Immortal Man: The Greatest Lectures by the Visionary Mystic

Rate this book
Immortal Man collects lectures from the last years of Neville's life representing the teacher in his full maturity. Available for the first time in audio, this extraordinary selection of lessons gives you a radical new understanding of your own possibilities. Neville takes you into the realm of pure consciousness, where self and Self are one and reality is created through the dynamic of your awakened imagination. As Neville taught with extraordinary originality, what you see as "natural" in your imagination is actualized in the world. This creative process proves that all the world's a stage and that, as Neville wrote, you are not the mask you are wearing; you are God.

This is not a book for everyone because of its biblical content which somewhat obscures the message for those who do not know their bible.

I was put off at first but after having read about half the book I began to really appreciate it. The essence of Neville's message shines through despite the obscurity of his frequent references to David and the Son of God.

Neville describes in several of the lectures his amazing spiritual experiences, where as I understand it he relives the crucifixion of Christ, among other things. He recounts also his experience of leaving his sleeping body and reemerging elsewhere in a PHYSICAL body!

If you love Neville and his teachings you will love this book too, otherwise you may find it a little off-putting, tedious or obscure.

This book is...strange. Goddard has a very interesting view of reality and the Bible. There’s a heavy theme of the Law of Attraction, which I’m pretty neutral on. There’s plenty of good and bad about that theory.
Overall, my encouragement to prospective readers is to simply not throw out the baby with the bath water. There’s a lot of bath water in this book, but the baby is little nuggets of existential and transformative wisdom. It definitely brings the reader into deeper perspective about what it means to be ‘temples of the living God’.

Honestly could have been summed up in 5 pages. Law of attraction. Relies too heavily on personal anecdotes as opposed to theological , philosophical or scientific supporting arguments.

Anything that you read of Nevilles, will be beneficial. Many will consider him a false profit. But, his message is one that brings clarity to your mind, offering a purpose for life, and he offers you the opportunity to “ test his message” for yourself, not taking his word for truth. By testing for yourself, you get personal verification that none can take from you.

This book is one of many. I have read ALL that I can find of his. I know his message and, out of all the messages that exist on this planet left by those before us, his message will be one that will change your life”if” you can receive it.

I could go on, but... listen to ALL that he has written if you have realized that the traditional God that man teaches falls short of the real I AM.

I tried, really hard, to read more than a few pages of this pile of religious mumbo-jumbo at the behest of a friend, but couldn't stomach it. See for yourself:

"You are walking with God morning, noon, and night. You bring him to bed with you because your essential being is God and there is no other God. Were he not in you, you couldn't even breathe, for your breath is God. Every child born of woman is God incarnate."

This isn't just meaningless, it's atrociously so. 🤮

Anyone who lumps Neville with law of attraction is clearly clueless. This is assumption…a very palpable difference. So many complaints about his use of the Bible. If you know his ideology, then you know he says it’s an allegory. He is pure genius.

I love Neville. His book "Power of Awareness" is one of the best books I've ever read. I'll read anything and everything I can by him. 4 stars for this book, which took me a long time to get through (as his books often do). This is a collection of lectures in book form. Some of them are truly amazing, the entire book is certainly a worthwhile read. Some I found hard to get through. The middle of the book got a little "bogged down" for me, thus the 4 star rating. There are several chapters that are absolutely incredible and well worth the price of admission, though :) - It can take me a while to get through his books because I often have to stop and reflect on what I've read.
