What did I think? By the end of the novel, I was mentally throwing myself at Donovan and calling him Ringmaster. IT WAS HOT!
I loved the original idea and Erika's writing really dragged me in. Usually I'm not much of a fan of alternating first-POV but it wasn't repetitious at all, and I definitely think it added a lot to the story. I'm hoping the author writes another full length novel soon!

Come join the circus...
Olivia wants to get away from her overbearing family and jumps at the chance to run away with the circus. Only this circus puts pleasure in the center ring and the spotlight is on Olivia. Soon she's falling for the darkly sensual ringmaster who commands her both on and off stage. Can they survive the fireworks of their passion or will the lovers be torn apart? Very creative story with a brooding yet caring dominant hero. Wish this kind of circus would come to my town...
You can always trust Erika Masten to deliver a great romance. Her command of language and story are superb...she never disappoints. Highly recommend.

I was a little apprehensive when I started this book because I typically do not like reading about intense BDSM in a story. But I had nothing to worry about. This story was fantastic with the perfect blend of focusing on the relationships and the hot times. The idea of a Cirque de Plaisir is incredibly intriguing and captivating and fascinating and well I can't think of any more adjectives other than it was awesome!
I loved the main characters Olivia and Donovan. Did not really like Donovan's wavering and moodiness, but of course I can see where he was coming from. I really liked how Olivia was a fully developed character with an intense back story. Olivia's past and its influence on the story really helped shape the story and make it less than just about the circus. It added depth to the story which I really enjoyed. Also loved all of the supporting characters most of whom were incredibly funny and witty.
The book moved at a great pace and never really got dull. I would definitely recommend this book--but only to people who like hot stories and circuses lol

Literally could not stop reading...there isn't one thing to complain about. The story line was beyond sexy, everything really flowed nicely and you got just enough background story on the characters to be able to understand them. The "Ringmaster" rivals my all time favorite alpha males. Definitely one of my favorites so far this year. It was really nice to be drawn in to a story such as this...The Circus scenes were very sensual in the way they were described and actual sex was kept to a minimum. I will be reading this one again!!

As much as I enjoyed this book, I do wish some more things had been "shown" rather than simply mentioned. I want to know how things ended up between Thom and his family, though I'm sure we could guess. Also: How did Jade's husband die? Was there a shootout when the cops got to the house? Did someone else do it? How did it even happen? I feel like I missed something there.
And I would've liked more than a paragraph or two about the trial. Also, the final love scene felt kind of rushed to me, which is disappointing because it was the one time Donovan didn't send Olivia away afterward.

Kinky circuses you ask? YES please!!!
Full of pull and tension and wanting and drama, in a travelling cirque style.
Girl of privilege gives up the life of a shadow to escape the cruelty of her family by running away to join the circus.
It is dark, it is dangerous, and it is hot as hell. Seriously , Erika Masten can write some pretty dirty thigh clenching things. Totally worth it, if your into that kind of stuff. And it's a standalone. So If you don't know where to start with her stuff, this is a great place to dive in.

This is a must see cirque. The Ringmaster and Kitten are perfect together. The descriptions of the scenes, the food, and the costumes was amazing and it was easy to imagine the pictures being painted. It's was an amazing book and Erika Masten has definitely just been added to my favorite authors list. This is definitely a must read.

Lots of grammatical errors and incomplete sentence fragments. I expected more complete editing from this author as she is usually much more professional than that. Lots of hot steamy sex which is great, but disappointed with editing. I want to give it five stars, but i can't because of the poor quality.

~Excellent book! Very descriptive BDSM scenes and enjoyed that the book was written w/both views of a Dom & sub! From the middle to the end, I could not STOP reading!! It was overbearing w/drama plot..had just the right balance! Erika Masten..has done it again w/this one! Love it!!!

Couldn't have been more perfect. Donovan Haigh, what a man. A great story with enough twists and turns to get you interested and enough erotic material to make you pant. Highly recommended and added as one of my favorites.

I enjoy reading this story because it was well written with a fascinating story and plot. It contained action, adventure, mystery and mayhem. The main characters perceptions of each other and themselves was interesting. Well done...enjoy, I did!
