3 stars - right smack in the middle because this book is extremely unpleasant to read.
I will readily admit that I read only 38% and that's because this book is such an extremely unpleasant read.

Here is what is my problem. Everybody can read through my almost 500 reviews - I never complain about formatting, spelling errors, or any technicalities. However, this book stretches the reader's patience: If typography is an art form this book shows what NOT to do. Steve Jobs would have fainted had he had an opportunity to see the jumble of different fonts on each page, let alone the whole book.

The reader who is supposed to focus on the content gets irritated by the abundance of font sizes and styles.

1. different sized fonts, (18 or 20, 14, 11, and 8)
2. bold,
3. regular,
4. Italic,
5. bold Italics,
6. underscored,
7. there are even chapter titles in two (2) font sizes (formatting error? or so desired?)
Every page on my kindle features at least 4 of the above listed options in half of each page's paragraphs. I can honestly say that I have never seen an ebook like this.

Additionally, absolutely every paragraph begins with big fonts which get gradually smaller toward the end of the paragraph. It's almost as if the author does not want the reader to read the end of the paragraph.

This is so bad that at first I thought my Kindle was acting up. So, I also downloaded the book to my computer. My Kindle is fine; the book is formatted in this weird style.

It may be a great book, but I find it unreadable as it is. I recommend to check the sample before buying.

This was a good book for me to read, since this this the turn my career seems to be gradually making. However, because I am virtually new to this type of writing, it was somewhat confusing. Although I appreciated his covert humor, he at times came across as arrogant and condescending. So, I can see how this book would have been rated as controversial. Still, I don’t think I wasted my time, as I was able to carry some information away. This may have been a stretch for me to start with, but as I delve a bit more into this subject, maybe I will understand a little more of the deeper meaning.
Confused, I think!!
