Again, we area treated to more information on the world and the way that adventuring works. The key battle in the story, Bell against a Minotaur, is a classic in so many ways, but it felt a little long. Still, it was so important to the development of his character that it was worth the page count. The use of the inspiration from his previous encounter with a similar monster, along with a chance meeting at just that point, added power to the results of the battle. One of the best in the series so far.
So Bell, you are doing better & better all the time. The training from Aiz is certainly helping. I think maybe a bit of romance between you two is becoming more & more possible. That was quite a battle! Wow, just amazing. This time Bell got to show off, & he's just getting started! This is such a fun series. I highly recommend it.
Fantastic! So this is where the story has been headed. I no longer care that the art isn't perfect. The story is fantastic! The characters are well-drawn and each is important to the story. I'll bet I can even recommend the light novels based upon the manga. The only question remaining is how the author will be able to maintain the quality through additional volumes.
I think this is probably my all time fave volume of this manga and I am not to sure if its the action pact scenes or the amazing plot of Bell being saved/being apart of the Loki femlia.
ether way this was such an amazing volume and I can't wait to read the next volume!
In the sixth volume of the manga adaptation of the light novel series, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, the actions finally takes us through the end of the third volume and into the beginnings of the fourth volume.
Just as in the anime and light novel, the actions takes us to the trial or crucible set up by the goddess Freya for Bell, who she harbors an unnatural affection for. A dangerous one too. Anyways, she wants his soul to be "pure" and uncorrupted by the fear and terror he has of Minotaurs. To that end, she sends her chief familia member, Ottar, to create a proper trial to purge Bell of his fears.
That leads to Bell having a terrificly awesome fight with a minotaur trained by Ottar, so the minotaur is even more dangerous than other ones. Meanwhile, Bell has been trained by his idol and the woman he is in love with (unbeknownst to her), Aiz Wallenstein. So the fight between these two trained by two of the most powerful adventurers is something to behold.
I loved this fight and how the manga author put it forth. The illustrations aren't quite as exciting as the anime, to be sure, but that is to be expected. They simply couldn't be as fluid and epic as the moving animation of the tv series. But they do pack a punch and show an epic brawl that is really neat to read.
The best part for me was that at the end Bell leveled up and we see the first preview of Welf. Bell has yet to meet him but he will next volume of the manga. And the scene of Welf in his blacksmith shop working is pretty sweet.
A great new addition to this manga adaptation of a really fun LN series.
