Welcome to Volume Two of “Not from Selected UFO Articles” by Preston Dennett. As with the first volume, Dennett ventures deep into the heart of the UFO field, revealing previously unexplored areas. Inside this volume you will •UFO INVESTIGATOR’S DISEASEOne of the hidden dangers of being a UFO investigator is becoming investigated by the UFOs themselves. It’s a clear-cut case of the hunter becoming the hunted.•ALIENS-R-USWhat exactly is our relationship with extraterrestrials? In some cases, it might be much closer than you think. In fact, there is good evidence that aliens and humans are related.•THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING ABDUCTEEThe technological ability of ETs is astounding, including the power to shrink or enlarge things, including both people and their own ships. •THE MYSTERY OF ANGEL HAIRAngel Hair is a rare substance ejected from UFOs. Nobody knows what it is, and only a handful of cases exist. It’s a mystery that has baffled ufologists for decades.•EXTRATERRESTRIAL GARDENERSAliens have multiple agendas, including--as these cases show--the systematic study and collection of plant-life from our planet.•UFO RESCUE AT SEAETs have been known to intervene in human affairs on many occasions. However, only a few people have reported being rescued from a sinking ship by a UFO.•THE SMELL OF UFOSIt’s an area of ufology that has received almost no attention. What do UFOs smell like? And what do their odors reveal about the phenomenon? The answers are surprising.•THE UFO BREATHING POOLOne of the rarest and most bizarre procedures performed onboard a UFO, the UFO breathing pool involve cases in which people are submersed in a breathable liquid.•ALIEN DRINKSIn some rare instances, when people are taken onboard a UFO, they are made to consume an exotic alien liquid. The question why?•UFOS AND ROCKETSUFOs are keeping a very close eye on humanity’s exploration of space. When it comes to rocket launches, somebody out there is watching us. As these cases will show, our space program is being closely monitored by aliens.Supported by firsthand cases from across the United States and the world, each chapter of “Not from Selected UFO Articles--Volume 2” adds another tiny piece into the vast puzzle of the UFO phenomenon.
A collection of articles written by Dennett over the years for different UFO publications. The articles are also UFO cases in a general theme, with most cases being a couple pages each. This made for quick reading and I’ll be reading more from him. Dennett has a very straightforward and down to earth writing style which made it feel more credible to me, with him often quoting the witnesses.
What I enjoyed less was when he would get done describing a case and end it with “Shortly later, Kenneth experienced the most profound abduction event of his life” and then move on to the next case. It was sadistic. Dennett also strongly believes in the benevolence of the UFOnauts, who he believes are extraterrestrials, which seemed odd after talking about a woman whose fetuses were kidnapped from her. He also said that there are no cases of UFOs hurting people unprovoked, which I don’t believe is as clear-cut as he portrayed it. Vallée has several cases of people being attacked and even killed by UFOs without provocation.
Had a lot of information that I haven't heard before. Kept you in suspense and other times had you laughing to yourself. Nice book, I would recommend it, easy but interesting read.
This is a series of articles done by the author and covers a wide variety of UFO topics. A lot has to do with abductions of people by space aliens. I want to point out one thing. Abduction sounds like a semi-neutral word. I would prefer kidnapping which, to me, sounds more serious and immediately reminds one of a serious crime.
Every kidnapping is a crime, whether it is done by humans or done by space aliens. It automatically implies an act that is evil, done with evil intent and by a person (or a space alien) that is at least partially evil if not totally evil.
Some other thngs the book points out that the space aliens do is wiping the minds of people who see them which is another action that falls into the not-so-good category. The aliens are also noted to be evasive in giving answers to questions which implies a negative aspect of what they are doing.
Some of the other topics include:
The Battle of Los Angeles, a real event during World War II.
Phones ringing supposedly due to a call from a space alien. (Why not just disconnect the phone for a while?)
The kidnapping of people, the taking of animals for a space alien zoo aboard their space ship and taking things from mines or doing their own mining.
UFOs and graveyards.
Disguised aliens walking among humans and visiting stores.
Clowns and space aliens.
Roswell.
Intimidation and murder of people who have become involved with UFO sightings and investigations.
Quite a bit is covered in the book. It also has some artwork in it and the piece for the chapter about space aliens walking among humans is really good and incredibly funny.
very interesting collection of articles, there are some disagreement regarding his positions, the author is quite traditionalist, however, it is very interesting nonetheless. A lot to take from this book.
