The hot new alien mpreg series!

Dark Star

Wealthy, charming and devastatingly-handsome, bad boy Hunter Cavendish is a first class player who lives up to his name. Cool, detached and singularly independent, he’s got no time for love—but plenty of time to pursue a revolving door of voracious lovers.

On the hunt for his latest conquest in a seedy nightclub one late-summer evening, Hunter spies a man watching him. Not just any man—stunningly-sexy, aloof and mysterious—the man, who calls himself Orion, sends a jolt through his body that he’s never even come close to experiencing before.

After that strange and enchanting night, Hunter becomes obsessed by Orion, who haunts his dreams and lives in his thoughts. There’s something strange and unearthly about Orion, but by the time Hunter starts to put the pieces together, his heart is no longer his. And when Hunter starts experiencing a strange sickness and his body begins to change right before his very eyes, he starts to wonder just where this is going, and where it will end up.

A tale of love and intrigue that spans time, space and the depths of the heart.

Each book in the Celestial Seductions series is is a stand alone story with a HEA and no cliffhangers. They do not need to be read in order for maximum enjoyment.

The concept was interesting (though a bit cliché) but the execution was very lacking. There was absolutely no depth to the caracters and the way the story developed was obvious from the beginning. There was also nothing in the story that could create any tension because there were no suprises or exciting developments.

I was sadly disapointed by this story

Hunter never thought he was relationship material

Hunter is an interesting character, a guy who enjoys playing the field, and keeping people at arms length, he never thought he was relationship material, until he met the person who turned his life upside down.

The premise was good but the writing was bad unfortunately. Disjointed, repetitive and bogged down in unnecessary details while being very light on substance. 1.5 stars for the mpreg only.

Great premise, interesting blurb. Unfortunately that's where the good ended.
It ends at 40%. I wasn't persuaded to read the 'free' book at the end. Something by an 'Angel Lovecock', it didn't bode well.
I've read worse, quite a few recently. Why are all the free books bad on amazon these days? Don't authors realise a freebie is a showcase, a chance to grab readers? If so, 'Odin' fails here.
It starts off mediocre and fades. I don't get the title at all. There is no reference to a 'Dark Star' in the book.
The alien love interest 'Orion' is virtually none existent. No personality, ( he isn't often present) in fact there's nothing apart from 'pressing into him from behind' which is about as erotic as the sex scenes get. There is a lot of 'pressing'. Orion appears, there is virtually no conversation, and he vanishes after doing some 'pressing'. Hunter never asks why he does this when he reappears, cos he's so eager to get to the pressing. Orion's mission is to secretly impregnate and then kidnap a suitable human male. Nice chap. Great romantic lead.
Hunter is a player, with a new bloke every night, since he was 17, he's now in his late twenties? That's a lot of booty. He DOESN'T USE CONDOMS or lube for that matter. This is enough to merit a one star. I know it's fiction, but please a little realism here. And do hot adult men think and say 'silly' quite that much?
For a book where the central theme is sex and mpreg, both are lack lustre. Pregnant people do not walk around feeling either constantly elated, sick or crying. Its a good job it's women who carry babies in reality cos if this is how a bloke reacts, we're in BIG trouble. Plus if a baby moves inside you, its likely you would have already noticed a bulge in the belly department.

**I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.**

I'm sad that I have to say, I didn't enjoy this book as much as I did the first one.

Hunter is an unrepentant player who is more than proud in the way he hits it an leaves it. However, one night at a bar on the hunt for his next conquest, he lays eyes on a handsome stranger. One he's instantly in lust with. Almost obsessively so.
He wants to know him and doesn't want to let him get away in his sudden need to be near him. He does miss him though and almost mourns the loss but vows to try to find him the next day.

Then, just like in the previous books, he starts having erotic dreams with his dream man and can't wait until he meets him again. This time, hopefully, in person and in the waking world. Suddenly, he falls ill but tries to brush it off.

When he discovers the true origins of this man, and what his condition is, he lashes out. I felt he went hot and cold way too fast that I really wanted to just slap him upside the head. Even though, truthfully, that sudden denial and fit of anger would be an appropriate response to what he's told.

In the end, I just didn't enjoy it as much because I didn't really like Hunter at first (even though his introduction was hot) and just didn't warm up to him throughout or connect with Hunter the way I did with the previous characters/book.

Still, I look forward to the next.

I don't know how to really rate honestly..... I read the story and the main character goes from being a manwhore and liking it to being hormonal and wanting to slap. I don't care this is supposedly an alien love story..... wouldn't a person question why someone disappear and reappears at night..... give some reality to the alien story.....

I don't care if there is additional stories but having question story to finish at 40% sucks...... I hate that authors are bundling small stories together so randomly.... let them be free on their own....

There is nothing awful in this short story, the several plot inconsistencies being evident only to a reader with an eye for details.
The problem is that I could never get into it and I could never root for the leads; it was like reading a report: it left me cold and indifferent.

3.5 stars. It took me almost the entire story to come to like hunter. ,I thought Orion could have done better for himself. Again I would have like a longer story to see their world and meet the baby.
