Love at thirty-two thousand feet...

Ever since he was a kid, Blake Tyler dreamed of flying. Now he’s an adult, his career as a commercial airline pilot consumes most of his life. The fact that he’s in a different part of the world on any given week means he’s never had any time for a real relationship. Or at least that’s what he tells himself. And up until he met Christian Lang, he’d always told himself he was straight, too.

“It’s not going to be like last time.”

Flight attendant Christian Lang never wanted to see his ex again. But when the very man shows up in first class with a plan to work his way back into Christian’s life, he has no choice but to put on a smile and treat him like all the other passengers. Christian can’t get hurt again. His job requires him to have tough skin, but Christian can only hide the emotional scars of their past for so long.

“Will you be my Superman?”

What should have been a routine flight to Puerto Rico ends up being a journey of self-discovery, one that has Blake questioning his sexuality and Christian learning what truly makes him happy. But Christian’s ex is a powerful and jealous man who doesn’t plan to give up on winning him back any time soon. For their love to take flight, Christian and Blake will need to make difficult sacrifices together. Will they spread their wings and fly, or will the mounting pressure force them into a downward spiral?

Takeoff is a steamy, standalone gay romance novella with a HEA and no cliffhanger.

Can't get over how much I thoroughly disliked every single character in this book. Nor the terrible writing that often didn't make sense. What the fuck does "aesthetic ribcage" even mean?

"Fuck, maybe it's easier to just be single. What am I doing with another man, anyway? Dom is the gay one, not me."

Well. All that gay sex and pining for another dude could've fucking fooled me.

*** A short story of a pilot and flight attendant finding an instant love connection. ***
Blake, our hunky green-eyed pilot met Flight Attendant Christian, the blue-eyed gorgeous guy, and he's struck by cupid's arrow.

The flight is delayed to wait for a late passenger, who turns out to be Christian's ex, movie star, Chet. The story is about these guy's attraction and hot sex, with a side dish of Chet trying to manipulate people to get what he wants.
The characters are well done, and the plot fast paced.
For a quick sexy short story, try this one. ENJOY !!

This is pretty awful.
It's the worst kind of insta-love with a whole lot of 'telling' and precious little 'showing'
The plot is ridiculous, incredibly far fetched and not believable at all.
The characters are boring with absolutely no chemistry.
The dialogue is cheesy and cringeworthy.
The sex scene...I was virtually reading through my fingers it was so bad.

Short and fluffy story of Blake, an airline pilot, Christian, a flight attendant and aspiring actor, and the flight attendant's movie star ex-boyfriend Chet. Blake and Christian meet for the first time on a flight to Puerto Rico and it's love at first sight for both. Then Chet, the movie star, tries to get Christian back. He offers Blake a job flying his private plane for substantially more money and Blake accepts. Chet then offers Christian a speaking role in his new movie, currently filming on an island nearby. They all must fly out the next morning to the island.

Once there, Christian learns that he has been given a role as an extra in a beach scene and has no lines. Betrayed by Chet once again, he begs Blake not to take the job with Chet, but it's too late. And Christian does not want to have anything more to do with Chet. Will this destroy their budding romance?

Cute story, but rather fluffy with not a lot of substance or character development. For instance, Blake has never been with a man before and has never desired another man. When he is attracted to Christian, he barely questions it. Also, the author irresponsibly has a sex scene without the use of condoms. Not a good thing, given that HIV infection is running very high in the young gay community. It would not have hurt the scene in any way to have the top put on a condom.

Bryan is a pilot and Christian is a flight attendant on his flight. There are immediate sparks between them. Of course, Christian's ex is on the flight and happens to be a big time movie star. There is a lot of potential for the story to flush itself out, but it was written too quickly in my opinion. The characters were relatable, and I was hoping they would find a way to make things work for them. They really were hot together.

Bryan claims to have never been with a man before or even having feelings for them. He jumped real quick into his relationship with Christian. Don't get me wrong-I was actually glad to hear about a guy who accepts his attraction to another man with no hesitation. The fact that it jumped immediately to insta-love after only 2 days and then having sex with a man for his very first time and not using a condom without even a thought about it, though, seemed a bit too much for me.

Probably one thing that could've made it feel more solid for me would be an epilogue. I am just getting a sense of an HFN, and I would've loved to see how Christian and Bryan could make it work. There is a lot more that could be explored with this story. If an epilogue or short after story were written, I would most definitely read it.

Sweet and sexy...
This was such a fun novella to read, it’s a lightweight and entertaining insta-love story that hit some of my favorite notes. At the heart of the story we have Blake, an airline pilot who has spent his entire life convincing himself his career is the reason his relationships with women haven’t worked, and Christian, the charming flight attendant who wins over hearts with his charm and grace. Add Christian’s self-entitled and manipulative sludgeball ex to the mix, and things are bound to get turbulent. (Insert gratuitous airline pun here…) I also couldn’t resist the charisma of Dom, Blake’s co-pilot, who is as campy as they come but who, after years of comradery, is the one who lays it all out there for Blake when it’s time to make the tough choices. With a quick moving plot and entertaining banter, this is a great choice if you’re looking for a quick fix of feel-good steamy romance without the heartwrenching angst.

Love at thirty-two thousand feet? How about Insta-love at thirty two thousand feet!?! 2.5 stars! Captain Blake Tyler loves his job! As a kid he wanted to fly and being a commercial airline pilot is the next best thing! He gets to travel the world and eat clouds for breakfast. Until one morning enter flight attendant Christian Lang who brings him salted peanuts because he was running behind. And it's really love at first sight! The first half of this book was really good .. But things just kind of fell flat after their night together. I felt like they hardly had any page time together and after only 2 days they were already in love . . . And mind you Christian was the first man Blake had ever been with! o_O I think maybe if the book was longer and it spanned more than 2 days it would have been better! I didn't completely hate this book it was somewhat ok but it could have been better! An ARC copy was provided by this author in exchange for an honest review!

Overall book rating: 3 stars I blame the beta readers!!!!!!!
Audio book: n/a
Book cover: 2 Stars

ARC provided by author for an honest review

First the plot is exciting and interesting, I mean who wouldn't want some - love in the air. Pilot (who wanted to be a superhero who could fly as a child)- Male Flight attendant sexy movie actor (who by the way is a total asshat arrogant bastard!!). I liked the story and the characters, with a bit of work and better beta readers I would love to give this author another go.

The problems I found with this book made me so mad because it hat so much potential if only the beta readers did their job. It's little things that could have made a big difference in my opinion.

Even though I had issues with some of the stuff it still was a sweet story to read.

Awww, this was such a charming and sweet romance. First of all, I have a very high respect for airline pilots and so that part of the story fascinated me. The characters were well depicted and I really liked all three of them, Blake, Christian, and Dow. Their personal dialogue was so cute especially since they had very pleasant and fun personalities and I loved how playful they could be at times. And then there's Chet. Ugh! He was a very selfish, thoughtless, game playin' jerk. Luckily Blake realized that Christian was his "one". I just loved the end and my heart did little flip flops as I read this story. It gets five stars just for touching my heart the way it did. :) I'd like to read a lot more like this. I suddenly have a craving for a package of Peanuts. :D

Love in the air :)

ARC recieved in exchange for an honest review
Both MC's are adorably cute and sexy in their own way but Christian just that little bit more there were some wording errors but as a whole the novella is entertaining enough to overlook it however no story is complete without that one character that personifies the words ***hole or douchcanoe what Chet did to both Christian and Blake was just nasty so the HEA was most welcoming. This one is definitely recommendable if you're looking for a quick read and enjoy insta-love.
