Waits can be exciting, a little scary, moderately annoying, or painfully unbearable. We can all probably relate to a wait, whether now or in the past, that has been all-consuming, that takes our thoughts hostage and doesn’t allow us to think of anything else. Our prayer for this devotional is that we would be reminded of this important God can use seasons of waiting for our growth and His glory.” In the Wait is a six–week study diving into the topic of what it means to wait on the Lord. It offers real stories of hope, biblical application, and action steps to make life happen even in the midst of waiting. This is a well written and well thought out bible study for any season of waiting you might find yourself in. This is one I will repeat often. So much truth and so many great examples and references that are relatable to real life. For two years my husband and I have been trying to have a baby and each month my question is why. Why is it taking so long? Why is God making us wait? This study is just what I needed to understand what this waiting period is and how I can find gratitude and learn to just be still. His promises are true even when we don't see it or understand it. This study has been such a blessing to me.

Loved this study so much!! Definitely would recommend to anyone really. It is obviously more geared towards women but could definitely apply to men as well, we all are waiting for something!

I went through this book with a single women's bible study and expected to learn more about being single, but I was pleasantly surprised to gain so much more. I went into it thinking I had just gotten out of a waiting season when in certain areas of my life, I'm still in the wait. While not every day's excerpt hit home, there were a few lines throughout the book that gave me mantras and prayers for the week. For that, I'm grateful.

I have so much I could say about this devotional. It’s the first I’ve ever done and it’s supposed to take 6 weeks… but for me, it took 1.5 years. I needed that time to lean on God’s word, to learn to turn to Him solely in my anxiety, to try to see what He was trying to teach me.

This devotional has given me the gift of patience through prayer and peace through trusting God’s perfect timing. I highly recommend it for anyone who’s stuck in a waiting period, wrestling with giving up control to the Lord and leaning on Him. He will never let you down.

I was able to read In the Wait during a period of my life where I needed a lot of patience. The week on community was not relevant to me and felt like it was a waste of time. I still recommend the book because it was helpful for me during a really hard time.
