As a submissive, Zach stayed out of pack issues. He showed up when it was required, but for the most part, he stuck with those like him. When he comes across a business card of a man selling his kind, Zach has to step up or step aside.
She was a girl without a name, a pet to the man who owned her. Loneliness was the only thing she could count on in this life. Others like her came and were sold within twenty-four hours. There was no use getting attached when they would be leaving her alone once more. And then he showed up…
Zach brought her a name, an identity. He was nothing like the others before him and promised her freedom. It was a promise too good to be true.

K.C. Stewart is the USA Today Bestselling author of the Hailey Holloway series and most recently, the Adirondack Pack series. All her life she had fantasized and day-dreamed on a regular basis but it wasn’t until she began writing short stories that she made those fantasies a reality. She has graduated to novels but still dabbles in the occasional flash fiction and short story. Because of her love for reading and the written word, K.C. is currently continuing her education at Clarion University for Library Science. When she isn’t taking photographs, studying or writing, she is supporting a very real gummy bear habit. Currently, she lives with her boyfriend, german shepherds and cats in central Pennsylvania.
This is the story of Zach and Juliette. This book is full of action, with a small amount of romance. It is a short story which is easy to read. Zach is a really strong character for a submissive. Another great story in the Adirondack Pack series.
This book was released chapter by chapter via the authors newsletter - and I have never been so excited to belong to a newsletter. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and was extremely impatient for each chapter to come in (some name calling may have been involved lol) The idea for a chapter a week is one I love - now I just have to convince the powers that be that a week needs to be shortened.
I really loved Zack and Juliet's story - I am really hoping the show up in the next book too so I can see how things are going with them. and I am going to pick up the other stories in this series as I am quite intrigued with these characters.
A wonderful serial put out through Stewart's newsletter, this story tells the story of Zach. A submissive werewolf unable to shift into his wolf form he stumbles upon a crime ring that profits on the sale of shifters and on the business card that one drops he sees the picture of a girl that calls to him in a way no one has before. Will he be able to save her before it's to late? This was a heartwrenching tale that had me anxious for the next chapter to come out in my email each week. K.C. Stewart did a wonderful job drawing you into the emotions and thoughts of the characters and really made me feel like I was right there with them.
I read this book in instalments and was so gripped by it it was hard to be patient. K.C. Stewart has developed a world where shifters are hidden. Zach is a submissive wolf which means he doesn't shift. He works in his uncle's bar under Alpha Owen. Juliet doesn't even know her own name. Sold to an evil man who deals in selling shifters to rich buyers, she has few memories of her family. She is trotted out for buyers as a sample, totally submissive to her owner. Zach spots her and tells Owen about her and the rescue begins Great characters well written.
This is the first story I've been able to read of Ms. Stewart's and she has made me a fan for sure. Without having read previous books in the series, Unleashed can be read as a standalone. For a short story, it had a good amount of action, intrigue and light romance to make it quick and enjoyable. I loved Zach's strong character and his non-wavering belief in rescuing Juliet. I plan on reading the entirety of this series soon!
Another great addition to this series. Quick, sweet, compassionate story that jumps right into the plot without all the blah, blah that sometimes can overwhelm the plot :). I felt so sorry for Juliet, Zach is just the wolf in (black) sheep clothing she needs. The odd shifters compliment one another, amazing what a shifter can do for his mate. Looking forward to reading what's next.
Author provided ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Being a submissive, Zack is pretty tired of being treated as less than everyone else. He volunteers to get involved in a plot to uncover a shifter kidnapping ring and finds his mate. Loved this story!
Great story, well-written. I enjoyed the characters, the story moved at a fast pace, with enough twists to keep me engaged. I look forward to reading more books by K.C. Stewart. I also liked the romance of the book without the gratuitous sex that is prevalent in most Shifter books.
this was my introduction to this series and I enjoyed it so much I bought the rest of the series for my holiday so I can get some uninterrupted reading done
There is use of swear words in this, though they were sporadic enough they didn’t really bother me. With Zach being a submissive wolf shifter unable to shift, this book really didn’t have too much time spent in wolf form. The girl did change a handful of times, but it was mostly just as a parlor act and was only for a duration of a couple of sentences at a time. I read one of the previous novellas by this author that had dominant wolves in that one, and they barely spent any time in wolf form in that either. Which makes me wonder if the author is just not comfortable with writing about wolf shifters being in wolf form. The author does seem to love dissecting the relationships between the stereotypical character types, which get emphasized in a pack hierarchy, which does make for a really fascinating read. I loved Zach. I love that shy, eager, nice, sweet, humorous character type that he was. (I, in fact, adore it a whole lot more than the pushy, domineering Alpha type. So many books feature the Alpha type, so it’s nice to find books that actually feature some of the other types too). The story was engaging, and I sped through it quickly, dying to know what Zach would do next, and what trouble he would get into. There were plenty of good moments of thrill in this, waiting for the bad guys to get taken down, and the relationship between Zach and the girl he wanted to rescue to blossom, and for her to discover who she was and shed her captive persona). Though this story did wrap up nicely, along with a sweet romance and heroics by a shy type (yay!), there were still quite a few plot points that didn’t get tied up (like Zach’s family) and I really hope we get to see more of Zach in the near future (anyone know if he shows up in the next book or if there are more books planned for this series? I may have to get them if he does).
You've been reading about slaves in our so-called civilised society in London, where he we have slaves of the more exotic kind. It seems, that even in London, people keep slaves to do their 'dirty' work eg housework and so on, but in this book they use shifters as exotic pets and train them to behave, and often use them sexually as well. To obtain such a slave you need to go to an auction and here a member of the pack finds out about one and acquires a slave - to free her of course! and to close down the slave ring if he can. Again a rather different story-line within this series and nicely written.
Great collection of connective stories, linking the previous books together and illustrating a bit more of pack life and bringing some of the secondary characters into the limelight for a while!
Unleashed Zach is a submissive wolf but when he gets the opportunity to rescue Juliet, who has been help captive since she was a little girl by a "collector", he gets all Alpha! He worries that his Alpha might not take action but this is Owen we are talking about!
A shifter romance and rescue. Zach may be a submissive but that doesn’t mean he always follows orders. This one has the whole rescue the damsel in distress but in the end she just may be the hero.
Accidentally Found. I give this book 3.5 stars. This is the fourth book written in the Adirondack Pack series, but the events take place between books two and three. While you can read this as a standalone, I don't recommend that. For this book to make sense you really need to have read the first two books to understand the dynamics and situation in the pack and how Zach fits in it. The book does not end in a cliffhanger but is open-ended for other books in the series. There is violence and adult themes so definitely 18+.
The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat all of that info here. Overall, this book is about Zach and Juliet, but there more to the storyline than just those two. Zach learns some new truths about his family he wasn't expecting. Will he be able to survive when certain facts are exposed? What can and will Owen and Zach do to rescue Juliet from the man she was sold to?
I received a copy of the book from the author in exchange for an honest review. I can't wait to read more of this series!
We met Zach in Mira's story, and know that he is a submissive. This is in terms of him being a wolf only, not in BDSM terms as is mistaken in the book. His family is a piece of work so he left when he was 18 to go and live with Chuck. When he overhears something whilst on a trip back home, and then unexpectedly gets the chance to head a rescue, he jumps at the chance. Once he sees Juliet, all bets are off and his heart is hers.
This is a short and sweet novella which is a wonderful addition to the series. I definitely hope to hear more about Zach, and Juliet. Definitely recommended.

This is a very unusual wolf shifter story. Unusual because the hero (Zach) meets the heroine (Juliet) when he is spying out an illegal shifting ring whereby captive shifters are trained to shift on demand and then are sold to “pet” owners for huge sums of money. Juliet was one of those caged and trained shifters who put on a “show” for Zach because her owner thought Zach was a buyer. But the captive shifters were not allowed to make eye contact or speak to a prospective buyer …and yet, Juliet did just that with Zach. They had a definite “connection.” The rest of the story I will not tell here, but it involved helping Juliet escape her caged life and her cruel owner.

We meet a young lady wolf shifter known only by Pet, Girl or Wolf – depending on the whims of her master. He uses her to entice others to buy his wolf-shifters – and is making a good living at it.
Zach is a submissive in a family of dominants, and overhears a conversation that lets him know sales of shifters is happening nearby. Anyone else from the pack would give themselves away due to their dominance, so Zach is sent in to get more information by posing as a buyer. Unfortunately someone from the “inside” knows him, and he is soon up for sale himself.
The relationship that grows between these two captives, and the efforts to escape result in a thrilling read!!

Zach is a submissive wolf and he has met the woman of his dreams but she is being held by a very bad man Mr. Barnett as a slave he owns her and she would do anything to get away from him but Zach is not strong to do rescue her without help and his Alpha and the pack are doing everything he can to help but he has to wait until they figure out how they can rescue her unfortunately Zach gives himself away and his held hostage along with the woman he calls Juliet. This is how Zach and Juliet came together. This is a very good short story and part of the Adirondack Pack Series. This is an honest review.
I received this from the author in exchange for an honest review.
A quick read that tackles a dark subject. A really good story line with likeable characters. This was the first book in the series I had read, so I was a little out of order. I could tell there are established characters from other books in this one, so this would be a bonus book to fans of the series. This does have a HEA ending and from my perspective is so well done it could be a stand alone book, but it just made me want more of this series to be perfectly honest.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I'll only make a few points: 1. This is the first book I read of this author. 2. This is the first book I read in this series. 3. Did I mention that I read an ARC? *weird* 4. I usually do not read paranormal. 5. I loved it from the start to the end. (At times I was a little lost in the story by the fact of not having read the previous books in the series, but I managed to understand all.)
I read this story as released chapter by chapter in K.C. Stewart's author newsletter. I was holding my breath week to week that Zach would be able to get Juliette away from Barnett. I never saw the twist that puts Zach under Barnett's control or the way the story ended. I will be looking for more stories from the Adirondack Pack in the future.
I loved it just wish it was much longer of a storyline Zach is one of my favorite characters from this series. I definitely can't wait for the next book in the series.
