So the only reason I got this was cause I wanted to read Kim Fox's Colwood Firefighters: Zane and it said I should try this one if I'm new. And I was new to Kim Fox's bears.
I really liked the Alien barbarians of Zandipor series Kim wrote with Juno Wells so I wanted to check out her other stuff. Unfortunately this was just sub-par. It was okay, nothing to write home about, wasn't even funny.

The four Vega brothers all watched there mother verbally and mentally abuse there father, she'd even leave for many days and there father always had open arms for her. She could do nothing wrong in his eyes. But the boys all watched this and swore never ever would they take a mate. They had just returned from fighting overseas in the Shifter Special Forces to find out that their father has just died , and bad news turns worse when they see the video which states that all four brothers must get married and find mates within a year or they lose their family ranch forever and it's not a small ranch either. So Julius decided he would apply on the mail order bride app.

Ava King had her wisdom teeth pulled and found out the hard way, you don't drink a bottle of wine on pain killers. You can do many stupid things that you can't change when you wake up with a headache, she remembers she quit her job, than she texts her boyfriend, breaking up now all that is bad enough Ava signs up to a Mail Order Bride website in another state. So when she gets a call for a date, she has nothing to lose so she drives from Seattle to Colwood , Montana. Holy Molly they make men big in Montana. What an adventure she was heading for.. I was gifted this book for an honest and truthful review.

Fun dialogue, but there are other problems
First, the dialogue in this little book is,guaranteed to have you chuckling. That's the reason for one full star. I found few grammatical errors, so technical competence gets another full star. The horribly written introduction nearly put me off reading the book, but the book improved over the intro. It's a fun read, not particularly original in concept or wildly impressive in execution.
My main issue is that the author knows nothing about horses. No one with any sense rides in shorts. No one with any sense puts a rank beginner on a horse without some sort of instruction and definitely not a stallion, regardless how aged. That "u-shaped" back is called sway-backed. With more than 9 million horses in the USA alone, you can bet that some of your readers will catch things like that. If you're going to include something like horses, motorcycles, or firearms, then educate yourself a little before writing something millions of people will know is wrong.

The four Vega brothers have finally left the special military unit behind and returned home, unfortunately not before their father passed away. They each mourned in his own fashion and set about running the family ranch together. But… dad had a different idea. The boys’ mother, although mate to their father, had done the unthinkable – she’d left them all and took off for her own life far from her mate and her children. The brothers really only had the memory of the fights, the belittling and the leaving them to have any feeling about what a mate could or should be in their lives. They’d vowed to remain mate-less because who needed that kind of pain. In a recording of his will, their father laid out to them what a mate could be and he was not letting them go through life with only their brothers for support. No. In order to inherit the ranch and keep it from being turned over to the state, each brother had to find his mate within one year. Airtight, no way to break this will. Oh, and the first brother had to be mated within one month. To say there was an uproar at the Vega Ranch would be an understatement.
One should never, ever mix the medicine given for a root canal along with pain pills and wine. She’d been told not to do exactly that but Ava hadn’t listened. As a result, in her uninhibited, totally drunken state of mind she’d done some serious damage to her life. She’d broken up with her boyfriend, who she suspected was sleeping around on her anyway, left a detailed voice message explaining her thoughts about her boss and her job on her boss’ phone. And to top it all off, according to the sexy voice on her phone this morning after, she’d also signed up for a bridal service kind of dating site – where she was the woman looking to become a bride. Never again would she mix pain medication and wine.
Vega Brothers: Julius was a fun introduction to the brothers and their situation. Each brother has a vastly different personality, and each reacts differently to the news that they must find their mates. One brother is so near to out of control, so angry that he’s going to be endangering them keeping the family ranch by his actions. Julius is the first brother to need to find his mate and he goes on a dating site and sees a picture of a woman who makes him sit up and take notice. His intention is to date, mate and divorce any woman once the deed is in their names… but Ava was turning out to be someone that he could care about, could see himself settling down with and the bond sense pretty much told him he’d found his true mate. Now he had to convince her that his love for her was real and not some scheme to keep the ranch. And it wasn’t going to be easy.
I’m enjoying this series and am heading over to pick up the next one in this series. If you enjoy Shifter Romance, sexy times, an interesting story line and characters who will capture your attention and your heart – then this set of stories should be on your reading list.

These four bear shifter brothers have grown up seeing their unstable mother treat their father abysmally and want nothing to do with mates. Their father knows his mating was a bad example and he has let them down, he plots to support them from the grave. They have to find mates within a year or lose the ranch, better than that one of them must be mated within a month.
Julius is the manwhore of the brothers and the first brother to need to find his mate after losing a bet. His intention is to date, mate and divorce any woman once the deed is in their name. He goes on a dating site and sees a picture of a Ava, a woman who makes him and his bear sit up and take notice. He never counted on Ava turning out to be someone that he could really mate and fall in love with.
Ava throws her current life away after mixing pain pills and alchohol. Her mad dash to work the next morning is too late to save her job. Finding out she has signed up to a mail order bride website as well, she is surprised when she is contacted for a date. With nothing else to do she drives 11 hours for a date and meets Julius. Getting caught.
Ava thought that life could always be handled with a smile on her face, but after loosing her job and boyfriend all in one day she knew she was in trouble.
So Ava did what she always did when things got tough, she hiked up her jeans and took life in her stride. After a night of getting somewhat drunk and really not remembering what she did, Ava meets her match on a brides dating site, not aware he was the special one, she decided to drive the long distance and meet the guy who had her breath and her heart feeling as though they had run a marathon.
Julius had been furious at his father for putting he and his three brothers in this horrific position, never in his wildest dreams had he ever considered taking a mate/wife all they did was bring heartache, but the situation had been taken out 8f his hands so here he was now meeting the woman who had been his match on the dating site.
But suddenly he found that even though he had convinced himself that this perfect woman who had made him smile while opening his eyes to a world he had never considered, he truly wanted to be with Ava all the ways that a mated couple should be, having her as his other half seemed like a dream come true, how can he break his word once the deed had been done.
Julius knew deep down he had met his one true love and the game plan he and his brothers had come up with definitely didn't sit well with his heart and his soul.
WOW!!! Ava had agreed to being his forever, Julius couldn't have been happier, will both Ava and Julius both get to live their dream.
Life and destiny always were determined to follow the correct course of action, so even though the three brothers had twisted the conditions their father had given them to keep their family together destiny was determined that a true mate is with her partner for ALL the right reasons.
So what is going to happen once Ava is shown the real reason why Julius wanted to marry her so quickly, certainly not unsure of herself, but even though she knew what she and Julius had was real for some unknown reason she found niggling doubts raising their head inside her heart.
Is it possible for these two fascinating characters to be truly bound together after their whirlwind romance, of only a few days.
When you find the love of your life two days, two months or two years didn't make a difference you are meant to be together making each other a whole being by finding your other half, surely what she and Julius have found is real they can look forward to a wonderful life together.
Nothing could change what they felt for each other. A superb storyline that looks at reality through rose tinted glasses, we are given a perfect example of how people try to eliminate situations that they don't want to deal with believing the choices they make to skirt around the problem will end up solving a particular issue, but usually you find it brings far more drama and trouble than what you were initially trying to get rid of.
Can these gorgeous Vega brothers turn the conditions around, so they can have their cake and eat it to, or will it cause more pain and frustration than they could have expected.
Kim Fox has an uncanny ability to write about events and situations into a storyline as she creates a wonderful storyline for us to enjoy, while at the same time showing us how reality likes to teach us lessons by setting us up with different ways to learn how deeply our actions can effect those we love and those around us.
Beautifully written and presented your going to be surprised at the final outcome a great read that I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys paranormal romance.

Being all confirmed bachelors, they think they can get around it....
But if they don’t marry, then they lose the ranch!!
Had to chuckle at poor Ava, she doesn’t have much luck, but her sunny disposition helps her through life.

Ava has a very spontaneous night. The next day things start to clear up. She starts off with a bad day. Then her day turns around. She decides to drive to Colwood, Montana.
Julius Vega and his brothers just returned home. They get bad news coming home. Their father has passed away. But he left some speculations in his will.
When Julius and Ava meet. They hit it off really well. So well on the first night they have hot sex. It the mist of it all they fall for each other. They just have to deal with a very annoying and difficult Alexander.
Overall this was a nice book. It was hot and steamy. 🔥🔥 I can't wait to find out what happens next with the brother's.

An old saying of where there's a will, there's a way, didn't know the Vega brothers. When the four brothers arrive home from the service, they learn that their father had just passed. They are shocked to hear that their father is forcing them to marry within a year in order to get the family ranch. One must marry in a month. Julius falls for Ava as soon as he sees her picture. Vega boys have just come home from military duty and their father has died. They draw matches to see who is to get married first. Julius picks the burnt match and goes on to a website to find a bride. Ava had a root canal done and then mixes her meds with wine; she called in and quit her job.

Liked the plot as well as all the characters in this novel, Ava is a delight for any man who is worthy of her. Julius has enough humour to make everyone laugh around him. And his big moody brothers" all have their own loveable side as well... Wonder what is for the next in line for them all?.

A great story. Parts are funny, parts serious and parts are just down right panty soaking fantastic. I was really upset when Alexander decided he knew what was best for everyone, but thankfully somebody else was smarter and able to lend love a helping hand.
