Death is coming for Alexa O’Brien.

Alexa must stop Shya from claiming Lilah’s vacant throne. If the demon succeeds all hell will break loose. Forming alliances is a challenge. The vampires hate her and the wolves don’t trust her. Rebellious vampire activity creates tension between Alexa and the FPA. It gets ugly when the covert government operation learns that Shya needs her as a sacrifice.

The strain of what’s to come is weighing on both Arys and Alexa. Arys’s need to protect her is as strong as his growing desire to kill her. Haunted by visions of her death at his hand, Arys can no longer trust himself. The strength of their bond is about to be put to the test.

I am the author of the Alexa O’Brien Huntress and the Rebel Heart series. I write urban fantasy that is dark and gritty with a twist of romance and horror but which is ultimately about people in dark places discovering who they are and what they’re made of.

I’ve been writing since the age of 9 when I had a Christmas themed short story published in the local town paper. A lover of rock music, vampires and muscle cars, I’m a dreamer who always secretly wanted to be a rockstar.

I love to hear from readers so don’t hesitate to drop me a line.

This review is for books 1-8 of the series.

I'm not going to mince words on this one. Alexa O'Brien is an Anita Blake knockoff. The number of parallels between these books and the Anita Blake series is literally too long to list them all. Instead, here's a list of differences.

I think that about covers it. Aside from that, the two are nearly indistinguishable in their current incarnations. Although in all fairness, Anita started much cooler than Alexa has ever been. I don't hate any of the Alexa O'Brien books, but they didn't exactly blow me away either. If you're looking to read something like this, I'd recommend skipping this and going straight for the Anita.

I adore this series...... To all book lovers out there, this is the Alexa O'Brien Huntress series and I strongly recommend it. September Moon is the 8th book in the series and the story keeps getting more captivating as it unfolds.... Okay, when is the next one?

2stars Probably won't be continuing on with this series. It is just too similar to the Anita Blake series, which I do love. However, I feel like this series is a much more watered down version. Alexa is nowhere near the bada** that Anita is. Her men not as hot or interesting as Anita's either. IMO, if you want to read a story like Anita Blake then either read Anita Blake again or better yet read the Merry Gentry series, which is an Anita Blake who gets out-of her own way with more magic.

Very Emotional Ride

I can't believe it happened. I was in tears and in would say the Arthur did a good job writing this I have cured and I cannot stop. This book is a emotional ride for me and I am drowning in this series. I give this book a five-star and I will recommend this book to a friend.

This series always leave me on the edge of my seat. There is a fight against light and darkness. Alexa has a battle on her hands. Arys is torn. I just love Willow and my heart breaks for him. I just love all of the characters. On to the next book.

So what I love about the book covers is that it tells you what is going to happen in the book or which lover is going to be the main attraction in the books. The way you know it is going to be Kale, Shaz or Arys or just a book about Alexa is by looking at the color of the wolf's eyes.

I like all the books in this series. I am sometimes pushed outside of my comfort zone, but books will often do that, one way or another. The characters are just all so dang likable!

4.5 stars. First off I love this series and this book was a great addition. We saw good progression of the story and Alexa herself evolves too. My one complaint that I deducted .5 stars is the state of Alexa and her many men. Make a choice already. We are 8 books in. I love a hot and steamy love triangle but I always feel at one point they need to end. I dont want to see any of the characters that I have come to love get hurt. But even in a paranormal/fantasy novel I find it ridiculous for 2men to share a woman and live happily ever after. The heroine rarely picks my fav hero in triangle love stories.. But seriously. Pick one already.

OMG!!! I love this series...but I especially LOVED this book. I am a huge Kale fan, always have been and this book made actually sigh with happiness. I know it seems weird to do considering the dark place Alexa is in at the moment, but I have waited a long time for this...yes I'm being vague, but can't spoil it for those that haven't read this one!! ❤️❤️. Can't wait to see where the story goes from here. In my heart, I have a feeling it will not be exactly an ending I hope for, but looking forward to the journey. If you are looking for a new series to dive into, I definitely recommend this one!! ☺️

The Alexa O'Brien series continues and as with the others its fast paced with plenty going on, Alexa has to deal with the Vampires, The Wolves, The FPA, The Club and Demon Shya, as well as Her vampires, Arys, Kale and Jenna and her white Wolf Shaz.
As the hound of God, Alexa is the only one who stands a chance at defeating Shya but can she find a way to do that before Shya can complete his plans to take over Lilahs throne using Alexa as a blood sacrifice?
Life is changing for Alexa,Arys and Shaz none of them are sure how this new chapter they are facing will affect their bond but you can bet one thing, whatever happens next won't be dull.
I LOVE this series and can't wait for book 9

Does not disappoint

I have fallen in love with all the characters, well minus ones I love to hate. I don't write big, long reviews, and if I take the time to write anything's it's usually because I either loved it or hated it. This must be love....
Great characters, love the story. Exciting and adventurous, and thrilling, and even a little nerve-wracking! I enjoy this authors story very much. Great picture writing - painting a picture with words...Try the series.

Ms Lee does it again! I so love Alexa, Arys, and Shaz. My only complaint is the leave you hanging endings. But this is still one of my current favorite series. Would highly recommend you you start at the beginning, but if you like vamps, wolves, demons, and angels then you would be more than happy!
