To summarize: Graphic rape/corpses/torture described in either one or both books; the first is a Jean Claude book, and the 2nd is a Richard book. I preferred #7 because Jean Claude is just more like-able a character than Richard is.
Anita is less of a rude git in these, she's less selfish, learning to control some of her issues, and becoming less a prude - Unfortunately I know how these end up and I really wish that she could have managed to lose some of her judgmental attitude and prudishness without needing to go to the other extreme. We're currently at one actual sex scene a book, starting at... book#6 I think it was?
This was a very good book. It had very intence moments. I love the varioty of creatures that are in this stories. I would suggest this to people that read Twighlight.
