Mussar yoga is a blend between the practice of Jewish ideologies expressed in ancient yogic tradition. Traits like humility, equanimity and loving-kindness are meant to show you who you are and who you are meant to be.

The practice of Mussar combined with yoga is appealing self-enhancement but lacks the deeper spiritual connection with community and the Maker of the Universe.

While I do not practice yoga, I found this book to be quite informative. It provided a nice overview of Mussar traits.

This synergy between Mussar practice and yoga is a profound wholeness of mind body and spirit. I go to this book regularly for grounding in disciplines that i value. Its an approachable book but also most powerful if you have existing practice.
