I suppose my life could be described as a romance novel itself. Life has many twists and turns, many forks in the road, and numerous bumps. But we learn and we grow.
I am a firm believer in, 'your life is what you make it', And I am greatful for the two important people in my life that taught me that approach. May they be watching me now.

I married my childhood sweetheart, and had he gifted me with a son...everything has a Happy Ever After, you just need to believe in it.

Yes, I ramble, and at times it is a challenge to shut me up.

Apart from the obvious duties in life, writing is the only thing that I can sit and concentrate on without contemplating all the other things I should/could be doing. If I'm not writing...I'm thinking about writing, usually with a coffee in my hand.

I always start the day with a coffee, and a motivational quote. It really does help.

Haven and Wyatt met in High School. It was a love-at-first-sight kind of thing for both of them.
We follow Haven and Wyatt through the years by Haven writing about it. She’s writing a beautiful speech about her life with Wyatt, but we have no idea why she does it. But we’re kinda afraid that it’ll be for his funeral, because we all know he was in the military ☹
But of course we don’t yet know, and there’s still time for the reader to hope ☺

All I knew was that we had known each other for a few months, yet it felt like years. All I knew was that my heart would ache and the sting of salted moisture would burn my eyes when somehow, an alternative reality would be conjured up in my mind, a reality where Wyatt Epson was no longer there with me and I’d never hear or see him again.

I really enjoyed this novella.
It has this sad vibe from the beginning, but there’s also this hopeful, adorable feeling right from the start. Both Haven and Wyatt are so young and in love and the whole future lies ahead of them. It’s adorable to read about their first date, first kiss et cetera.

And all through the unfortunately very short story, we keep asking ourselves, WHAT IS HAPPENING??? WHERE IS WYATT?? WHAT AND WHY AND GRRRRR ☺

I can’t write any more details - it would spoil too much - it’s a shortish novella after all...
Just read it - it’s worth it!!! Even though there might be some ugly crying involved!

And now a tiny little rant - please don’t read it if you haven’t read the book - or you should probably not read it at all ☺☺☺ I’m just weird with some things – and this is one! I'll put it in a hidden Spoiler thingy, so that most people won't read it ☺Uhm, where to start? We know pretty soonish that Wyatt must be dead, probably the blurb clued you in already. But still you’re hoping for a better ending. I think I don’t like this new trend ... authors writing those kinds of stories. Yes, there’s always been those sad romances from Nicholas Sparks etc. but this year alone I’ve already read 4 books where the hero dies at the end - or both die or whatever. I don’t want that. Do people want that??? Readers? I think most people have enough grief and sadness and pain in their lives. They want those precious reading moments each day to be beautiful and perfect. Yes, I like some ugly crying in my books, but I want it to have a happy ending!!! I can deal with all kinds of drama and sadness and danger and stuff in books, but I don’t want my heroes to die. And I also know most authors write those stories to deal with a personal loss or experience, but … I don’t know – please don’t share it with us. Write it in a journal and leave it be. Ok, rant over! This story was still very good!!! But please dear authors...don’t let so many people die!!!

What a heart wrenching story! This one will definitely bring tears to your eyes in just the few pages that it is, so I suggest having tissues close by. The story starts out with Haven having to write a speech, but the mystery is left in trying to figure out what the speech is for. Through her speech we see how Haven and Wyatt met and go through their dating all the way to the present. To say anything more would spoil it and I think everyone should read this for themselves. This was the first book I've read by King, but she has other books written under V.L. Brock that I need to check out.

Holy fucking heartache hell. This short story tore me apart in such a short amount of pages. I started this a couple of hours ago and couldn't stop reading. It kept me glued to my kindle. The words wrapped around my heart and choked me. Guh! Wow, it's only .99 people. And it was painful, but so good. Definitely a highly recommended read for all you masochists, such as myself. Oh yeah, have tissues handy.

A five star ugly cry book that is worth every tear shed !

As a big fan of Victoria L King's work I was eager to read this book . Her work never disappoints and this book certainly doesn't . I have read everything she has written and I have got to say that this is her best work to date ! She has exceeded every expectations . What an outstanding read !
This is a beautifully tragic love story that is utterly compelling which leaves you an emotional wreck but at the same time leaves you feeling honoured to have read such a story . Upon reading the first few chapters you start to have an inkling of what might happen but you just have to keep reading no matter how big the lump is in your throat or how much you cry throughout this book . Such a gripping story .
One of the best military love story's I've ever read . Such a compelling beautifully written tragic love story that has you ugly crying within minutes .
Victoria, congratulations on what can only be described as your best work to date , and you know how much I love Impulses ! You've exceeded yourself . Congratulations on an outstanding book . I would also like to congratulate Jamie who wrote the most beautiful poem that is perfect for this book . Well done Jamie .

I know I ranked this as a 5, and it deserved it. However, I am still bawling....THANKS author, so its not going on my favorites list :P. There is no HEA on this one folks. This is a very beautiful, realistic and poignant book. If you don't need a HEA, then you need to read this. I gotta have my HEAs and I still loved this book. It looks like she's setting up a series. If that's the case then we all need to read it! If she can do this awesome with a sad story, then the sky is the limit with this author's talent :)

Do you Remember by V L King

I'm a blubbering wreck here I don't think I've ever read such an emotional heartbreaking story, that is probably so close to home for thousands of women out in the world.

VL King has written another fabulous story and even though it is only a novella nothing is missed out.

This story doesn't have a HEA but when reading it, it shouldn't have one.

It's a military story that will definitely bring tears to your eyes and feel what everyone married to a military person feels when they are deployed.

Well done V L King an amazing piece of writing.

firstly before you start this have the tissues at the ready.....this is an ugly cry book!
I read this book in one sitting and it was amazing. a fantastic story of true love.
it was fantastically written and i felt as if i was actually there in the story......
i was hooked from the very beginning!
the story flowed and its was very emotional but def worth a read!

❤️ It's written on the cover itself, A Sweethearts Novel, which is just so true.

❤️ This is actually a sweetheart novel, it just left me all in tears. I read it in my bed and the book literally made me cry for like hours. I was stuck in the characters and the story for days and it's still on my mind(even after it's been 4 days since I've read the book). The author made has explained each and every incident so beautifully, be it about the incidents of everybody near the lockers, in the lobbies within the periods, or about the love life, the first eye contact, first kiss or first meeting.

❤️ Once again, let me tell you guys that I'm a big fan of rom-com, the romantic novels has my heart forever, but this short novel of just 108 pages, oh my Gosh... has another level of emotions filled in it. The story of Haven and Wyatt made me this emotional. The military love story which led to a heart full of tears. The way in which the author has explained their meetings, their first date, their love, all over, is just too fantasizing. But, later on, when you know it's the time to focus on careers, after school. Wyatt, has to follow his father and join the army, but skype calls helped both of them. Haven and Wyatt were still trying their best to enjoy this long distance relationship. But, something happened, that Haven didn't get any more skype calls, no more waiting for Wyatt at the airports... Why did it all stop? Is this the end of their stories? It's the time of our heartbreaks and theirs too. This broke me ;((

❤️ I just wanted it to be a happy endinggg. But their Love never ends. The author has explained a lot of events very beautifully and amazingly. Thank you to the V.L. King for introducing Haven and Wyatt into my life. The book is totally amazing and the end will leave you into tears. The story is a must read for everyone. You are going to love it to next level. The book kept me hooked till the end. All the incidents wanted me to know what is cooking next. Beautifully narrated and written.

❤️ The cover is beauty, it couldn't have been better than this at all. I usually do not rate the stories as 5. There are a few of them which leaves an impact on my mind. This is one of those stories. Must must read!!! ❤️❤️❤️

📝There are several kinds of books so you need to select certain particular books to understand a certain part of life occasionally. Have you ever wondered if you should read something? With some amazing scenes, I have come across a book that is known as "Do you Remember?: A Sweethearts Novella "

📝“Do you remember” by V.L. King is a short read of 106 pages that I finished reading last night and trust me it is one of the best read of 2021 and I would like to praise the Author as he has good narration skills and an amazing writing style.

📝Students walked around the lobbies of Emory High, Los Angeles, from the second to the third period. Much of two thousand five hundred students marched through corridors and fields just at the same time as the ants in a maze.

📝The misunderstanding he had with my vocabulary vanished and I found myself watching his eyes in a matter of seconds, when they went from hazel to dark. His students stretched and his breathing rose, not to mention the tightening of his mouth, as his marionettes threw and insulted their master's shoulder.

📝Author has done great work in his debut novel. Pace of the story is fine and I didn't felt bored anytime while reading it. This novel has the power to hook the readers from the first page. I have even more expectations from the next book by V.L. King.

I LOVED this book from V.L. King!!!

My heart started breaking as I started reading this novella from V.L. King. I kinda had a feeling about what was happening as I was reading, but I held out hope that I was wrong. (You have no idea how bad I wanted to be wrong about this one.) Even though I figured out what was happening from the beginning, I could not stop reading this story. It is a beautiful, honest, and real love story. It pulled me in from the very beginning and did not let me go. By the time I got the end, the tears for falling for this couple.

It has been about 2 days since I finished reading and this book is still on my mind. I can still feel the pain, as if I actually knew the people that I was reading about. The emotion I found was what I have experienced reading some of my favorite books my authors like Nicholas Sparks or Erich Segal.

I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a love story that will stay with you long after you read the final sentence!! I hope to read more from V.L. King in the very near future!!!

Do you remember? It is a military romance that takes a look back from the first time they encounter each other on the lives of Haven and Wyatt Epson.

🤗Orchids were the first flowers ever that you purchased from me, and every time you gave me one, I still felt warm and fluffy. I put it back on the plaid comforter and tore it off a little, I buried it in my sandwich before me.

🤗But I can tell it's an emotionally touching short tale, and while it's a little structured for so personal memories, I always felt linked to the characters. I can't imagine how tough life must be, and it also strengthened my admiration for military families.

🤗This is ideal if you want a simple but satisfactory reading, maybe on a journey home. Actually no, you might find yourself in a train weeping. You were warned to pack tissues!

The book "Do You Remember?" is a short love story of around 111 pages.The story revolves around Haven and Wyatt who were in a long distance relationship.Its a honest and real love story which everyone will enjoy🥰Their first date is so beautifully described by the author.They both were trying their best to enjoy their distance relationship.Then a time comes when they realised that they had to focus on their career,wyatt has to follow his father and join the army.What happens then❓Will they end up just to focus completely on career❓Or will they be together till the end❓The plot is very well written.The language was not that tough to understand and grab the story.The cover looks so attractive and gorgeous😍

What a beautiful story, it’s a short read but it’s not lacking in content or emotion.

It’s hard to write this review because I don’t want to give anything away. We learn how Haven and Wyatt met as teenagers, we see all the little milestones they have as a couple.

This is a beautiful tender poignant love story told in reverse. Grab your tissues because this is emotional.

** Spoiler Alert ** I read this book as a beta reader and quick proofreading as a favour to the Author.

I loved this story. It was beautifully written and gripping from the start. VL King has a style of writing that makes things flow so smoothly you don't even realise that you've read so much until you stop and reflect.

This book was very emotional; you felt like you were there watching it as a movie not reading it in a book. The two main characters Haven and Wyatt, had a soft spot in my heart. Wyatt the cool 'Nirvana Rocker' shirt type with his insanely loose, black denim jeans. Ooooohhh!! He reminds me of my partner haha
It goes without saying that their love for each other was much to be desired. However, like anything, nothing lasts forever. You go through the life motions with them, their first date, to the first kiss, to their first time! It's all so perfect. Then as you read on, and Wyatt has to enlist in the army. Oh my god I almost died! He just had to follow his father and brother in that line of work like it was his business like it was expected of him and it probably was, but why?! Lol, I was crying along with Haven I swear it. I didn't want him to go either.
They go through the motions of keeping in touch and Skyping as much as they can. They get married; they get pregnant he's still out on tour in Iraq. It's a hellish of a time, and it really grips you in the stomach. He comes home! She meets him at the airport, and things are amazing again!
Then you begin to wonder why all of this is starting to sound like some eulogy! I gasp, and my breath gets caught as I dawn on the end of the story when that is exactly what it is! Wyatt didn't Skype her, Wyatt didn't come home greeting her at the airport, Wyatt did come home but not alive! OMG, I sobbed!
A must read, this book deserves to be lived

I finished reading Do You Remember by V. L. King. This is the first book that I have read by her. Just a little note from the ending of this book that V. L. King also has written more books under V. L. Brock for those that are interested in reading more from her.

Do You Remember is a short read and has about 106 pages per Goodreads.

Let me just say this is not a book that you should sit on a plane and read if you don’t want anyone seeing you cry. This is a love story. There is not a happily ever after but, it is an amazing book to read. Even though, I finished this book on the plane and sat there with tears in my eyes trying not to cry out loud. This book can make you ugly cry but, when it brings out that much emotion you know that the Author hit a home run because they have written a book so well that you have become emotionally involved with their book. And, even now as I am writing my review I am still emotional! This is a good book and I received Do You Remember as a complimentary gift for an honest review. I loved this story and I give it 5 stars. But, remember your Kleenex close to you when you read this book!

I don't know where to even begin with this book. I read this book in one sitting. It is an amazing book. I am telling you now, you are going to need tissues! What do you say to the one person that has loved you with everything they have, then one day not be there? When that loved one is in the military, you are constantly on edge. You don't know if they will come back.

This is the first book that I have read by V.L. King and it isn't going to be the last. Her words capture the emotion that she is pouring into this book. There is love, grief, happiness etc. You feel it all. I don't know if V.L. has experienced the loss that is expressed in this book, but if she has, she is a strong person for writing about it, if she hasn't then she has done an amazing job of letting the reader feel the loss.

An amazing short story. I loved it from the start. It was so sweet and touching. Though this book was short, the author managed to develop their relationship, their love believable and managed to hook me till the end. I would highly recommend this book to everyone.
