In this book we are still in 1953. September. The joint weddings of Paula and Enrico, although after that they don't feature much. This book contains more of Anneilese(sp) Bruck and her trying to see if Tim Adams made it back alive. Her sister is married to a Major who is Col Lucas' second in command. Eloise Lucas is Tim's sister. If she but knew. Anyway she gets a flat in London, a job at King's college hospital and meets another Adams in the park Jimmy who is Tim's cousin. Jimmy is engaged to Claire Roper and is being teased not very nicely at work because of it. We see Paul and Lulu's settling in. Lulu is still trying to force socialism on everything and everyone. Ned is looking a bit unwell and the family are worried about him. A hood book. Recommended.

Another enjoyable story in this series of a family from south London and their extended families in other areas. The story featured a couple of new characters and one from a previous story. I keep reading as I like most of the characters and the witty writing style.
