The United States’ top assassin Brady Hawk learns of a new way that one of the world’s most dangerous prominent terrorist organizations is infiltrating the U.S.—and only Hawk can stop them. When Brady Hawk learns about a sinister plot that Al Hasib has constructed to infiltrate the U.S., it’s only a matter of time before the sleeper cell they’ve planted springs to live and brings death and destruction to U.S. soil.
But Hawk, who’s still reeling from the loss of a person important to him, must forge ahead and put the past behind him.
However, Hawk’s plans to neutralize the threat goes awry amidst a turf struggle between the FBI and the CIA—and he must figure out a way to bring peace while apprehending the threat before millions of innocent lives are lost.
Can he emerge victorious in keeping Americans save from the threat of ruthless terrorists who care nothing about the sanctity of life?
This is book 3 POINT OF IMPACT in the Brady Hawk Series by Jack Patterson. Once again Hawk is focused on completing the mission by any means necessary, which are not by standard procedures. Blunt is dead, so now he is working with General Johnson, and Firestorm. Even though Hawk doesn't trust the General. Carlton Industry has two scientists missing. He also learns there is a new terrorist organization is infiltrating the US. They have a sleeper cell, they have planted that could wipe out Americans. Only Hawk can stop them, he tries to neutralize the threat. Which goes awry and turf struggle between FBI and CIA. Then the stranger he is to meet, is it really Blunt ? Blunt saying it was all planned, he plays on having facial reconstruction done, he wants to snuff out Al Hasib. Another great thriller by Jack Patterson, as you watch Hawk in action once again. Few tidbits leaving us wanting the next book in October for the answers. Given ARC by author for my honest opinion, of which I have given.
Brady Hawks is one of the US best assassin, but can even he stop one of the biggest terrorist groups from invading US soil and doing major damage. Breath holding book until the end, suspense all the way. Just loved it, ready for the next
In this third offering of the Brady Hawk series, Hawk continues his battle against the terrorist organization, Al Hasib; however, this time the threat is on American soil and it's personal. A California sleeper cell has been activated and they're holding his Grandmother hostage. They've also kidnapped two weapons development scientists who just happen to work for the company owned by the man Hawk long believed to be his father. Competing black ops group Searchlight reappears and tries to recruit Alex, Hawk's handler and very possible love interest.
This series just keeps getting better! The story lines are current and in today's world, very believable. Jack Patterson's writing style moves the story along quickly and with few wasted words as he continues to develop his characters. If you're a fan of thrillers, you'll love this series. I received an ARC in return for an honest review. The opinions are my own.
This is the third of his series on Brad Hawk that I have read. I gave the others 5 stars and this one 4 as all had very parallel story lines. Besides he should have nailed Alex by now and what happened to Emily? I think I'll give Patterson a rest for now and read 'Dereliction of Duty' by H. R. McMaster. So far LBJ, McNamara and Gen. Taylor approach traitor status.
In this third book in the Brady Hawk series, Jack Patterson pushes his double-plotting even higher. The main plot pits Firestorm black ops agent Brady Hawk against a San Francisco sleeper cell led by Al Hasad's most dangerous assassin, Talib al-Asadi. And the terrorists plan to use a powerful weapon developed by Hawk's "father," Tom Colton.
To add more pressure, the back story started in Deep Cover (Book 2) becomes a full-fledged secondary plot in this book. Alex Duncan, Hawk's handler and the only person he completely trusts, is being courted by Searchlight, a rival anti-terror organization. She has been questioning Firestorm's motives and leadership for some time and Hawk is the only reason she has stayed. She truly cares for him, but can that overcome her distrust of Firestorm? The time has come for her to make a hard decision.
These intertwined plots contain plenty of twists and reveal more of Hawk's past, but it is his now-rocky relationship with Alex that scores the deep emotional hit. How will they resolve their feelings for each other within the shadow of Firestorm? Now, that's true bang for your buck!
Brady Hawk parachutes down to save innocent people, twists and turns starts. His mother had an affair with Tom Colton and he called him "dad". He owns world's foremost innovative technology, one of the weapons his company made to help our soldiers is PUB-47. Terrorist organization wants to get this weapon to kill thousands of people in America. Taliban Al Had in already kidnapped the two engineers working on this project. They are after Tom Colton and his family, Hawk after saving them. Didn't like this book as much as the others in this series.
Brady Hawk works for a covert clandestine government agency. He hunts and kills terrorists. A new weapon has been developed. It's compact, easy to disguise and transport. Extremely high tech. If used, it's impact is devastating. The terrorists target.... The golden gate bridge. This is an extraordinary thriller. Full of action!! I highly recommend!!
Point of Impact is book 3 of the Brady Hawk series. While each book has it's own "conflict" that is addressed and resolved, it's my opinion that this series should be read in order.
I really enjoyed this fast paced, action packed installment. I am also enjoying the underlying mystery and intrigue!
I am so looking forward to the next book! If you're looking for a good mystery, thriller, action book that does not contain copious amounts of cursing and that also does not contain the all-too-common deplorable lows, I would him recommend this series!
This book was poorly written and proofread. There were spelling and grammatical errors throughout. I had to continuously go back to reread passages to try to get what the author was trying to write. I almost quit the book at one stage but I decided to see if it got any better. It did not get better. I am totally done with this author. If he cannot have his work properly proofread before publication, His stories are not something I will be spending my time reading.
As might imagine Hawk wastes no time in unraveling the web he has been instructed to destroy! However obstacles continue to crop up not the least regarding joining another team! This is made worse by his handler who has also been approached and is seriously considering taking the offer! In the meantime a plot to do serious damage in San Francisco by the Taliban cell must be prevented first!
I like Brady Hawk. He is a bit different than other characters in this line of taking care of America from inside a secret cabal of people in high and low places. From this prospective this book #3 is still a 5 but with a caveat that some things aren't really clear in Brady's life and it behooves the reader to read 1 and 2 first. Having knowledge of 1 and 2 just helps to keep the back story in focus and makes the want to read for number 4 a little stronger. ENJOY!!!
When everything is fine it just keeps getting worse
Great read. A lot of undercover work with no real answers starts to get boring one of the team gets an offer from a competitor. In an odd way it does interfere and slowed things down. The team works hard to figure out what is going on. It appears the terrorists are in control as they capture Alex and several other important players. Do they save the day, I believe so but, one escapes and Hawk and Alexa may be parting ways.
Brady Hawk, US top Assassin, learns of a sinister plot. Al Hasib infiltrated America, ready to release death upon the USA. Hawk must neutralize the threat before it's too late.
Action, action and more action. I loved it. Thrills of high adrenaline marked each scene. Hawk must push past the loss of someone very important to him.
I enjoyed this book and I'm looking forward to the next one.
Quick read. Hope we get some answers to some things soon.
Though one nitpick. In my copy (was a 1-3 boxset), Navy SEAL was written often as "Navy Seal" or "Seals." It should always be SEAL(s). Navy SEAL, where SEAL stands for 'Sea, Air, and Land.' It is always capitalized!
Another fast paced quick read. I love Brady Hawk. This book had a few unexpected plot twist (I won’t spoil them). Don’t hesitate read jump into this series now. This is book #3 and none have disappointed!!!
Hawk is faced with a challenge of saving thousands of lives. Then his becomes more complicated. I have just found this series and am not getting a much sleep. You gotta love Hawk!
This was another great addition to the series. Full of action, suspense, and intriguing twists, it's a story not to be missed. I would recommend this book, series, and author.
Third outing for Brady Hawk and Alex, this time on home soil. Good story, again with lots of subplots, that seem to be building for a big coming together of multiple secret agencies.
I was lucky enough to have gotten a free audio book code from the author. I am volunteering to leave this review. Plenty of twist and turns that will keep you guessing.
The stories are entertaining, but the grammar is not great and continuity within the story gets off. The final fight scene goes from knife to gun to knife.
