TerraMates #1-3

Dangerous: TerraMates Collection One

Rate this book
Three mysterious aliens. Three Earth women fated to be their mates.

WATER WORLD WARRIOR

Why would I want to be married to an alien?

I should not have applied to TerraMates. The idea was crazy. I'm a young woman, in the prime of my life.

But I was desperate.

When I landed on another world, his appearance intrigued me. He dripped sexuality and moved like an animal. We have three days together before he sets sail without me. Am I going to escape or submit to my desires?

TAKEN

What happens when TerraMates runs out of applicants?

There's never a shortage of wealthy alien bachelors looking for the thrill of mating with a human. They want our women.

But despite the promise of riches, sometimes the pool of available brides runs dry.

How does TerraMates find more girls, and where do they go? When Lyzette gets taken off the street, she finds out.

WATER WORLD CONFIDENTIAL

He needed a wife. I wanted an alien lover.

The first time I saw Jori, I hated everything about him. He didn't care about anything except himself. On the other hand, his body was spectacular, and his muscles were firm. I couldn't stop thinking about him.

When TerraMates gave me the chance to marry Jori, I took it. I knew I needed the money. What I didn't know was that Jori's exterior was a facade, and he had kept secrets from everyone his entire life.

WATER WORLD WARRIOR:
I really enjoyed WATER WORLD WARRIOR by Lisa Lace and am so glad I took a chance on a new-to-me author. What I love most about science fiction / futuristic romances is that the imagination can run wild. Love is love... but the different environments, character descriptions, societal rules and expectations have a little more liberty and are so much fun to read! Ms Lace offers plenty of details and world building, but not so much as to slow down the pace or dilute the romance in Water World Warrior.
Ashlynn and Nathaniel were both in desperate situations and both turned to TerraMates, a matchmaking service, for a way out. However, to each of their surprise they find unexpected love. Talk about taking online dating to the extreme! But they were very well suited, both with a scientific mind and an adventurous spirit. Nat, for instance, is a bit of a Robin Hood in the guise of a pirate, stealing food meant for the needy from supply ships that are supposed to be delivering it, to make sure those food supplies actually make it to those it is meant for. Ms. Lace tells their story with humor, excitement, a bit of danger, and some very steamy scenes. I listened to the audio version, which utilizes two narrators alternating as the story is being told from both Ashlynn and Nat's point of view. I will definitely be checking out other books in this series! 4 stars

TAKEN:
TAKEN, the second book in the Terramates series by Lisa Lace really captivated my interest from beginning to end. And yes, sorry. but pun intended. Taken was a clearly well-thought-out storyline with a believably built-up romance between the two main characters. There were some unexpected twists, some violence and danger, some unlikely female bonding and empowerment, and some very steamy scenes between Mikael and Lyzette... and not the type I expected. All working together to make this a very fascinating read that I enjoyed very much.
I really admired the strength portrayed in Lyzette's personality despite her constant feelings of not being smart enough to do well or be respected. And despite her horrible mother and home life, she bravely faces the situation she finds herself in after being kidnapped off the streets and sold into slavery. Rather than whine she essentially puts her shoulders back and makes the best of the situation.
As the ruler of the planet Marka, Mikael is a very powerful and respected man. He has had many consorts. All who continue to serve his household rather than being put away or sold for someone else's slave. He is bound in many ways by the traditions of his family and his planet. No one is more surprised than he when Lyzette, his latest choice of consort causes him to see things in a different light. No other woman has ever touched his heart the way this Earth woman has. He begins to reconsider his actions as a man and as a ruler. I enjoyed every bit of the story and was very impressed with the outcome. Fabulous ending. 4.5 stars

WATER WORLD CONFIDENTIAL:
WATER WORLD CONFIDENTIAL by Lisa Lace is the third book in her TerraMates series. I'm a fan of this series and in my opinion Jori and Samantha's story is the best so far. I think I enjoyed this book more because I have read the first two books in the series, but it can easily be read as a stand-alone story.
Jori is the younger brother of Nathaniel from the first book in the series, Water World Warrior... he was a bit of a jerk, selfish, and his older brother was always worrying about him. But now he has his own story and I don't want to give out spoilers, but he is totally redeemed and we get to see the real Jori... a very sexy, very loving and protective, and self-sacrificing Jori. I loved his story even without the love story!!
Sam is Ashlynn's (Nathaniel's terramate) friend and a character I really liked from the first book so it was great getting to know her better too. She is bold, adventurous and not afraid to go for what she wants. A perfect match for Jori. Together they are an awesome couple.
I listened to the audio version of Water World Confidential and must say I liked the narration for this book more than the previous books. There is both a male and a female narrator who alternate per chapter based on the point of view for a particular chapter. I thought it worked out well and that each narrator voiced more feeling into what they were reading than the narrator of first two books. Overall a great story I highly recommend! 4 stars

3 great stories of lust, love & all while fighting for the greater good

I wasn't sure what to make of these stories after reading the description, but was really satisfied by the new series created by Lisa Lace. Fortunately for me there are quite a few stories already authored and waiting to be read.

These are the first three stories in the TerraMates series. They surround an alien - human marriage service agency. Apparently there are a lot of known aliens, with more coming forth every week, and some are interested in a marriage arrangement with humans. It works by giving the human (and alien) a few potential suitors, and if they each select the other, then a marriage contract can be issued. In this the human is paid 500,000 credits and agrees to marry the alien within 24 hours of traveling to his planet. The marriage contract is for 1 year and sex is optional.

Each of the stories have been unique with 1 and 3 having some crossover. They do contain some adult language, semi-steamy intimate scenes, and violence, including kidnapping, attempted rape / assault and in the 3rd book the investigation into a child trafficking ring. If any of these situations bother you, then this may not be the story or series for you.

Mermen and bullets flying

Book 3 in the TerraMates series is no disappointment . The main characters were well thought out and didn't make you want to slap them for being stupid at any point in the story. They worked through their fears and feelings like rational adults and even helped each other. I Love the water world and all of the things happening on the planet. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. This author is easy to read and follow. Her stories are flowing and continuity doesn't get mixed up like some other authors I've read.
