Straight up, I usually avoid Domme books like the plague. They just aren't my thing, but something about this book had me intrigued and I figured I'd give it a chance.

description

Julia is a part time Domme who is submissive to her Police detective husband Garrison. Garrison is bi-sexual and is working closely with Keaton on a serial murder case. Keaton is a lawyer and also bi-sexual and happens to be submissive and one of Julia's clients. So begins a tale of attraction, need, and murder.

I really enjoyed this one. It was SMOKIN hot. The writing was fantastic (I can't believe I've never read anything by this author before) The characters were interesting. I liked both Julia and Garrison. Even though Garrison is the "head Dom" in the situation, he also had a vulnerable side that made me love him all the more. The star for me though was Keaton. Here is a guy, a top lawyer, and a dominant man outside the bedroom, who desperately needs to submit to help him cope with his high pressure job. He wants both Julia and Garrison, but he isn't willing to settle. He doesn't want to be a "side toy" or "pushed in the closet" He doesn't want a fling, he wants a real relationship or nothing.

The relationship aspect between the three in this book was very realistically portrayed. It wasn't all smooth sailing, it was messy and awkward and sometimes painful. This was two people who are already married and madly in love trying to fit a third into their relationship, and that third trying to find a place in an already established loving relationship. Although I thought this aspect was very authentically written, I did feel a little let down by the end. The epilogue is just 4 months into the future and we As a romantic at heart, I wanted more from the ending.

The other aspect of this book is the nice little serial killer plot that is interwoven throughout. It isn't the strongest of plots. I pretty much knew who the killer was going to be from first introduction, but it still offered a little break from the relationship drama and kept me entertained.

Overall I am glad that I gave this one a chance and I would certainly recommend it to anyone who loves a good MMF menage.

For me the serial killer angle made this story worth the read! Garrison is a detective and Keaton is a DA. Professionally, as a team, they are unstoppable! The chemistry between the two, how they feed off each other at crime scenes, and their ability to work without stealing the each other's thunder of course is fodder for personal attraction.

Keaton is alpha male and chose not to be so in the bedroom. He is the perfect partner for Garrison and his wife, Julia, who is a domme.

Two storylines that parallel beautifully. The relationship between Garrison, his wife, and Keaton and the serial killer! Story has a great ending as well!

This story is definitely for adults only. Viewer discretion is advised. The sex scenes are extremely hot as most menages are so.....

Five stars!

Review:
“‘Enjoying the show? Or would you like to join in?’ I teased, rubbing a hand up Garrison’s ripped chest. ‘Want to get spanked or watch me get spanked?’”

5 perfectly flawed stars!! Dirty, Sexy hot!!!

Julia is a married domme, who’s hired to dominate men on the side. Julia’s husband, Garrison is happy with their life together and is fulfilled, and he’s bisexual. When Garrison and Keaton are thrown on a case together they realize they have a mutual attraction for each other. Keaton is a submissive and he’s looking for the right person who can dominate him. And when these three get together and realize they have more in common than they ever realized, fireworks ignite! But when Garrison and Keaton’s job gets in the way, it may threaten everything these three have come to love.

I was on my toes the whole time while reading!! There’s a great twisted story to go along with all the heat that explodes out of the pages!! Keaton and Garrison together are hot, but then you throw in Julia and wow, just wow!! Seriously, I was hooked the minute I started reading and couldn’t put it down until it was over!!

4.5 Star review of Flawed by Rachael Orman
This was a new author to me. Not sure why I haven’t read Ms Orman before but I will certainly be looking into her books. I really enjoyed Flawed which is in the romantic suspense genre and was an extremely hot read.
Julia is a Domme for hire during the summer and the rest of the year she is a teacher. However she is a Domme with a difference: in her own bedroom she submits to her husband Garrison.
Garrison is a detective, who happens to be bi-sexual; he is also attracted to the prosecutor Keaton who is assigned to his most recent serial killer case.
Not only is Keaton bi-sexual, he is also submissive and unknown to each other Julia is his Domme.
The chemistry between all the combinations whether it is Garrison/Keaton/Julia, Garrison Julia/, Garrison/Keaton or Keaton/Julia is sizzling.
When the truth comes out and they all find out that they are linked, it sets the scene for an awesome story line.
But can two become three without jealously or feelings being hurt?
When the serial killer targets Julia will they be able to work together to save Julia?
Will the outstanding sex lead to a committed relationship? You will need to one click this book to find out.

This book isn't the type of genre I normally read and I have to say I enjoyed the story very much. We have Julia who married to Garrison and they are both doms in the bedroom. Julia submits to her husband and to get her domme satisfaction she meets different submissive's on the side at the local hotel. Enter Keaton who has a crush on Garrison and is one of Julia's clients!! Yup, Who saw that coming?? So everything comes out light and they all hook up. I wasn't sure how this dynamic was going to be with the 3 of them and they did have issues that any couple would have plus the addition of another. It was nice to see those struggles and that everything wasn't just happy go lucky! We also have a mad man killing dommes and I called the killer from the very beginning. I did enjoy the story but felt that the sex kinda overshadow some of the story and wish we could have more time on the crime. Overall, I did enjoy this book and if you are a fan of BDSM and mystery this book is for you!

This was good. There was no lag in the story. Julia knows what she likes and is careful about it. Garrison loves his wife. Keaton is a prosecutor for the state....a counselor if you will. I enjoyed his post in this story. Not a bad read. Of course you knew where this was going and I knew what was going to happen before it happened...what's new??

Great chemisty

Julia and Keaton are wonderful together and they love each other very much. Both are attracted to Keaton and have known him for a while but it seems that they haven't all been together before, which seems very unlikely situation. Even so, it was an interesting meeting between the three and it sparked an amazingly sexy beginning. If you are into poly relationships, then this is a great story with just enough drama and suspense to make it more than erotica. The serial killer twist was interesting and although I kept thinking I knew who the killer was, I couldn't be sure until the reveal. I would have liked to see how the three dealt with other people's reactions to their relationship, but I loved their chemistry.

Love in the Midst of Danger

A great story of a Dominant man and his wife who is a career Domme Switch, who complete their circle with another submissive man. A bit of intrigue, mystery and adventure lend well to this BDSM Menage Erotica story. Exciting and super hot. Highly recommended for the not so faint of heart.

Hot damn, she did it again!!!
I'm a huge fan of this author, I make no secret of that so I was so excited to get the opportunity to read it early.
Each character is likeable. Hell, Garrison and Keaton are both hot as hell and Julia, well, what can I say? She's one very lucky woman.
Julia is a school teacher and a Domme during the holidays to bring in extra money given her husband Garrison's income as a detective doesn't bring in enough for them to survive alone. Reading what her clients want and need from her is something else. Rachael's writing is so fluent and if she needed to research this topic a lot, you would never guess it from the way she writes about it. It is believable and reads like this author knows what she's talking about.
Julia's husband knows what she does and makes sure she's safe at all times. Now he is drool worthy and although he's married to Julia, he is bisexual too.
He has to work with Keaton at times who is a lawyer, a hot as hell lawyer who rarely loses a case. Although the classic dynamo in the courtroom, his problem is he needs to be submissive and to feel pain in the bedroom to get any sort of sexual gratification. It's the only way he can clear his head enough from the stress and pressures of his job and pain is that release for him.
He loves what his Domme does for him and he's also attracted to Garrison who he deals with as they investigate the serial killings that seem to be targeting Dommes. When he finds out that Garrison wants him too, and then other revelations are made, it can only go one way and that's down the road of some of the hottest sex scenes you're likely to read. This author knows how to write hot and sexy scenes that will have you fanning yourself. If you like the BDSM theme, then you'll love this book.
I thoroughly enjoyed it all and the build up as we find out more and more about the serial killer and the concern that Julia might have this person as one of her clients. The tension builds, the drama, and it all comes to one nail biting conclusion. I loved the story, the characters, the build up of tension and wondering who the killer was and if Julia was in danger. I loved the sex, but the relationship between the various characters was brilliant too.
Overall, Flawed sucked me right in and I felt the usual sense of loss when I finished as I always do when a Rachael Orman book ends.

I was given this book for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.

I love Orman books. This one did not disappoint. The characters are well developed and the story flows easily.

Julia, Garrison and Keaton are all living their lives - doing what they love and trying to figure out how to be happy.

I love that Julia is both Domme and sub. I think that it gives her a unique experience and with her skills, she is able to fulfill many desires. I also really like that she keeps her client's secret, even from Garrison. I think that it makes her situation throughout the story much more real. When she is faced with a situation, she handles herself with grace and strength.

Then you have Garrison, who is working hard to figure out who is hurting Domme's in his town. Not only does he not really have a clue who is doing this, but he has to figure out his feelings for DA Keaton. While he loves his wife, he also knows that he enjoys being with men too. Julia knows and accepts this about him, so he just needs to figure out if Keaton should be with them as a couple, him alone or not at all.

Finally, you have Keaton. I loved his character. He was strong, brave and unafraid of what he desires. He knows that his lifestyle could put him in the hot seat, so he's thankful that he found someone who will keep his secret. When he figures out how everything is connected, he has to make the decision to leap and hope that nothing bad will happen.

The three of them have OK chemistry, but I do wish that we would have seen them more on a one and one basis. I felt like we heard all about their relationship, but didn't really get to see it develop.

Overall, I really enjoyed this story. It had great chemistry and the mystery was intriguing.

The depth of this book surprised me. I was expecting a lot of sex with very little story line (no offense to the writer, but that's been my experience with these types of books) but instead I was very pleasantly surprised. Sure there was lots of sex, but there was also a great story line!

Julia is a Domme for hire, a first grade teacher and a submissive to her bisexual husband. She does not have sexual relationships with the men who hire her as a Domme, instead she simply provides them with what they need. In turn they provide her with the opportunity to be dominant which is something her husband cannot provide her with. They're marriage is strong and they are completely in love with one another.

Julia's husband Garrison is a detective with the local police department. He is friends with Keaton who is the district attorney that works with his department.

In an unexpected twist, it turns out Keaton is a client of Julia's but is not aware that Julia is Garrison's wife. Garrison and Keaton end up working very closely with one another when a serial killer starts targeting women in their jurisdiction.

While the serial killer plot was weak (I knew who it was almost immediately), the emotional angst between Julia, Garrison and Keaton was very strong and very realistic. The author didn't write the story as if once everyone met things were perfect. There were arguments, jealousy and turmoil within the new relationship.

My only critique other than the weak serial killer plot was the epilogue. It only went 4 months into the future and gave us a very weak view of where the three were. I would have preferred to see things a year from now or at least a declaration of their feelings.

I’m a huge fan of Rachael’s work. So I’m not surprised this book is just as fabulous as her other work. I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. The Dom/Sub, Domme/Sub genre is one of my favorites to read. But, then again, I have so many genres I enjoy it’s hard to pick a favorite.
The relationship Julia and Garrison share is amazing. I love that Julia is a switch. This just makes her character seem more real to me. Garrison knows Julia is a Domme, and has no problem with her exploring this side of herself with other men. Julia knows Garrison is bisexual and they have had a few 3-way relationships with other men in the past.
Keaton is a fierce District Attorney. He almost never loses a case. He thrives on his control as he dominates in the courtroom. But, he long ago realized he can’t have total control in every aspect of his life. Keaton has accepted his need to submit in the bedroom. Julia gives him the submission he needs in the bedroom to escape the control his mind has over him.
Garrison and Keaton have worked together on cases in the past. Garrison has always noticed Keaton. The two men have always kept their distance, never forming a friendship outside of work. Until the newest case of dead women comes across their desks. While trying to solve the case an amazing friendship begins between them.
As the trio their new relationship, Julia comes face to face with the person responsible for killing other Dommes in the city. Just when she thinks she may not survive, both her men show up to save her and catch the bad guy.
Now that “the incident” is over, the three of them are getting closer and the relationship is getting stronger.

I received an ARC of this book from Inked Rainbow Reads in return for an honest review.
So many things to like in this book. The sex scenes were hot. H. O. T. The kink was good, integrated within the story, integral to the plot, but not overwhelming. The emotions of all three characters made the relationship between them all. No, they don't expect everything to be roses all the time. They expect problems and issues, but they all have a desire to work through them. A realistic viewpoint. The serial killer case upped the tension and anticipation, knowing that something was going to happen. I would say, though, that it was difficult swinging between the two extremes of the plot. The romance/erotica/relationship story had such a different feel from the police procedural/murder mystery/cop thriller, and sometimes the transition between the two was difficult to traverse. Both storylines were good, both kept my attention, but they evoked very different reactions, and I'm not sure those went together as well. Also, there was a lot of foreshadowing, enough that I felt confident in who the perp was, and how things would come to a head. That didn't lessen my enjoyment at all. I liked the emphasis on the feelings of Julia, Garrison, and Keaton, and how they all worked through honest communication to get to a place where everybody was happy with the relationship. All in all, this was a very enjoyable read.

**I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.**

Julia has the best of both worlds. She is a Mistress for hire. She gives men what they need by submitting to her and she gets her fill of being Dominate, but at home she is the one to submit. Garrison, Julia's husband, is the Dominate in their relationship. Garrison is a police detective. His personal life has never intermixed with his professional life until Keaton. The sexy lawyer Garrison has had his eye on for sometime.

Julia never sleeps with her clients or even crosses the line in an emotional way but after one particular session with a client, that line is crossed. She feels bad about what had happened and ask Garrison to attend this client's next session to make sure nothing happens that shouldn't. Imagine Garrison's surprise when the man on his knees is none other than the one making Garrison weak in his knees.

I loved the pace of this book. It moved along without any lull in the plot. I liked that neither Julia or Garrison were the overly dominate type. It definitely is a sexy menage with scenes catching fire on the page. Flawed is a quick read, perfect for a steamy evening read!

Julia and Garrison are a happily married couple. Julia is a professional Domme, and her husband is a cop—and Dom. They are perfectly content with their off the charts love life, until a sub gets both their attention.

Keaton’s a lawyer, and he and Garrison have crossed paths professionally. There is an underlying attraction between the two, but Garrison thinks there could possibly be more than just their attraction to one another. This ménage is quite different from what I’ve read before. I loved the Dom/sub/Domme dynamic. Julia and Garrison are quite secure in their love for one another, so the occasional playmate invited into their bedroom isn’t a big deal. They invite Keaton to join them for some fun, but will that be enough for them?

Add a serial murder that Garrison and Keaton are trying to capture, and this is a well-rounded story. The suspense was good, the scorching heat between Julia, Garrison, and Keaton will melt your panties and/or boxer briefs! Told from three points of view, I loved getting to each person’s head and seeing the story from different angles. Rachael does a wonderful job of capturing three distinctly different personalities with such similar wants and needs.

I really enjoyed this story and give it 5 stars.

Oh my Holy Hotness
I've read a lot from Rachael Orman, so I know what to expect, but this is over the top hot. Her characters are so engaging and their dynamic together is so engrossing, it made me want to BE Julia! Please, oh Please can I???
I grew up on Harlequin Historical Romances, then I moved murder mysters, then I found the smut and FLAWED brings two of my favorite genres together. Not only is this smoking hot M/F/M and M/M/F but there's also a serial killer on the loose...and he's after Dommes for hire! Yeah, you mostly always know what's gonna happen, and I even had the killer pegged, but it was just so entertaining that you didn't care that you weren't thrown for a loop.
So, we have engaging...check
We have hot as hell...check
Great characters that you enjoy...check
and a little suspense....check
Perfect combination to spend a couple of hours enjoying!
While this isn't a long novel, it also read longer that a shortie novella..so I'd say somewhere in between.
Aside from the lack of contractions (Yes, this really bothers me when I read a book that doesn't have contractions) it was a great read.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

Reading this book on a packed commuter train on the way in to work was a mistake because I arrived at the office all hot and bothered. Flawed is off the charts hot and steamy. The erotic scenes and relationship between Garrison, Julia and Keaton pushed all my buttons. I wanted to be Julia.

This story is told from the point of view of each of our three lead characters and it works really well especially when it comes to Garrison and Keaton working to track down a serial killer. The crime story is fairly straight forward with no surprises but I really enjoyed seeing it play out.

While it is not relevant to the story I have to mention how absolutely stunning the cover of this book is. I could look at it all day. I loved reading Flawed. This will definitely be a book that is added to by re-read list.

I received this book as an ARC for my honest opinion. A must read!
Never been a fan of female domme, or male to male but Rachel you've made me fan. This story is amazing to say the least. I enjoy that Julia, Garrison and Keaton the chemistry they shared. Julia is a Domme but a submissive at the same time. Learning about how her two personalities where and how she managed both was very intriguing to me. Garrison a detective and a Dom, he controlled any room with his presence. Keaton a pit bull lawyer. He was good at what he did but was a submissive in the bedroom. All strong will character but their personality worked really together. They way it was written everything flowed and it was hard to put down. Trying to figure out who the serial killer was suspenseful. I kept trying to figure out who it was. So they are many sex scenes but it's more of the perusal of this serial killer that feels inferior to female domme.

Can't wait for another book! I always enjoy your books.

Rachael Orman once again delivers a mighty fine book. One that will keep you mesmerized til the very end. FLAWED is a terrific erotic thriller which takes the reader inside the marriage of a seemingly "normal" couple. Garrison is a detective and Julia a teacher. During her teaching breaks, she however works as a domme. This second job normally doesn't interfere in her marriage to Garrison, but when a serial killer starts murdering dommes, Garrison fears his wife may be next. Add in Keaton who is one of Julia's clients who also works with Garrison and an intriguing love triangle begins. Oh did I forget to mention that Garrison and Keaton are also bi and like one another? What could turn out to be a messy situation is surprisingly a sweet alternative love story. Rachael Orman writes with passion and her characters are very well developed.

I absolutely loved Flawed! And, that it was a romantic suspense just made this book! Rachael Orman I just love reading your books and you are quickly becoming one of my go to authors because I know I will just love the story!

Julia and Garrison are married. Julia is a Domme but, not with Garrison. She is submissive in the bedroom with her husband. Garrison is bisexual but, has never mixed up his married life until Keaton. Oh and when you mix in a little suspense then this makes for a very good book. I can’t say more because I don’t want to give any of this story away. But, if you like this type of book then you need to read Flawed and Oh and let me tell you Flawed was Hawt!

I was floored by Flawed!! I absolutely loved it!! I was drawn into the characters and the storyline.
It was HOT!! It was different and had me hooked from beginning to end.
Garrison and Julia have a rather different marriage. They are searching for something else to make their marriage whole. Julia being a part time Domme, doles out pain to her clients but when she is with Garrison the roles are reversed. Their relationship gets rather interesting when they bring Keaton into their fold. Oh my….there are some incredibly heated scenes in this book…..WOW!!!
I enjoyed the connections between the characters as well as the suspenseful part where Garrison and his colleagues are on the search for a serial killer.
I thought this book had a unique storyline and I really loved how it ended.

Flawed is a sizzling hot read about three people who find love when they weren't expecting it. I loved that Julia was a Domme who only submitted to her husband Garrison. She is strong and sassy and so very in love with her husband. Garrison is a detective investigating a serial killer who turns out to be after his wife. In the process of the investigation he works closely with Keaton who is the DA on the case. There is some serious chemistry between them and when it turns out that Keaton is one of Julia's clients it changes everything between them. I loved that although Keaton was so into Julia and Garrison, he wouldn't accept anything less than a real relationship. These three are scorching hot and I loved their story.

I give Flawed 4 hearts!

Well Rachael Orman has done it again, I absolutely loved this book FLAWED. The dynamic between the three main characters was astounding . Full of sexy scenes MF,MMF and MM, and my favourite subject of Dom/switch/sub.
I don't normally read Domme literature ,but because this was a mixture of everything , I found it really enjoyable to read.
FLAWED is a real page turner, full of sexiness, sassiness, wit, laughter and a little bit of sorrow all this and there's a damn murderer on the loose.
FLAWED will keep you enthralled till the last page, and is definitely worth a read.

Julia is a domme for hire but a submissive for her husband. Garrison his happy being married to Julia but as he is bisexual and now that he knows Keaton is interested in him his desire for him grows. Can the couple happily include a third? A serial killer is going after dommes, is Julia safe? Fast paced read with lots of suspense. The sex is hot and the chemistry is great I loved it!

Flawed by Rachael Orman

My Rating: 4½/5 stars
My Review:

Julia and Garrison have a quite wonderful if unconventional marriage. Julia earns a living as both a school teacher and a domme. Clearly, one job knows nothing about the other  For Garrison’s part, he works as a detective which offers Julia a measure of comfort should she ever have an issue with one of her clients. Thankfully, Julia is quite good at her job so she rarely has a problem keeping her clients in line.

While it might seem like a most unusual arrangement, Julia and Garrison have made not just a success of their marriage but one filled with love, tenderness, caring, and some delightfully naughty sexual encounters. In her professional life, Julia is the dominant partner but in her private life, Garrison takes control. As if things weren’t spicy enough, from time to time, Julia and Garrison invite a third party into their bed and it’s always a man which appeals to Garrison’s bisexual nature. Until Keaton, Julia and Garrison have never considered asking a third party to become a more permanent fixture in their lives, but then, no one else has been quite like Keaton.

Keaton is a seriously badass lawyer with a reputation for being a shark in the courtroom. He often works with Garrison on cases and of late, the two have become quite worried over an unsolved string of murders. In his private life, Keaton is far less dominant which is precisely how he met Julia. Though it takes a bit of time - and at least one seriously uncomfortable moment - for everyone to figure out they all know each other and are completely attracted to one another. While it may seem like Flawed is nothing more than three hot people coming together and having some fantastic sex, recall I mentioned a string of unsolved murders. What I failed to mention is just how close to home those murders are going to get.

As Garrison and Keaton work diligently toward a break in the case, any break, Julia is working toward thinning out her client list in preparation for the upcoming school year. Trouble is, Julia’s clients tend to get attached to her and one becomes particularly attached, Julia is in real trouble. In fact, at just about the same time as Julia is finding out what a terrible situation she is in, Keaton and Garrison are on the way to help her. The situation goes far beyond serious to life threatening which only serves to strengthen the bond between Julia and her men.

The Bottom Line: I sort of expected Flawed to be a well-written down and dirty read about three pretty people coming together. What I got was a well-written down and dirty read that had a dark and twisted side as an added bonus. The darkness only added to the intensity of the read and the naughty bits, between anyone and everyone were quite fine. At the end of the day, Orman put together a read that has a little bit of everything.
