Aisha: James Avery is one of those high-handed billionaires who think money can buy them anything. A few handsome donations and suddenly I’m his personal nurse, living in his mansion while he recovers from his cardiac event.
After weeks of tending him, I know there’s a better side hiding under his controlling ways, even if he hides it most of the time. And if I’m honest, the heat between us makes me want to forget everything else.
But there are things he’s not telling me -- and now I’m getting creepy photos in the mail. I don’t know if I can live like this.
James: It’s true: I’ve got a type, and Aisha fits it perfectly. But it’s not just her beauty that draws me to her; it’s her intelligence and her strength. She’s not like the others -- but I don’t know how to make her believe it.
I’m having her guarded for her own protection, but whoever is harassing her is very clever. But I’ll find them, and I’ll stop them. Aisha’s mine, and she’s carrying my baby, and I’m not going to let anything happen to her.
I just have to keep her safe long enough to convince her we belong together.
I found this an ok read. I liked Aishas' spirit & intelligence. She & James both needed to learn about patience & communication. That initial sex scene was disappointing as it is inappropriate, unprofessional and too trashy. (Embarrasing too..😕) It's not high on suspense although Portia is a jealous, vapid, cloying harridan...she doesn't go nearly as far as she could have. I read the second story as a standalone. I gave it 3🌟 also. Both leave issues open at the "end" leaving too many questions.
WOW this is a delightful story! One that you will definitely enjoy. There is so much romance with these awesome characters, they have such great chemistry. It's funny, thrilling and very passionate with parts that will bring tears to your eyes along with their drama element, but the one thing that had me talking to the main female character was a decision she that was kind unbelievable but as I read on I could give her a pass and it made more sense to me anyway. Overall this is a five star romance which l greatly enjoyed
This was an ok read. I think the male character was a bit to unmature for his age. He acted like he was king and they way he treated Aesha was like she was his nurse slave. Yes they did fall in love but it really unbelievable that she did fall for him. He acted like a child the whole time in the story. It would have been better if he was not so demanding towards her.
This story had to many things off point. First, an EEG is not used to monitor the heart, its monitored with an EKG. And might I ask what was his exact diagnoses? Because from his treatment plan I couldn't tell. The editing was off. There were misspelled & misplaced words. Plus I was also confused on Aisha's exact title. Because I just can't imagine a hospital administrator forcing a floor nurse to go prefer private duty nursing no matter how wealthy the patient, that's a lawsuit just waiting to happen. And Aisha's best friend is a lawyer & had nothing to say about that. NO!
What an awesome love story!! Talk about finding love in the weirdest of ways!! Aisha and James situation started off innocently enough, but then became something that was straight from a romantic movie.
Great plot and storytelling. Intense and interesting main characters with wonderful sense of humor. An enjoyable read and a believable lifestyle. The wealth seemed realistic as if well researched.
James was a Train wreck of Love for Aisha. I loved that she did not chase him! James made the storyline so exciting that I cheered for him with all the drama & possessiveness. HEA was so Sweet & Nik was a Gem 🥰😍
I could be nitpicking here, I really have a hard time with mistakes that take only minimal effort to never make in the first place much less correct. Two examples: 1). The repeatedly kept referring to an EEG to measure whether there was damage to the H's heart. EEGs measure brain waves, EKGs assess heart rhythm. 2). Blood pressure cuffs don't go on fingers nor do they measure oxygen, they measure the force or pressure the heart exerts when pumping blood, hence the name blood pressure cuff. O2 saturation monitors measure the oxygen with the blood. Nitpicking you say, maybe but when you write a scene or scenes in a medical setting at least do basic research instead of throwing terms you've heard at the doctor's office around and hoping you sound medically clued in. Beyond that the H was a jerk and the heroine was weak, allowing herself to be pimped out by the hospital (h's words not mine). Besides which in this day and age no hospital's would allow administrators would allow themselves to be open to such a blatant sexual harassment suit. When H donated money too the hospital in exchange for the personal services of his pretty nurse. The premise just blows
Such a good story. I started out not liking James because of the way he so arrogantly used his millions to "buy" himself attractive nurse that he wanted under him. Every step of the way Aisha getting him healthy again he fought her until he had to admit that she did make a difference in making him a better man. Some things happened. when they were officially a couple from creepy pictures and letters sent in the addressed to her, founding out she was pregnant while they were if the outs, them getting back together, her get sick and to a visit to his Key West island home,a lot of issues when she was giving birth with him out of the country, him finding out about her giving birth without, her getting kidnapped by his crazy ex- girlfriend, til them getting their hea.
I was a little weary about buying this book after reading some of the reviews but I'm glad I did. I'm not such a stickler over small mistakes if the story is good, especially terms that I'm not sure about myself. This was a great story with a little laughter and I think the character's reply clicked. I think it is a great deal to get two for the price of one. I hope the second story is as interesting as the first. I'll let you know
This was a good book with minimal grammatical errors. It was a little stereotypical and predictable. Aisha gets pregnant of course and drama ensues. It was pretty obvious that Portia was the one who was sending the pictures and letters. Overall I did enjoy the characters and the story moved along at a fast pace. I plan to read more by this author.
This is a cute read but goes a little too long for all the plots that it has going on that are not throughly explained and happen too fast and too frequently. I also wanted a bit more character development for the length of time that the novel at points drags on. I like the book but the previous mob novels I read fro her were a bit better. I would still say this is a great beach read!
Both full story's were great reads. I liked that both female heirion. were very strong yet not corny. The compassionate love that both heroes have is genuine ,considering I'm more of a bdsm and mange girl these are for the relax reading. Very layed back.
