm not comfortable calling it polygamy because it really wasn't) but I could see the need for it in certain places. That and a few grammatical errors here and there are really the only gripe I have.

This book was an ok read. I couldn't personally connect with either character. Lennox is not emotional at all, he still continues to have office affairs even when in a dom/sub relationship with Stacey. She allows this and then she sees a man who was released from Lennox Corp because of her. I like reading BDSM books not just because of the steamy parts but because of the closeness that they usually need and trust within in each other, so that is why this was not the book for me. It wasn't the writing or anything like that, I just needed a deeper connection with the characters.

If one likes stories that are descriptive of the BDSM lifestyle then one will like this story. I enjoyed the book because I learned some things I didn't know. There is a love triangle involved also so one is kept wondering how the whole situation will be resolved. The ending was a little strange for mr but that may be what happens in the kinky lifestyle.
