About the author

My love for storytelling began when I created my first fictional characters in kindergarten, convincing my family and friends that Red Henry and Green Henry were identical twin brothers in my school. They were mischievous, rarely did their homework, and even had girlfriends! Years later, I started to write, completing my first manuscript in middle school. I confess the heroine was a cross between a contemporary Laura Ingalls Wilder and Nancy Drew, who’d been dating one of the Hardy Boys, but when I wrote “the end” I’d known I had more stories to tell. Of course, life intervened, but whether I was in high school, working as a Veterinary Technician, earning a degree in history and secondary education, or teaching, I was always writing and reading romances.

Finally, I met and married my hero and moved to New England. Shortly after, I joined RWA and the New England Chapter and have been writing faithfully ever since. Get ready for some hot short reads that will get your pulses racing! Some I liked more than others but overall a great selection of authors coming together to show us what they’ve got.

Paradise Found by Frances Stockton

If you had the chance to enter a competition to live on a secluded island for a month with your perfect mystery man would you?

Cara first noticed Ian on the plane. She could see they were heading in the same direction but had no clue he was whom she would spending a month with on Paradise Cay. As soon as he comes up behind her though while she is waiting to get in the car you can feel the heat coming off him. They start off with a great back and forth banter, showing how well they click. Almost liked they were matched!

The task is to stay on the island for a month and if they do then they win some prize money to help fulfil their dreams. Along the way they might be finding new ones. Hot and heavy right from the moment they land on the island – well the sexual tension had been building on the journey itself. Once at a waterfall though it seems that the otherworldness of it all has made them act freer. At that moment all Cara is glad about is that Ian is a doctor and as he puts it ‘is always prepared’. Letting loose and having fun while just the two of them is fun but what happens when they get back to the mainland and their lives. Can they bring the feel of the island back with them?

Sex Wax by Tamara McHatton

Didn’t have a clue what tandem surfing was to begin with but after a Google search I have to say I’m impressed. Not that you would get me on a board, I’d totally fall in! The men have to have good balance and be beyond strong; the women have to be a bit bendy.

So Brooklyn and Swede seem like a great match. What starts out as a simple bit of flirting at the bar where she works soon turns into more when she gets taken into the fold with all the other tandem surfers. Brooklyn has never had that big a group of friends before so she is loving the dynamics of it all. It also helps that Swede is one fine specimen of a man who makes her go weak at the knees. He can’t wait to get his hands on her out in the ocean, on the board and off it. Loved how clueless he was with some of the things he told her though. Not getting how she would wonder what the hell ‘nuts to butts’ truly was. Other times you can tell he knows full well what he is saying, almost like word foreplay.

At first she just thought she would just be having some fun trying out some tandem surfing moves while Swede got ready for the tournament. Now she finds herself being his new partner as his other one got hurt. They are going to be spending a lot of time together over the next few days and hands are going to be everywhere. Chemistry is certainty buzzing between them and when they finally let go it’s hot. Will this just be a fun time weekend fling or turn into something more? With how well they click you hope for the latter.

Alice’s Sheikh by Suz deMello

Alice has grown up with a very screwed view on relationships, especially thoughts involving passion, from what happened to her parents. They lived and died with passion and chaos to the extreme. Something Alice has refrained from doing. At the hearing for their joint will it states that her parents estates will split between the three children but that they each have to do a years worth of selflessness. She has chosen to become an English teacher for Barr Aghiba Island. It’s only for a year so what could possibly go wrong?

Her journey doesn’t get off to a great start though as the airport she has landed in comes under siege and she has to be rescued. Just so happens that her rescuer is her new boss ‘Hot Harry’, she can now see why he has that nickname. In just a jump suit and taking charge of the situation he creates a reaction in her that she has tried to push away for too long. He is just as drawn to her as she to him, even if he tries to hide it at first, but it is not until a midnight swim that things really start to heat up. Passions are high but its clear Alice isn’t looking for just fun. She has created a challenge for Harry and he is more than ready to step up. She has waited this long without passion how much longer can she go?

Something they held back from in their heyday while in the band. To begin with you start to view Alan in a certain light. Leaving those he loves behind and seeming not to care other than on this one night every year. A twist comes halfway through though that throws new light on the situation. A past love of theirs – Trina – comes into the picture and events lead to true emotions coming out to the surface. Only once they let go and admit what they have always been might they get what they have always wanted.

Emily’s night has an interesting twist to it. Just before closing up at the dinner one freaked out man comes in claiming to have been abducted by aliens – probes where involved! With her feeling a bit sorry for him she gives him some food and an ear to talk to before sending him on his way. Meeting him has reminded her that she has always thought how exciting it would be to go to outer space and explore different planets. Feeling like she needs something to change in her life on a whim she calls to the sky to wish on a bright star. Calling to Kalgron – the alien who abducted the guy from the dinner – to take her away. Little did she know that he was listening and more than ready to take her.

Kalgron is on a scouting mission to find a new planet for his people, so has been circling Earth for a short while examining its inhabitants to see if they would except them. When he gets a call from an earthbound beauty there’s no chance he is not going to answer her call.

Get ready for some probing, though for Emily it only means pleasure. His voice alone gets her going while being in the dark. Passion overflows logic and she doesn’t question anything. A little while later though and the same can’t be said. To say she is annoyed would be an understatement and she needs him to know it. All he wants to do is keep her but to do that she needs to know what she is staying with. Will his appearance scare her away or will her curiosity make her stay. Well that and the fact he has given her the best orgasm of her life from the power of his voice alone. If his voice does that she can only hope what his body can do.

Zayna finds herself bound by an agreement she wishes she could change. It was fine when she saw her marriage to Thanos as one simply of convenience but in just a few short months she has started to fall for him. She fears that if she gives herself over too freely then he will grow board and not return to her.

Thanos made it clear from the get go that he would not be faithful so just wanted a marriage of convenience. Thought it was funny how when she then asked about her being faithful he almost had a fit. Seems its one rule for one and one rule for another. It was her idea to create a contract agreement to keep things fair for both of them so one wouldn’t have the upper hand. It’s only on her wedding night though that she realises she holds more power than she thought. She has always stayed quite when pleasuring herself before so stayed silent throughout. This seems to make him very unsure as to whether she enjoyed herself or not. She now knows that he is a proud man and will keep coming back to her to see just to see if he can get a reaction out of her.

In the months past Thanos has gotten more frustrated with his wife not showing an reactions in bed (so is she mind you, its getting more difficult to stay quite when all she wants to do is scream in pleasure). Thanos soon turns the tables though by making a last ditch effort to get his wife to open up vocally. You can see it would be a turning point for him also. He now only desires his wife, not others, and will do everything he can think of to keep her in throws of passion.

One Kinky Weekend by Berengaria Brown

When your passion gets a bit stale there are always ways to spice things up. For Zara it’s to ask her husband if they can have a fourway. His reaction to this suggestion sets the tone for what happens throughout – it’s a bit yes.

Not much in the way of back-story with this one but just straight into some fourway fun. Could almost say it was like reading porn in some places with some of the things they get up to. They clearly have nothing that is off limits and are more than willing to make this more than a one-time thing. Arms, legs, bodies everywhere but at least they all get their rocks off.

Side note – There is a name swap in the middle when Zara gets changed to Zoe.

Hot Buns by Marianne Stephens

I liked that you got a bit of a back-story leading to present day, and hopefully a future, with this one. You know straightaway that there is a lot of tension between Vinnie and Angela when they meet again. You then find out they were engaged so you just know there is a story behind that. Turns out its about a recipe at its core. Baking tore them apart so lets hope it can bring them back together.

Angela is in a bit of a bind as her new ovens aren’t being delivered for a week and she has orders to fill. When she finds out that Vinnie and his family could do with some extra money she sees it as her opportunity to help out and maybe fix what happened between them by offering to pay to use his kitchen at night for a week. Things certainly start to heat up in the kitchen; her penis shaped cookies only seem to be stoking the fire that’s waiting for a spark. Not long before that spark ignites. They know they need to talk about the past but want to live in the moment too. Neither realised how much they missed the other until they are touching distance apart. Lets hope its sweeter the second time round and lasts.

Weapon of Choice by Katherine Kingston

Nothing better than a historical romance with a bit of witches’ magic thrown into the mix. Selvya’s a bit of a fire starter but after her last battle she needs some help creating a spark. Luckily Jorden is close at hand. The two of them together soon start creating a lot of heat.

Selvya has the gift of fire but sees it more as a curse after what she was forced to do. Used as a weapon she was tricked into thinking if she didn’t her family would be harmed. After the battle on her way home she finds out the truth but ends up getting caught by the other side. After weeks in the dungeon she gets called up and an offer is made. If she agrees to help the side of the King she will get her freedom. From the moment she meets Jorden she is drawn to him and one touch is all it takes for sparks to fly – even if she looked a bit grimy at the time.

In the days that follow she has trouble trying to bring forth the flame. It’s only after Jorden puts his hands on her shoulders to get her to relax that it comes to life. He seems to be her key to unlocking her potential and he is more than willing to stay close. A battle is on the horizon, one both of them hopes to win, but what will fate have in store for them. Here’s hoping it’s a historical happy ending.

The MageWynd’s Cauldron by Charlotte Boyett-Compo

Finn is hot, I mean literally burning up hot. His aircon is broken and because he is on house arrest he can’t leave his room on the ship. A cold shower and walking around naked doesn’t seem to be helping so he collapses on the floor while waiting for the maintenance man to come. Not bothering to cover up, for lack of energy, all he’s thinking is that he has nothing this guy won’t have seem before. Well that was all he was thinking about until Maze, the female maintenance person, walks in shocking him to cover his junk before she gets an eye-full – not that he was quick enough, well she certainty didn’t mind. With being a MageWynd you would have thought he would have seen her coming, I guess he should have looked in his cauldron sooner.

Maze is bold, beyond sassy and knows what she wants so goes for it. Her flirtatious side comes out full force with teasing Finn in his current situation. Manages to turn round at just the right moment to see what those hands were covering better. She is there to do a job though so starts to see what the problem is. As it’s far too hot and she doesn’t fell like melting she takes off her jumpsuit, I thought Finn’s eye were going to pop out. Too bad for him that she had a swimsuit on underneath, well this time she does. When asking for his help while she’s up a ladder she passes him some screws and ends up getting on hell of a shock, and its not from the power its from him. Sparks for them mean a life mate whether they want one or not. It might be hot in there now but soon they take it to another level.

After Finn kicks her out due to him not handling the situation well she leaves him to suffer in the heat longer. When she finally returns to really fix the problem she does the same as she did before, takes her jumpsuit off due to the heat. Only this time she’s not wearing a swimsuit underneath. There’s only so much Finn can take until he gives in and gives them what they both want. The cauldron in his room might make them pause for thought as it shows them something they might not be ready for. But as Finn says the cauldron never lies.

Fun banter back and forth between them and when Finn really wanted to play he gave as well as he got. He might be able to see into the future but he didn’t see Maze coming, not that he is complaining one bit after he gets his taste.

Paradise Found by Frances Stockton - We find ourselves in June on the island of Grand Cayman for this first story. Who is Cara Summers and what is she doing here? Who is Ian Hamilton? What is Paradise Cay? Who is Mr. McFadden? What does he have to do with all of this? This story made me think about the Bachelor and Bachelorette TV shows. It's not a take on them, but in a way it is. It was romantic and HAWT at the same time. I look forward to reading more stories from this author.

Sex Wax by Tamara McHatton - Who is Brooklyn and where does she work? Who is Swede and what does he catch her doing as he walks into her place of work? Why is he there? What does he do for a day job? What is his second job which is how Brooklyn meets Swede? This was a fun and interesting story taking place on the shore of Florida. Enjoy the read. Just know I will never look at the term sex wax again the same.

Alice's Sheikh by Suz deMello - Alice's well known parents are found dead, with needles in their arms in Trevi Fountain. When the children meet with the Estate Attorney, they find out a caveat to their inheritance. We follow Alice in this story, her brother taking the title handed down by their father. There is another sibling. They have to 'do' something for someone else to get their inheritance. What does Alice decide to do? What helps her make that decision? When she is at Barr Aghrib, the King's brother brings his girlfriend over from Rak'hat. Not knowing who the girlfriend is, she is surprised to see her friend of 10 years, Noor. When Alice receives word that her order she has placed has come in in Rak'hat, the Sheikh flies her over in the helicopter. While they are there, they stay at the Palace of the Kings of Rak'hat. Noor's father is the current King. When Harry, the Sheikh of Aghrib, takes Alice to another room to talk with her, what happens? By the time they are ready to head back to Aghrib, what is their situation? You are going to have to read and find out. I laughed when I saw what happened. This is however a very passionate filled romance.

Kismet by Alexa Silver - Who is Alan? Why is he in Jon's place of business? Why does Alan say, "Dead man walking." to Jon? Why does Jon reply back with "Dead man playing."? We know they used to play in a band together, but what happened? What is special about this night that Alan comes to Jon's club to visit him? When Trina, Jon's ex-wife walks in, what happens? What is the 'key' that Cass talks about? What is it that has been decided in regards to Alan's life? You're going to have to read this sweet story to find out.

Alien Rights by Nicole Austin - Emily is a waitress in a diner owned by Hank. A person who appears down on his luck walks in, talking about aliens and that he had been taken and probed. Hank goes off on him, giving him a really hard time. What does Emily say to Hank? What does she say and do for the stranger? When she leaves that night, what does she say as she's looking up at the stars, wondering about things? Who are Elon and Kalgron? What happens with Emily that night? Does she ever return home? What happens at her job when she does not show up again? Read and find out.

The Agreement by Francesca Hawley - Whois Zayla? Who is Thalos? What game does Zayla play with her husband and why? Who is Nela and what does she think she has with Thalos? What game does Zayla play with Nela, trying to teach her a lesson for overstepping her standing? What do we find out about Thalos and the way he thinks and what he thinks he knows and realizes? Will they ever talk to one another? What is in the marriage contract that Zayla has drawn up before she marries her husband? I chuckled at how skillfully she handled him and made sure she got her needs met. Watching how they both want one another, and wondering if her husband would be with just her if she made her pleasure of being with him known is something that goes through my mind throughout the various parts of this book. What happens when her husband takes seeds out to a minor holding? What goes through his mind? What does he do for and to her that night? How does that change things with regards to the contract? You need to read this to find out.

One Kinky Weekend by Berengaria Brown - Zara and Logan have been married 20 years. One evening, after sleeping for a bit, Zara wakes up and has a thought. She jabs Logan with her elbow in the ribs until he wakes up. What has she thought about? Knowing that they want to spice up things in the bedroom a bit, what does she suggest? How does Logan seem to feel about this suggestion? What does Logan do in response to Zara's suggestion? Can they make Zara's fantasies happen, not to mention Logan's? You're going to have to read to see what idea they came up with and what happens or doesn't happen.

Naughty Heatwave: Turn up the Heat was a definite hot 5 star read.

The Naughty Literati does not disappoint with this great compilation of reads. You will find BBW, BDSM, Contemporary, Fantasy, Lesbian, M/M/F, Ménage, Paranormal and Sci-Fi.

I have read several box sets from this group and I always enjoyed them. It gives me an opportunity to discover new authors or catch up on ones I’m familiar with.
I of course have some that really stood out to me.

Paradise Found: Cara finds herself on Paradise Cay with Dr. Ian, they have to stay on the island for a month to win the prize money. These two have an instant connection, but will it continue when they get back to reality?

One Kinky Weekend: To spice up their marriage Zara get’s her husband Logan to agree to find a couple to participate in a fourway. And boy do they ever, they find a perfect match with Izzy and Archie. Their weekend turns into creating a “Naughty List” for future weekends. Will we see more from these four in future compilations?

The Agreement: Zayna and Thanos are in a marriage of convenience.In the agreement she signed, it gives him full reign to sleep with other women. Zayna tried to keep her desires for her husband a secret, if he knows that he is pleasing her he will grow bored of her. There is something about Zayna that Thanos is drawn to, he wants to please her. Will he be able to get her to submit to him and finally reveal her true feelings?

I really do enjoy these naughty box sets, they have some surprisingly good tales!

We have a wide range here, some more explicit than others, but that is always the case with these box sets: different authors take their interpretation of the theme and run with their own ideas.

We Have BBW, BDSM, Contemporary, Fantasy, Lesbian, MMF, Menage, Paranormal and Speculative fiction covered in ten short stories.

The longest took me an hour to read, that shortest just 30 minutes. Each story is complete, and has its own happy ever after. There wasn't any single one that stood out, and there was one or two who's author's work I might not follow, but I certainly will others. I think I've only read all of these authors in these box sets.

Short, sweet and sexy. With no one stand out for good OR bad reasons, I rate the whole set an overall....

I've read a several boxsets that naughty Literati has put together ,and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed each and everyone of them. All these authors in this collection has given us some amazing stories. This collection has BDSM,Second Chance Love, Contemporary, Lesbian, M/M/F, Menage, Fantasy, Paranormal, Sci-fi, and Speculative Fiction Romance, and so much more. I think my favorite two was Alien Rights By Nicole Austin and One Kinky Weekend By Berengaria Brown .But I found that this is a great way to fine new authors to read, I know that I will be reading more from these authors. You're fine that you will enjoy the way the Naughty Literati has put this amazing collection together ,because it's Sexy, hot, steamy and some fabulous characters, rolled in some great writing . I could tell you about which book and the author ,but that would spoil this fabulous boxset for you. I highly recommend that you read this amazing collection , because you won't be disappointed.

Another intriguing boxed set with authors to sample and stories to delight. I found Suz deMello reading another boxed set. She has become a favorite short story author for me. You'll find her writing a pleasure as well. Alice's Sheikh is one example of the stories within, and the first in a series of three books. It does stand-alone, however, I am interested in reading more. You will be too.

Alice, daughter of highborn, jet-setting deceased parents, travels to the Sheikdom of “Hot Harry” as the King is known. She is there to teach English, a requirement to redeem her inheritance. Really an innocent, the feelings he instills are anything but innocent.

How will her stay turn out? Can she resist him? Does she want to? The sexual tension is as hot as the desert.

I have been burnt out on books lately and this book is exactly what I needed to bring me out of the funk. Each story was a very different storyline with focus on menage, BBW and even aliens so once I finished one story, it was a breath of fresh air for the next. Some of the stories are okay while I really like others. I'm not typically a fan of short story anthologies so I surprised myself when I really got into this and read every single story. I think my favorite was ONE KINKY WEEKEND by Berengaria Brown just for the fact that it was the most simple of the stories even though there was the whole foursome factor thrown in there. The couples in the story are genuine and seem real but the fantasies being played out by them in their kinky weekend reminded me of some things that I'd like to try. LOL This book is definitely worth one-clicking.

I have read several boxsets that Naughty Literati have put together and I always love them. This one was no different. This boxset has bdsm, second chance love, kinky sex, paranormal, sci-fi, and more. I loved this boxset and my favorite story was One Kinky Weekend followed up by The Agreement. All the authors in this set and great. These boxsets are a great way to find new authors. I look forward to reading more from these authors in the future. Naughty Literati buts together fantastic, steamy, hot boxsets. I highly recommend this boxset and other Naughty Literati boxsets.
