Four best friends—Kate, Mia, Lainey, and Gabby—travel to Never Land, where they find adventure and friendship. Tinker Bell and the Disney Fairies star in a magical early chapter-book series for readers ages 6 to 9—Disney The Never Girls!
I missed reading this series to my daughter. The latest is the start of a multi book adventure and I loved every aspect of it. Gabby finds a ship model in her attic that her great grandfather made and when she forgets it in Neverland Tink finds it and makes it seaworthy since its the perfect size for fairies. Only she ends up going missing and the other fairies and girls have to search for her. The book so far is shaping up to be one of the more complex Nevergirls' story lines and I say kudos to that. I cant wait for the next book. I think I liked it more than my daughter.
It all started because of the hand-crafted toy boat sisters Mia and Gabby found in the closet. Or maybe it was the mischievous south wind, making their fairy friend Tinker Bell dream of exploring beyond Never Land. In any case, both the boat and Tink are missing now. Gabby has to find the boat, because her papi's abuelo made it and she can't stand his quiet disappointment. And everyone is worried about Tink. Along with their friends Kate and Lainey, they will have to venture farther than ever before. A quick, fun start to a new series.
This is the new run of Never Girls book and finds the four friends on a new adventure. They go to Never Land and end up losing a toy boat which Tinker Bell finds and fixes up and takes with her on a journey as she's been wanting an adventure. The book is just the lead-up to the series as it will find the girls traversing Never Land and beyond to find their friend.
Just started reading these stories with my son and I love them. They’re so entertaining and fun. I would have loved them when I was a young child. I would have pretended I was in pixie hollow with the fairies allllll the time. Kind of jealous of kids these days haha. This particular series is extra fun because of the mystery and intrigue of Shadow Island. Highly recommend.
Sydney, age 6.5: “I’d give it four stars. I didn’t like how short it was, but it was good how it ended. It made me want the next book. I didn’t like that Tink took Gabby’s boat though. I’m excited to find out about Shadow Island.”
I thought it was amazing, and when I read it, it felt like I was in it too, because it felt real. The things that happened, in the end of the book, they actually flew in the air, and it was really amazing.

I read this series of 6 books with my 6 year old daughter. I think it's really well written and a good adventure story. I didnt realize when we started it that this is a continuation of the original Never Girls series, which we haven't read, but it was fine and didn't decrease our understanding of the story.
