Sarah Woods Mysteries Book 19: Secrets of the Vanished (17 chapters) — Jennifer L. Jennings Oct. 11, 2018

Read as a part of the Sarah Woods Mysteries (Volume 7)

This was a really differently written book from this series and I loved it!

The story starts off with a personal called Molly. I was reading this on my reader, so I went back to the beginning to make sure I was reading a Sarah Woods mystery! When I found out I was, I realized this was going to be a very different type of story.

Molly made an appearance in Sarah’s last mystery and it’s really nice to see her again as a main-er character in this one. We learn more about her and I decided right away that I liked her. She was genuine and realistic.

the story proceeded to rotate back and forth between Molly and Sarah. This format worked well for the plot.

It was kind of twisty and it resolved nearly perfect.

In this story, Carter was a background appearance, and after reading the side story, I was really hesitant how this was going read, but luckily I had nothing to worry about. Sarah is back solving cases. I like it better when Carter isn’t upfront and when Sarah takes the lead in cases. This one really showed she can shine on her own and proves she doesn’t need Carter to help her solve a case.

Editing has gotten a lot better too. Didn’t see any issues, which is great for an independent author.

This one is my favorites so far. I loved that it went between molly and Sarah's points of view, and that we've already met Molly in the previous book.
