When the oldest dragon shifter in the world needed someone to rescue his granddaughter, bear shifter Raphael stood up and volunteered. He was sure it was a fool’s quest. She had been kidnapped months ago, and it was unlikely she was still alive. By the end of it, he may end up the same. That doesn't stop him from agreeing to go, however, for one simple reason: It’s the right thing to do. Besides, with things in Genesis Valley calm for the time being, all the other shifters were spending time with their mates.
Karlie, granddaughter of the dragon Ferrovax, has spent the past nine months in a prison. A fancy, country cottage-style prison, perhaps, but a cage nonetheless. There were no bars on the windows and no chains around her feet, but she knew that leaving was out of the question. The cadre of bear shifters who watched her every move prevented that.
When a handsome stranger appears at her window in the middle of one of the worst storms she's seen, Karlie has seconds to decide what to do. As alarm bells ring and guards come rushing, the stranger promises her safety and a way out of her prison. But she hasn't forgotten that blind trust was what got her into trouble in the first place.
Amelia Jade loves to write the stories of tall, growly shifter men and the women who come to love them. Living out in the back-country near the mountains, she keeps her own alpha male close by, to keep the bears away and keep her warm. In her down time (which is rare), she loves to read science-fiction with a dash of fantasy. You can often find her curled up in front of the real wood-burning fireplace, her nose firmly buried in a book or her favorite ereader. The cold can't bother her there!

STONE BEAR: GUARDIAN by Amelia Jade
When Raphael volunteers to rescue the oldest dragon in the worlds granddaughter, he gets a few more unexpected surprises than he thought.
A prison doesn't necessarily have to have bars, as Karlie soon finds out. No bars but no way of escaping, until a handsome stranger appears at her window.
A very enjoyable and exciting story, with an intriguing storyline with some very interesting twist and turns. The characters are awesome and they had great chemistry. A great read!
This third book in the series is all, Raphael, Stone Bear shifter for Genesis Valley. His mission to rescue, Karlie, the kidnapped granddaughter of Ferro, resident Dragon shifter is a great tale. Raphael, is a straight shooting, gung ho hero. He always does what he can to help others. Karlie is descended from dragons, but being held captive as leverage against her grandfather. She's dynamic & smart, but out numbered In her escape attempts. In this case, Raphael has jumped into a fast paced adventure full of violence, sex and non-stop twists and turns. He's also found his soul's mate. And surviving this harrowing escape and overcoming their assumptions of each other makes this story exciting to read with a rewarding conclusion to the book & the series.
When Ferro had saved the whole community from the actions of his Dragon Shifter son, he then had two dilemmas, 1: finding and rescuing his granddaughter and 2: finding what had happened to the dragon council. Unfortunately, only he could locate the Dragon Council, so Raphael, the youngest of the Stone Bears, voluntaried to locate and rescue the granddaughter. This is where this book starts from. The rescue is a dramatic affair, with a number of recapture situations, fights to the death and escape again. During this period of time, Raphael and Karlie, the Grand daughter become increasingly enamored with each other. What will the grandfather dragon shifter say???
I voluntarily submitted this review after reading an advanced copy of this book
Another really good installment in the Genesis Valley series this is the last in the Stone Bears series and is a great finale. This is about Raphael one of the Stone Bears and how he finds his mate, Karlie is the grand daughter of Ferro the first dragon and has been kidnapped , Raphael is sent to find her along the way they have lots of adventures and end up falling in love. There is lots of hot bedroom action ,plenty of adventure and a lot of shifter fights. Lots to keep you entertained another enjoyable read in a good series.
I really enjoyed this book. It is always interesting to see how the different types of shifters have certain behaviors in common and then others that are completely different
This book had it all: a kidnapped girl, a bear, dragon, and so much drama! I could not put this book down until I finished it! I would recommend this book to anybody that likes a little drama with a happy ending!
Loved this series with good storylines and characters and I couldn't put it down so it's a well deserved five stars and I would recommend this book to everyone
What a great read. I really enjoyed this story. I have come into this series on this the last book. I am going back to read all the preceding books. Raphael and Karly were fantastic, one of the best couples I have read about in ages. They suited so perfectly. What an action adventure ride this book takes you on. This story seems separate but still flows along with the series. There is a lot of background information that comes through about what has happened prior without taking away from the story our two have going on. Will read this book again once I have read the others first. This is my honest review of this book.
I am in love with these books. There are 2 series that come together to make a fantastical world that we can not seem to get enough of. The best way to read these books is in order of release as opposed to reading one series before the other.
We have Raphael's story in this book ... Things have come toma head in Genesis valley .. People are still missing .. And no one knows what the heck happened to the dragon counsel. Ferro is going to find them. With the threats that Luthor held over Ferro gone, he needs to get his granddaughter back to safety. He has entrusted this task to Raphael.
Raphael knows the second he sees Karlies picture in Ferros hand that she is it. And he will get her back no matter what the cost. Karlie is full of fire and has no trouble taking care of herself however as she spends time with Raphael she realizes she doesn't always have to take care of herself alone I loved this story. These 2 people had the connection that we all long for..and honestly I think the majority of us read these books for exactly this type of love. A love that is all consuming.. A deep down soul touching love. And I can not wait for more of these books. Amelia Jade writes romance in such a way that it makes me believe this type of love is out there. And truly, what more could we ask for from a romance novel?
I received for a honest review. Loved this series. Raphael was of the Stone Bears. He had taken on the duty of going to find Ferro’s granddaughter. Once again I have to mention how much I find Ferro very interesting. Raphael from the moment he saw Karlie’s photo he was attracted to her. There was just this feeling he did not understand. He has been warned in Ferro’s way to keep it in his pants.
Karlie was a prisoner. Her low down father Luthor has seen to this. I can only imagine the hurt and betrayal that Karlie must of felt. The one thing I loved about Karlie is that she is a fighter. No matter how long she has been locked up or how hopeless it seems she is determined to keep trying to escape.
Raphael is worried about the feelings he is having toward Karlie. Not only is he worried about what Ferro will say but he is worried about how she will out live him. How could she possible want someone that will die before her. Surely she will want another dragon shifter to grow old with.
This was a wonderful book. Once you think that Raphael and Karlie are in the clear trouble finds them. This book will keep you on your toes. I so can not wait to see what the next book holds.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I've been a fan of this series from the beginning, and I've loved Raphael since we first met him. So needless to say, I was really excited to see him get his own story! Bonus points that his story involved finding out what happened to Ferro's granddaughter, Karlie. I really enjoyed this story and seeing Raphael and Karlie fall in love while dealing with their situation. There was an issue that bothered me to begin with, the same issue that Raphael had concerning the major difference between the life span of a bear shifter and the major life span of a dragon shifter. BUT I was so very happy with the solution to that. No spoilers, but just keep in mind that I love HEAs and really hate when characters are widowed, if that gives you any hints. I can't wait to see what the author has in store next, and I'm looking forward to seeing more from Ferro!
Raphael is sent by Karlie's grandfather to rescue her from wherever her father, Luthor, had imprisoned her. Raphael is a bear shifter and Karlie is a dragon shifter. Or is she? The interaction between these two was adorable. Karlie is tough but tender hearted, and Raphael is combat trained to do what he has to to get the job done. There was humor between them, anxiety, attraction, and also tenderness. They have to overcome so many of Luthor's hired goons, who are trying to kill Raphael and bring Karlie back. Unbeknownst to the bad guys, their leader is dead, as Luthor was killed by Karlie's grandfather. Just when it seems Raphael and Karlie are safe, once again they must fight for their freedom. What a great read.
This is the second in the series of Stone Bears who helps defends Genesis Valley from hostile takeover. Uriel has been severely damaged losing an arm, which for shifters, something they can't heal from. He meets Karlie, who shows him other ways to adapt from losing an arm. He get his self-esteem, self-confidence back helping fighting off invading army of shifters.
I don't think I've ever read a book about a character losing an arm, so how Uriel's character overcomes his disability makes an interesting and unique read. As always the book is fast-paced, colourful, sexy book about a shifter finding his mate.
Can hardly wait to read the next book in the series, Stone Bear Phoenix.
Raphael is a Stone Bear shifter from Genesis Valley. He has his own exciting story to be told. His hidden depths emerge and are put to a test. Karlie is the heroine of this tale. Don't underestimate her! She's a lot smarter and resourceful than she looks. Read to find out what her role is in this story.
Beware! Danger and intrigue are second nature to the story. Read to find out how they survive.
Raphael is the last Stone Bear that has not found his mate. In this book, he has volunteered to find Karlie, Ferro's granddaughter who had been kidnapped. Amelia Jade has written such wonderful stories about the shifters of Genesis Valley finding their mates, but they are all so much more than that. This book has lots of suspense, twists and turns, humor, and love. I received this book from the author in return for an honest review, and I really enjoyed reading it, so I recommend it.
Constant excitement throughout this story. Raphael goes to rescue Ferro's granddaughter Karlie. The action starts from when Ferro asked Raphael to find her as she's been missing for a year. Now I need to go back and read books 1 and 2 of this Stone Bear series.
A very good story really liked it a lot, was so excited about meeting Faro's daughter. And how did Vincent and the others not know about her father. Can't wait to find out what happened with Faro.
The book is full of action adventure as the two main characters fall in Love. Being chased by the kidnappers hired by her father Raphael and Karlie race for freedom. Why don't the hired goons know their boss is dead?
Just when I thought things couldn't get any better, along comes Raphiel and Karlie. Fantastic story, lots of action, plenty of great shifter sex, and plain old fashion fun. I loved it
I'm so in awe of the heroine in this book! She is so strong and pretty smart and capable that I'm definitely a fan! I love this series but this book is one of my favorites. Can't wait to read Ferro's story!
Another great book. I liked the twist and turns, being on the run from all the shifters who kidnapped her, Kharlie and Rafeal have to help each other to escape back home.
I got this book free for an arc review. I really enjoyed this book. And I liked how Karlie was strong and her own. It was a great story can't wait for the next series.
