Great, easy read with terrific insight on becoming better. I've read it multiple times and plan to implement the pillars in my classroom as well as on the field.
Going from his early writings I suppose to this style was a bit of an adjustment. It's very good, it's entertaining and it's very quick and easy (2 days max to read). Very good things to put in to action, but don't look for too much depth on them. Good ideas and a good start or supplement to his other stuff. Definitely would recommend it, its such a quick read, and has great stuff.
Highly recommend this to anyone looking for principles to abide by. I have learned that controlling emotions to events are key. Event + Response = Outcome. We cannot control the event but the response. Another idea that stuck with me was, you can do anything, but you can't do everything. This hits home with me and knowing that I cannot do everything in a single day but to better myself with each day and grow.
In this eye-opening, self help book we take a look at the events of an everyday business man as he is faced with odds that are always against him. He then meets Coach Kenny; a self-taught Olympian who views Matthew S. as a person who needs a reflection on what's important in his life that can be viewed through the 12 pillars of peak performance.
Good read! Applying the principles can prove beneficial once you start.
