Thomas Marent is a Swiss nature and wildlife photographer whose passion for the outdoors began in childhood and deepened when he got his first camera at 16. He has published several follow-ups, leads wildlife photography tours, and supports butterfly conservation in Switzerland.
Beautiful photographs of so many different species of frogs, toads and even newts! Lots of important and straight info of certain frogs and their way of life. Loved it 😍
I give this book 10 stars! So much work has been put into it! And raising awareness to the plight of all the dying frogs in the rainforest is essential. Love this book!
This frog encyclopedia is a must-read for anyone who loves frogs. So many cute pictures!! The appearance of the frog and open fingers are super cute! It's really fun just looking at it.
Did you know If you lightly touch the frog's large eyes with your fingertips, the frog will twitch and withdraw its eyes. It made me feel nostalgic because I had a pet frog when I was a kid.
This is a big book full of beautiful photographs of different kinds of frogs, toads, and newts. I don't know what it is, but I really like frogs, and when I saw this book at the library I immediately snatched it up. I loved it! It probably made me a lot happier than it should have. I'd like to own it eventually.
The photography in this book is gorgeous! The text is sparse, but I still learned a good bit about frogs with the text and wonderful photos. The only negative is that I wish there was a better idea of scale for many of the pictures.
Fabulous book. Big and heavy and brimming with beautiful photos of whimsical and gloriously colored amphibians. Even better, I bought this off the discounted shelf. Wildlife photographer Thomas Marent also has a website full of gorgeous photos, and not just of frogs.
The photography is stunning! I learned so much from the little amount of text and the wide variety of photos. It's a must-have for anyone who loves frogs and for anyone who loves amazing photography.
