Rodney's Antarctica is a lot like Siberia in that it's full of scientists who work 16-hour days and bathe once a week (twice when they're feeling social), and who would slit your throat for a fresh banana. Also, you can't go for a walk without a survival kit, but that's fine - Rodney's never really been an outdoorsy person.

DNF due to the narrow-mindedness and blatant xenophobia of the author. Tell me you are not a well-travelled individual without telling me you are not a well-travelled individual.
Perhaps the dumbest thing that I have read is a Canadian criticizing Russian cuisine because it’s potato based. While the Canadian national dish is - news flash - POTATO BASED. Ever been to Canada. I assume not.
They then proceed to further criticize Russian cuisine for its “pickled fish”. Pickled fish or marinated herring was invented by the Dutch in the Middle Ages. The Russians, along with the other countries have only learned to souse or marinate the herring much, much later. Pickled fish is therefore effectively a Dutch and/ or a German dish. A Scandinavian, if you like. But to blame Russian cuisine for pickled fish is essentially as stupid as to blame it for sushi since plenty of Russian people know how to make sushi at home. And, unlike the xenophobic, narrow minded and, well, stupid author of this piece, Rodney would of course be aware of all this.
Also, surprisingly, both of the main heroes’ mothers are mentally ill, and Rodney’s sister, the brilliant and genius Rodney’s sister is portrayed as an effed up religious fanatic. What in the Billy Graham?.. Yes and by the way these are the only three female characters in this piece.
It’s a free world however, so feel free to go ahead and read this for even more boring and delulu headcanon and mediocre porn.
