Forbidden: An Alex Conner Chronicles Novella (Alex Conner Chronicles #2.5) by Parker Sinclair as interesting and unique as the other book in this fascinating series.
To start this is a part of the Alex Conner series, but you do not, in my opinion, need to read the other books, as this one is sort of a filler, ora bridge, you could say. But I do suggest reading them, as they are freaking outstanding, and it will help with some background on the reoccurring characters.
Okay lets get down to it. I will say that this book did start a little slow for me, being only 162 pages, and reading fast, the opening, for me, should have been a bit more, urgent. I do get why it was written this way, as there were somethings that needed to be put into perspective, but again, for me, took up a little too much time. Now don't get me wrong, it was well written and very interesting, it was missing, like I said, urgency. When there is a missing person involved, every second counts. (I'm speaking from experience, so whenever I read books were the plot is about finding something, I get antsy when things lag). As the story moved forward it pick up and I got what I wanted.
A freaking outstanding read with lost of drama, up, downs and lots of gut punching feels.
Overall this was a perfect addition to the series, and though you don't need to read it, I highly suggest you do. There's always mystery when is comes to side characters in a series, and when there is a book that features their story, it adds a certain depth to the overall experience, that makes the story and the world that's it set it more realistic and well rounded. Combined that with a solid plot and on point writing and, you got a gold star read that adds to the series and to it's characters. (In cased you missed it, Forbidden has all that.. and much much more)
This is a high recommendation from me, not just this book, book this series. It's more then unique, it's really something special and the only way for you to truly know what I mean, is to get this book/series, and read it.

Forbidden by Parker Sinclair a compelling five-star read. This is part 2.5 of the Alex Conner Chronicles and it could be a stand-alone but I have read the first two books Trust and Truth and gives great back story, they whet the appetite very well and this novella was a tasty aperitif before the third course (book) comes and its going to be a good one I’m sure as this series has gone from strength to strength. Each character has their own story and this time it’s the urn of Sandra Oman and she is an enigma of a character we finally get to see what makes her tick, what made her the best friend you would die for. All I can say is in one way I wish it was another hundred pages or so, but on the other I don’t think my heart could have taken it. It was in my mouth for huge chunks of this story. Thankyou for your amazing words.

This is a novella in the Alex Conner Chronicles series
It is no secret that Sandra is a knockout. She turns heads wherever she goes. She is a Seer and the best friend of Earthen Protector, Alex Conner. Once Alex goes missing, Sandra tries everything she can to find her. When Sandra has no luck locating Alex, she has no choice but to seek help from the one person she is forbidden to contact.
In this novella, we catch a glimpse of Sandra's dark and hidden past, one that no one in Sandra's present life knows about. Sandra heads home to Virginia to ask her twin brother, Logan for help in locating Alex. Sandra knows that if anyone can help, it will be Logan. She is not sure the type of reception she will get from him after he specifically told her not to contact him ever again. She is also apprehensive about heading home because of the possibility of her running into her lost love, Jax. Things did not end well between them and she never got over him.
There is so much that went on in this novella. We finally get Sandra's back story and find out about her past and how she came to live in San Diego. I really enjoyed Sandra's perspective. It is always nice when a book is written in the first person, that when the focus gets shifted to another character, you get the reactions and thoughts of that character to events that already happened. This was a great in between before we see what happened to Alex after she disappears. I look forward to the next adventure.

Forbidden: Alex Connor Chronicles by Parker Sinclair. I give this book 5/5 stars. The theme of this book is a friend goes missing so the twins and a friend go to help her. This is the Novella in the Alex Connor Chronicles Series.
Sandra is Alex’s best friend and a Seer. She goes back to her hometown so she can get help. Her twin brother has told her to stay away, what happens when she doesn't listen? The first quote I chose for her is when she first sees her ex: “I’m still fuzzy from our last attempt and I don’t want to waste any more time. One thing I know, and something that I’ll never forget, is that all the stories we heard growing up are real. Logan told me before we parted. All the magical lands, people, creatures— those places our parents told us about— they’re all real. Avalon is one of those places, and Logan knows something about it. I’m sure of it.” The second quote is when he asks if she married to punish him: “No, Goddess, it was more like punishing myself. I felt I was to blame for everything. If I’d stayed put maybe that man would still be alive. If I’d just gone against Logan, and instead told you about his visions and fears, maybe you would never have been tricked by that Demon. That awful regret made me reckless and desperate, and that’s when I met Drew.”
Jax is also a Seer and has been possessed by a Demon. He thinks of Sandra often. His life is thrown together when he gets his best friends back. The first quote I chose for him is what he says to her: “You look good, Sandra. It’s been a long time.” The second quote is when they are talking: “Sandra, it wasn’t your fault. We were fooling ourselves in college, thinking we were safe from the evils our parents had faced. I knew, as well as you did, that Logan transferring to Tech was odd, and I should’ve made him tell me why. I’m at fault as much as Logan. We should have carried the burden together—not scattered.”
This is the first book I've read by Sinclair. I really liked everything about the book. I felt so many emotions throughout the book. I was instantly in the book from the beginning. I highly recommend this if you love paranormal romances. Check out this amazing author, series and any books she has.

This is the first book in this series that I read now I can honestly say I should have read the first two books before heading into this one but hey a good book is a good book. Parker Sinclair has written a book that has you drawn in and wanting to know the whys, how and when. This is a book captivates the reader from the start with it being, action-packed, steamy romance and a real eye-opening read. I think for you to really understand the mystery that is Sandra Oman, you need to read the books in order, just to be able to get an insight into this world and the other characters surrounding this story. With that being said, this really gives you a look into the character that is Sandra and her past and makes you want to read more.
Sandra is a talented sexy bombshell, but she also happens to be a seer. And the best friend of Earthen Protector Alex Conner. But when her best friend mysteriously disappears, Sandra has to contact the one person she has been forbidden to see or contact in order for some answers and help to save her friend.
But can Sandra and those who she used to be close to be able to finally move forward from their past holding them back and start to trust each other again?
I loved how this book was written, as you got the thoughts and feelings of the characters from their POV.
I got a little confused in this novella but that was because I didn't read the first two books. It had nothing to do with Parkers writing.
With a cliff-hanger ending, this book has most defiantly captivated me into this amazing fantasy world full of seer’s, demons, fae that is The Alex Conner Chronicles, now to read book 1 & 2 before eagerly awaiting Book 3. Don't take my word for it go and get a copy of all 3 books I know I'm going to read the first one. Happy Reading.

Forbidden is a novella, not full length novel, in the Alex Conner Chronicles series from Parker Sinclair. I would if you haven’t before, start by reading books one and two in order. It will set things up for this book perfectly. This has a lot of book in one small package and will end on a cliffhanger that will leave you anxiously awaiting for book #3.
In this book we get things from the point of view of Sandra, Alex’s best friend. Sandra is a Seer and can communicate telepathically with her friend Alex but that is it. She can’t find her and needs to work quickly to do so. She is faced with having to contact the one person she was forbidden from contacting in order to save her best friend and see her alive again. When she contacts him she is faced with past transgressions and the wounds that came with it that are yet to be healed. Will she be able to find the Alex and forgiveness?
“Come back for me.”
Expect a lot of science fiction, demons, magical forces that are new, and mystery to be evident in this storyline much like the previous books. I really enjoyed my brief stay in this world for a while and loved that it was the perfect length for a quick afternoon read. I can’t wait to see what will come next in this series!

this is book three in the Alex cross chronicles by Parker Sinclair. you really need to go back and read book one trust and book two truth to get the background on the characters and to fully understand what is going on. this is my first book by this author and it will not be the last.

She needs help, but the ones who can help never wanted to see her again. Will they help her? Can she save her best friend? At what cost?
This is a story written in Sandra's point of view. It delves into her past and you learn so much more about her. She was always just Alex's best friend. Now you learn what made her into who she is today and meet the people she cares most about. It is written to fit perfectly into the series. I have always loved Sandra and was so excited to see more of her than just a Seer and a pretty face, not to mention meet the men from her past.

Forbidden: An Alex Conner Chronicles Novella (The Alex Conner Chronicles) by Parker Sinclair is a quick taste of science fiction and fantasy that I gave 4 out of 5 stars. It is told from the POV of the main character Sandra, who is a Seer. Her best friend is taken, and she must stop at nothing to find him. Sandra is a character from the Alex Conner Chronicles, and this is her story. This novella can be read as a stand-alone, but I highly recommend reading the rest of this amazing series.
Alex Conner, Earthen protector, is Sandra’s best friend. She has to get help from the one person she shouldn’t, her twin Logan, in order to get him back. Logan and Sandra are both Seers who parted ways during college due to a tragedy. They join forces to find Alex, and bring him back safely. Will they be able to work through their issues and save Alex?

This is my 3rd book by this author and although short was packed full of content. I really enjoy this author's writing style and although this is not my chosen genre I really did enjoy reading this novella.
This one centers around Sandra who is Alex’s best friend. When Alex goes missing Sandra dares to pull those that she was told to stay away from in to help. She needed to find and help Alex since she felt as though it was her fault for not being able to warn her in time. Now she does all she can to try to find Alex with the help of her past that is not something that's easy to explain and poor Sandra is simply eaten up with guilt from all angles. Can these 3 pull together and get over their tragic past and find Alex in time?
I can't wait to see where this story goes next.

This one centers around Sandra who is Alex’s best friend. When Alex goes missing Sandra dares to pull those that she was told to stay away from in to help. She needed to find and help Alex since she felt as though it was her fault for not being able to warn her in time. Now she does all she can to try to find Alex with the help of her past that is not something that's easy to explain and poor Sandra is simply eaten up with guilt from all angles. Can these 3 pull together and get over their tragic past and find Alex in time?
I can't wait to see where this story goes next.

This is the third book that I have read by this author now and again I just love her amazing writing skills. I am easily transported into the worlds that she has created and I love her amazing characters. I think that this was a nice little filler book for the series and I really enjoyed getting to know Sandra who is Alex’s best friend.
I quite liked Sandra, her character was a little complex and I enjoyed getting to know more about her. I think it was pretty obvious how important a friend Alex is to Sandra – she would do anything to find her!
This is book 2.5 in the series and could be read as a standalone but I would highly recommend reading the first two books in the series too as they are excellent reads! I look forward to more from this author in the future.

Here’s a quick read for you Alex Conner fans! Alex has been kid-napped and it’s up to her best friend, Sandra, to find her. But first, Sandra must face her past and discover what really happened that fateful night! Sandra is not only Alex’s best friend, but she is also a Seer. Which means she has visions of the past and can see what could happen in the future. She must focus her skills on finding Alex with the help of two other Seers from her past.
Parker Sinclair has written an entertaining adventure that makes you want to jump right in and see if you can help!
This book must be read after the first two in this series. The characters aren’t really given an introduction in this novella so you must already know who they are. I enjoyed this story since I read the first two and I look forward to finding out what the group gets into next and how they will rescue Alex!

Forbidden: An Alex Conner Chronicles Novella: A Paranormal & Supernatural Romance ( Book 2.5) By Parker Sinclair this is a part of the Alex Conner series which by the way is amazing! But I’d say this could be read as a standalone without confusion but I do suggest you picking up the other just because they are well worth the read and set a bit of the scene. This book while a bit slow at the beginning definitely picks up with it’s uniqueness. There’s enough action and suspense to keep you turning those pages to see what’s going to happen. The storyline is well thought out and paced nicely not feeling rushed. I’ve become a fan of the authors writing it truly tells a story you can’t help but want to know. I’m giving the story a four star review and highly recommend it.

It takes a minute to get to the more interesting parts. Jax is a jerk and I don’t understand why he had to be that way. I felt bad for her through most of the book. Forbidden is a paranormal romance novella by Parker Sinclair and part of the Alex Conner Chronicles series (book 2.5) but it could be read as a stand alone. Sandra is a seer and is Alex Conner's best friend, when Alex goes missing she is going to need the help of the one person she is never supposed to contact if she wants to bring her friend back. Although this is a quick read there is no shortage of action and adventure. I really enjoyed the other books have read in this series and this novella lived up to my expectations. If you are looking for a suspenseful, paranormal filled read then this is for you!

Forbidden by Parker Sinclair is another entertaining read in the Alex Conner Chronicles. Forbidden is actually a novella and its book 2.5 of the series. I would suggest reading this whole series in order to fully appreciated this story as there are many recurring characters and storylines. The Alex Conner series is completely unique, it’s intense, action-packed, suspenseful, and dark while also managing to be funny and quirky. There’s truly never a dull moment with this perfectly flowing storyline, I enjoyed this story from start to finish. Forbidden, by Parker Sinclair, is part of the Alex Conner Chronicles. This paranormal/fantasy novella is a well written story despite some slow parts through it. I felt that the descriptive details and story line more than made up for this minor flaw. Despite the "shortness" of the story, the author did a great job of creating a beautiful story. I have read a few other books within this series, by the author and they are full of interest, intrigue and maintained my focus throughout. I enjoyed the paranormal aspects giving it that additional edge to the story.

Forbidden: An Alex Conner Chronicles Novella 2.5 by Parker Sinclair and continues after book 2 but before book 3. It is a short read but a good read. I suggest that you start with book one or you will not know what is going on and you will get a better picture and background on this loveable characters. This paranormal, fantasy, romance is another winner by Parker. The magic and mystery entices you into their world where demons and fae cause more havoc for our book friends.

Forbidden by Parker Sinclair is an Alex Conner Chronicles Novella (Book 2.5). The reading order for this series is: Trust, Truth, Forbidden and Only. This is kind of Sandra’s story, as Alex’s best friend she breaks the rules to find him, no matter the cost. As memories threaten to over take Sandra by her choice of going to the one person she was warned to stay away from will that be the one thing needed to bring Alex back. Forbidden is full of intrigue and mystery along with the strength to do anything to find your best friend.

A nice little fill in book focusing on one of the main characters,Dana. In this novella we learn a bit more of her background and her big bad secrets.
Obviously as a novella it was a quick read but that doesn’t mean it was lacking! There was loads of action-both the romantic and demon fighting type. As well as great descriptions of the supernatural beings that are going to be a key feature in the next book.
As I said before it’s a great filler to ride us over until the next Alex Conner book is released!

Forbidden is a novella in the Alex Conner series written from Sandra’s perspective. It is best understood if read in series order, after books one and two. I really appreciated reading this addition to the series from a new perspective. What will happen to Alex? What is Sandra hiding? How will things resolve? And what will happen in book 3? I enjoyed this novella and look forward to reading book 3.

Even though this story is short it packs a hell of a punch definitely left me ready for more. I recommend reading the first two novels of this series so you can get a better understanding what's going on. The novella certainly kept me hooked and i found the storyline slow paced but it was so intense and brilliant you will not care.

Forbidden by Parker Sinclair is a Novella in The Alex Conner Chronicles. This can be read as a stand alone but I would definitely recommend reading the whole series in order. I really enjoyed reading from the point of view of Sandra. She is an awesome seer who must face her past to save her friend! Parker Sinclair has created an amazing series!

Forbidden an Alex Conner Chronicles novella written by Parker Sinclair picks up right where book two has ended. Alex has disappeared into thin air right in front of her best friend Sandra. This whole book is in Sandra's point of view and about Sandra. She is a seer and as we learned in the previous books Alex is an earthen protector. It digs a little deeper into her character and we learn new things about her that we previously didn't know. With Alex's disappearance Sandra has to face her past and head home. Seeking the help of other Seer’s to find out what happened to Alex and figuring out how to rescue her. This book was a pretty fast read. I feel like the author has a lot of promise in writing and that this was a solid effort. The characters were well developed and the writing is good and can keep people engaged and interested. I would say if you like paranormal books that are unlike others of the same genre you will probably enjoy this book and series. There is a bit of a cliffhanger for those that like to know those things in advance. I rated 4 stars.

Forbidden is a riveting Novella in the Alex Connor Chronicles, by Parker Sinclair. It is set after Trust and Truth, paving the way for the much anticipated 3rd book in the series.
I loved that this Novella centres on Sandra Oman, a sexy bombshell, who is a powerful seer and Alex Connor’s best friend. She has appeared in both other books, and I absolutely love her character, but there was a mysteriousness about her that has always intrigued me- I have wanted to know more about her and her backstory for quite some time now. Well, this Novella explores her backstory and gives us an insight into what she is all about, and has answered all of my questions.
If you haven’t read the first two books yet, I think you are doing yourself a disservice- because a lot of things that happened in the previous book/s are referred to in this Novella- so your enjoyment factor of this book would be much higher, having read the other books first.
This Novella picks up right where Truth (Book #2) left off; Alex has vanished- literally snatched out of thin air, right in front of Sandra. With no idea of who is responsible for Alex’s disappearance, or where she might be- Sandra has been trying to piece together the events but is unable to use her abilities to trace Alex, as a powerful force seems to be blocking her.
Sandra has no choice but to seek out the help of the one person who she was banned from contacting. If she ever wants to see Alex again, Sandra is going to have to revisit her past and reopen some old, painful wounds.
Where is Alex? Who took her and why? What secrets has Sandra been keeping all this time? Who is it that she hopes will help her? Can she find some closure of her own in the process? Is it possible to find forgiveness and some redemption for/from past trauma- moving past all the fear, pain, regret and mistrust that have haunted her for so long? Will she be able to locate Alex and rescue her, or will she be too late?
Throw in a lot of magic, powerful demonic forces, a mysterious and formidable totem, vengeful forces, and plenty of action; just to name a few- and you know you have the makings of a gripping, engrossing and fantastic story.
Wow, I was on the edge of my seat for a lot of this Novella, the story swiftly swept me along on a wonderful, exhilarating journey and I didn’t want it to end. Ms. Parker really packed a lot into a small package, her wonderful detailed scene setting and descriptive imagery really helped to bring this story to life. The way Ms. Sinclair is able to paint a picture with her words, is testament to her talented writing skills.
The story is fast paced, flows smoothly and is a quick read. I read it in an afternoon.
It ends on a bit of a cliff-hanger that had me cussing at the author (sorry, Ms. Sinclair). I really need to know what happens, right now!!!!! I am going to be excitedly waiting, in a lot of suspense- for ‘ONLY: ALEX CONNOR CHRONICLES’ Book #3. I really can’t wait.

Geez the woman hasn’t even been in her hometown for an hour and she already being question and etc. I know Jax is her ex-lover, but if you didn’t want to see her you could’ve went out of your way to avoid her. But no!
You kiss her on the spot and tells the clerk that she doesn’t need a vehicle because you going to give her a ride. And then become a jerk all in less than 10 minutes. I don’t know if this made anyone upset, but I’m sure am. He differently did not have to go and get her if he felt that way.
Other than that book starts off kind of slow, but it gives great detail and description on what’s going on in the story. But still is kind of a slow going book, it slowly brings you up to speed on what’s going on, and into the action.
Basically Sandra is a young woman who has a great power inside her, she’s a Seer. Being a Seer, she able to go into visions that shows her what has happened in the past, present and what could possibly happen in the future.
Sandra was told never to contact her twin brother Logan, or her ex- lover Jax or go back to her hometown. But she has no other choice when her best friend Alex goes missing. She’s going to need all the help she can get, including those who warn her not come back.
Now that’s what I call a true best friend, willing to put aside everything just to save the one that she cherished.
But Sandra, feels guilt for not being able to warn Alex of what may happen to her before it happened. Reading this part was kind of hard for me, I know Sandra is a seer, but she won’t be able to see everything, and it’s not like she’s has full control over her vision. For her to narrow down what should come down in her channel for her prevent for things to happen.
She also feels guilt for what happen between Logan, Jax, and her. She feels guilt about the way she was unable to explain things that happen in the past. And how she could’ve handle the problem in a different way and maybe change the past mistakes. I felt like Sandra was being too hard on herself, especially considering all the drama and issues that are occurring.
Reading this book, I felt sorry for Sandra, it seems like one thing after another of problems and issues for her. The woman couldn’t get a break not to mention she couldn’t find Alex on her own.
Then to read about her lost love, and how he runs hot and cold on her. And how her brother was one way and now he’s not, makes me think “geez give the woman a break”. I do feel bad for Logan, even though the choices his makes doesn’t seem good, he does it with good intentions.

The book is told from Sandra’s POV. One of the reasons that I love fantasy stories is that anything and everything can happen. Creatures that are only myths come alive and you can lose yourself in that magical world. This is the second book that I have read by this author and I know I enjoy her writing style and character development. This book does have adult situations so I would recommend for those 18 years or older.
