Devastation
No one knew how or where the end of the world started.DEVASTATION picks up five days after the fall of humanity.
Scared and confused, Ethan and the others are running on empty and nearing their breaking point. Left with no other option, the group must fight their way through the massive winter storm hammering Summer Mill, while also avoiding the undead, now numbering in the thousands.
After an unexpected revelation and the introduction of a new survivor, the group finally attempts to depart their forsaken town and head into the city. However, they very quickly come to realize that no amount of planning can prepare them for the horrors of this new existence.
Nearly a thousand miles away, we meet Thomas Whitlock. Traveling through a wrecked coastal city, he notices something he may later regret. A woman, peering out from the third level of an abandoned parking garage. Should he go out after her or play it safe and keep driving? He knew the answer before he’d even asked himself the question; today was not going to be a good day.

Jeff Olah never disappoints - another great read!
Jeff Olah continues to amaze me. Each new book is Better than the last; and "Devastation" did not let me down.
Although "The Last Outbreak" series can be read alone, I like how it takes place in the same world as "The Dead Years." There were connections throughout "Devastation" and the first book. It's like getting to see what caused the apocalypse from a different angle. We might even get a few new answers. If you get a chance, I would suggest reading "The Dead Years" series next. It's well worth it!
Great read for anyone who enjoys this genre. I obviously wouldn't let my young child read this book, but I'd have no problem with my teenager reading it. There is little if any swearing; and since they are always running from zombies and bad guys, there's no time for sex either. There was a mention of rape during a threat, but no such incident actu occurred.
It was just an all over great book full of action, zombies, and bad guys. Awesome read!!! 5 out of 5 stars!

Devastation - an Apt Title!
Anyone who has read my Olah reviews knows I'm incredibly fond of his post-apoc novel series. This is Book Two of the Last Outbreak series. You can read this series before or after The Dead Years... But I think, personally, I enjoy reading this one after Dead Years. They all the together though, with characters crossing over into other story lines. Fabulously crafted, I'm on to Book Three! Enjoy!!

Chalk up another winner for Mr. Olah. Ethan is an ass, Griffin is also an ass, but they team up to make a rather formidable duo. More thrill a minute paragraphs make this series a must read.

Oh I like this story!
This is really a great read. It's so easy to become fully involved with the characters in it. So glad I already bought the the next one so I can start it right away.

The last outbreak
I love reading books of the apocalypse . And this was a ones that keep me so in to it so much going on lot of action . Family try to find family . There's good people out there that helps and a lot of bad and lots of action . And that is what keeps me in to it love it really to go for book 3.

Wow! Grabs you and won't let go. Different take on a Zombie tale. Can hardly wait for the next installment.
For any reader who likes zombie tales. Interesting characters and now we are meeting the real bad guys. And there is someone to blame.

Loved it
I enjoyed the read. Ok, the book seems a bit overly dramatic somewhat but it still held my attention. I want to know what the future holds for these characters.

This is a Hell of a good series, almost as good as the walking dead. The first book was good as well.
