This book, required reading for the DSP course, is a call for people to pray for the pastor and family and to form a hedge of prayer (a group of people) to protect the pastoral family with specific prayer through the extreme challenges of ministry. It addresses things that pastors have in common, including need for support, "especially in the form of consistent, intentional prayer," and the challenges they face. It gives reasons for the urgency with many examples of the lives of pastors and scriptures to support this call to pray. I have been convicted and challenged
