More or Less

Rate this book
At the end of Less is More, Cecilia finds herself alone. Benjamin Clark is dead, by his own hand or not, she doesn't know; Robert has betrayed her, and her boss, Carey Rogers has dismissed any and all claims that there's a mole within the US Marshal Service. After pressing Rogers to at least consider the possibility of a mole in the service and attempting to find out what really happened to Benjamin, Cecilia is shocked when she's placed under review for her involvement in his death. With only a month until her review hearing to discover the truth behind Benjamin's death, she reluctantly calls upon Robert Lewis, the only other person who knows anything about the case, and who, she hopes, is still on her side.

This was a wonderfully satisfying ending to the Cecilia Parkinson series. The character development was superb, the plot twists were believable, complex, and realistic, and ending was both bittersweet and emotionally effective. My only complaint is that this seems to be the end of Cecilia's adventures, and I'm not ready to say goodbye. Maybe there's another story - or two or three or four - waiting in the wings?

I recieved a copy of More or Less for an honest review.
Thank you to the author for letting me read her trilogy.

More or Less picked up a few months after the end of Less is More. I personally thought that it started off at a good point. You see the stuggle that Cecelia has after the end of her Witness Procetion case. You find her loosing herself and trying to find herself.
You can relate to the character, which is what I liked about this book.
Once again, the author shows bits a peices of Robert's side. which is kind of depressing still. Only due to him still loving Cecelia.
I find most parts comical. (i.e. Cecelia's stalking of Robert.)
It was a light read, not to much going on, which I personally find best for a conclusion for a trilogy.

Now I am going to disect some of the characters.

Cecelia
You really see her issue with drinking. It is a real problem and it is relatable. More people become alcoholics due to loss and stress. So you really see her struggling with her drinking issues. Also, you see her struggling with her trust. trying to trust Robert again. Trying to straighten out her emotions and feelings. You really do see her finding herself again.

Robert/Walter
You see him struggling as well. He's still arogant as the author origionally wrote, however he is also trying to earn Cecelia's trust and love again. Not realizing that always protecting her was pushing her away. You really see that he takes that in.

Michael
This character was tough. not only did he work for a drug lord, but he was gay and inlove with a straight guy. you see that he has suspisions about Cecelia at first, but then the character throws you off again.

All in all it was a good conclusion for this trilogy. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thank you again to Jenny Ashley for letting me be able to read her novels for reviews.

I must admit that when I began reading the third installment of the Cecilia Parkinson series, I was afraid that I had hyped it up so much in my mind that I would be disappointed. Fortunately, the book ended up being even better than I'd expected. In fact, I think it was my favorite one of the series (and that's saying a lot because I loved the first two)! More or Less is a page turner, but not just because of the Benjamin Clark web Cecilia is trying to untangle to save her job. The Cecilia/Robert storyline is pretty intense and entertaining. My favorite part, though, was getting to know more about Robert the human being, who happens to be even more amazing than I thought. ;) I highly recommend More or Less to anyone looking for a book with secrets, suspense, love, and some action to top it all off.

Overall a decent conclusion to the trilogy...

This book takes place several months after the previous. Cecelia is left battling her demons and determined to find out the truth behind Benjamin's death. She calls upon Robert to head to New York but it ends up being a bigger challenge than either anticipated. Having read the previous books right before this one, I was turned off at the beginning of this book as it essentially just summarizes what happened previously. I decided to give it another chance and enjoyed Cecelia and Robert's story in New York.
