*My Thoughts*

Unbreakable is the third and final installment in author Liz Long's Heroes of Arcania trilogy. When last we left Nova Benson, aka Supernova, she was being tossed out a window by her arch-nemesis Fortune while holding a bomb. At the same time, Cole Warner was taken by a teleporter to Fortune, where he is given an ultimatum. He can either save his sister Penelope, or bring him Nova in hopes she will join with him and stop fighting him ever inch of the way. Cole's choice will have immediate implications for everyone involved.

Once again Liz, thank you so so much for the ARC! I am really grateful for finding me and my little blog to begin with.

Can I say that I am kinda sad now that HoA is over with Unbreakable?

It has been quite a ride, and I have loved the book, heck the whole series was amazing and I loved every second I spent with Nova, Cole and Pen!

Back to Unbreakable, and we are closing in on Fortune. I hope that you guys read the first two books, since you are here I am assuming you have.

Liz is once again using a lot of twists in this last book, I was getting dizzy and the nosy brat in me was so frustrated cause I wanted to know what way we were going to bring Fortune down!

A girl has gotta know!

Right?

So you recall in Fortune's Favor, Cole took Pen's place beside Fortune in order to "help" him with his plans. Cole is struggling and well you can imagine Nova is not handling all of this any better.

Things are bad guys!

I found it really upsetting seeing Cole like this, and I appreciated Nova not losing it entirely. I have no idea in what shape I would have been in her place. I would not have handled it as well, but then I am a crazy worry wart!

There was also the whole discussion about Fortune's mom in book 2 and I am very glad to give you a spoiler here and tell you that our beloved gang follows that avenue still.

I now need to talk about Fortune, here we have someone who is losing it little by little and he is warring with the mafia bosses (what were you thinking dude?? really???) I think in a way he knows the end is coming and our bad boy wants to go out with a bang by doing the most damage possible.

Fortune is coming unhinged or should I say he has come unhinged and well as he is the bad guy, I really cannot possibly feel sorry for him! I mean I cannot. I have loved hating him so very much, and for that alone super kudos to you Liz!

Though we spend most the first half of Unbreakable in planning, the ending was fabulous! Action packed, exciting and a glorious ending!

Did I forget to mention (it's a spoiler) that Cole can travel through time? Well not too well, but he can do it!

The reason I mention that is because we have avoided a super tragedy thanks to that particular gift? I wont any more, but there was a huge gasp, a possible falling out of my bed situation and an odd memory of the original Superman movie when Clarks flies backwards around the earth to go back in time and save Lois.

So yes, tragedy averted, but oddly it still happened and my heart stopped!

Stopped people!

Liz, I love you but you nearly killed me there! Just saying!

But like the majority of series, I am happy to report that it all ends well and as I said before for the other books it was fantastic!

Though I will be honest and I need to bring this up, Fortune's mom is trouble just like her son. I could see potential drama from her in the future. But that then is up to you Liz and if you are planning something else.

Now that I look at this review, there are tons and tons of spoilers! Sorry, but I always find it so hard to not give out stuff. After all, at least for me it is always parts of the story, characters or bits and bobs that make me love a book or in this case a series.

So there you have it everyone!

Unbreakable is out today and you are going to have to read it! There is no choice! it is a wonderful book and an amazing conclusion to this wonderful series. Liz, thank you so much for the out of this world story telling and I cannot wait to read what you will come up with next!

My Thoughts:

In a summer full of great releases, one has stood high above the masses. A series full of hope, action, adventure, and emotion. A series that has taken critics by storm. Heroes of Arcania has been one amazing trilogy from start to finish! With the release of Unbreakable, Liz Long has completed the story of Nova, Cole, and Penelope as they take on Arcania's greatest threat: the madman Fortune with more than a few secrets up his sleeve.

After a successful summer of releases leading up to the earth-shattering finale, could Long deliver on the high hopes and promises made? Absolutely! And so much more!

As anyone who has followed the writing career of Long will attest, Unbreakable is her greatest work yet! After two highly successful releases in the trilogy, I have found myself holding my breath in anticipation of the HoA finale. Will Nova finally avenge her sister's death and save her precious Arcania from Fortune's evil grasps?

I won't say too much about the plot in this one as to avoid massive spoilers, but I can tell you that this finale was everything I was hoping for, and more. We finally get answers to the hard-hitting questions the readers have been begging for since the release of book one. Our story comes to a close in one action-packed finale that will leave you on the edge of your seat until the very last page. Long has truly outdone herself with this release!

Unbreakable really brought out the emotions unlike anything I've seen from Long previously (and everyone who has read her Donovan Circus series knows that's a feat). Long pulls out all the stops with some incredible themes and a more than a few heart-stopping moments of suspense and action. Saying goodbye to the Heroes of Arcania wasn't easy, but wow, what an ending!

In a one-of-a-kind series like Heroes of Arcania, Long has taken the traditional conventions of the Superhero genre and turned them on their heads. With an exception cast of well-developed characters, an emotionally-gripping plot, and a setting that really takes the cake, Long has crafted a trilogy sure to stay fresh on the minds of readers for years to come!

Look out Hollywood, I've got your next Superhero blockbuster right here! Be on the look out readers, Long is a star who is here to stay and shine on! Massive kudos to Long for completing such an intriguing and well-written superhero series for fans of all ages and reader-interests. The perfect read for anyone looking to spice up their TBR this summer, Heroes of Arcania is NOT to be missed!

As you can clearly see, I was a huge fan of the finale to this incredible series. I am so excited to be granting Unbreakable, a near-perfect 5-star review. I highly recommend this series to all fans of sci-fi, paranormal, or superheros of all age levels. Add this series to your TBR today!

Don't forget to check out Liz Long's Donovan Circus series for even MORE Gifted fun!

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book

I feel like I watched this series grow up thanks to the author letting me read the trilogy. This was an amazing end to Fortune’s reign of terror but I feel like a spin off series could come from this.

It kept that youth feeling without shoving it in your face and really kept in mind that these are just kids dragged into something way over their heads but they work through it the best way they can.

The writing continued to drag me into the story, the pace was excellent for the plot and the cover, as always, is amazing.

I feel like I should have known what Cole was going to do, and maybe I did in the back of my mind it’s rather obvious now that I’m thinking about it but it did surprise me a bit.

*Warning: Major Spoiler!*

And Henry! Henry! I was about to throw my Kindle when he died and I would have stopped reading if Cole hadn’t gone back in time to bring him back. You can’t play with my feelings like that!

*End Spoiler*

Full of action and very little romance in this one because of Coles decision but I am so sad that this series is done but I’m happy about it as well. I feel like this could be relatable to teens and believe that this is a good series for them to have teens who are heroes themselves instead of sidekicks. Also a fun read for adults, speaking from experience.

Top of my Young Adult list of favorites.

Thank you for reading my review.

All good series must come to an end... or in this case trilogies. That doesn't mean that I have to like it though. *sigh*

The Heroes of Arcania trilogy was intense, emotional, action packed and Unbreakable did in fact bring the trilogy to a satisfying conclusion, but I still wasn't ready to say good-bye. That's nothing new for me though. The two books that came before this one, Supernova and Fortune's Favor, pretty much insured that I would become emotionally attached to not just Nova, but Henry, Cole and even Penelope. Now that I 'know' them, saying goodbye isn't easy. *double sigh*

Unbreakable started pretty much where Fortune's Favor left off. Penelope's fate hangs in the balance and Cole has some pretty big decisions to make. The odds seemed impossible and Cole's solution wasn't the greatest, but he didn't have many choices. Not if he wanted to keep everyone he cared about safe.

I can't say a lot more because I don't want to risk giving anything away. Just know that it was intense, suspenseful and at times heartbreaking. (Yes there were tears...) And in case anyone is wondering, Liz Long is still on my 2016 Evil Author list. Oh, and it probably will surprise no one that I wouldn't be opposed to a reappearance from any of these characters in the future. There is a connection between this series and Long's Donovan's Circus series, so anything's possible, right?

(I received a copy from Mark My Words Book Publicity in exchange for my honest review)

Unbreakable by Liz Long is the final book in the Heroes of Arcania trilogy.
I'm so happy to have been given the chance to read the entire trilogy and Unbreakable gives a strong finish.

This book starts off immediately after the end of the 2nd book, Fortune's Favor, where Cole was taken by the Transporter to an unknown location while Fortune has given his bomb to Nova and thrown her off the building.

The rest of the story continues with Fortune playing his games with Nova and Nova trying hard to protect everyone she loves. Cole got the chance to further his Timekeeper skills and we really see him grow into the man he will one day be. Penelope has also learnt to control her powers and make important decisions as to when and where to use them. Henry proves his worth to his friends while he pushed away his notions of reporting every single thing in the school newspapers.

In the end, of course the good comes out triumphant while evil is defeated. I'm very pleased to say we get a happy ever after ending and I love the entire trilogy and the characters that Liz Long has created.

Ready for the college years!

I didn't want to finish the book because I didn't want the story to end. Just a really great series.
