This actually raises some excellent judgments about people, and understanding. This is not your typical princess, knight, or bad guy story. In fact, everyone has multi layers, and this does more to talk about what's wrong with EVERYONE involved, not just one person. Even the princess has faults, as she very succinctly puts it in one panel here. She may not admit she has faults, but they are there.
I was worried that Misty would definitely get caught. I was surprised by Pete's poetry and humanity (wonderful emotions) of the monsters that he had to go through. The monsters are and were no different than regular people and I liked how each was so different than expected. I could see Gorga falling for Pete more and thinking that they'd probably make a better couple together. The fact that Fogmoth got confused about musical instruments and torture instruments was too cute. Also, the hint of homosexuality was a nice mention in the comic and sort of a surprise that I don't see very much. I liked how it was just casually put in there and went well with the story flow. Robin was a nice new character that appeared and had some really good things to say. Plus, I knew he would make an appearance as he was spotted in the last panel of page #39. I also, liked how Gorga and Misty were able to handle themselves and show off their strengths.

I borrowed this book from the library that has all the volumes in one and I loved it. It has a strong female lead. A heartbreaking history of the kingdom and the citizens that were once broken coming together.
