Don’t let your last decision be the wrong one. Follow the terror and drama in five short stories that will bring you gravely close to your fears. The winds are howling, can you hear the screams?
Stephen R. King grew up in the Midwest. He enjoys writing short stories in many different genres such as thriller, sci-fi, action-adventure, horror, supernatural, fantasy and more. If you enjoy a good late-night read, or want to spend some time away in another realm or universe, feel free to relax and go on many different journeys with multiple short stories to choose from.
BEWARE Goodreads friends......The author of GRAVE DECISIONS is NOT the REAL Stephen King, but someone with or using the same name to promote his books. Do not be deceived as I was......
Am trying to decide if I should even post a review.
There are a lot of e-books out there featuring short stories purporting to be by Stephen King, the horror writer. This is NOT that Stephen King. Don't be fooled like I was.
Most of the reviews I read were about this writer not being THE Stephen King. Hence the book is bad. It’s not fair. Yes I agree this particular book is not good at all. Not because the author is Stephen R King and not Stephen King. But because the stories are boring and confusing and not at all interesting. I have read other Stephen R King books and some are quite good. So give the writer a break please! As if THE famous Stephen King has not written some stupid stuff.
I knew this was not Stephen King. This author is stephen r king. That being said, I knew what I was getting into. Let me be honest. The book was free, and not am I glad. If this book is any indication of Stephen R Kong's writing style, it will definitely be my last. The first story was ok, barely. The others were stupid and seemed like they were thrown together. Thanks but no thanks
As many other reviews have stated, this is not the famous horror author, Stephen King. The book was written by Stephen R. King. I would personally give him the benefit of the doubt because Stephen is a fairly common name and so is the surname King, however, the way the book and name look is quite similar to Stephen King’s, the famous one, style. All that being said, I rated the book based on the writing within it. I did like the first story. The second story was a crime drama and felt a little underwhelming to me. The third story had promise but there was an inconsistency that left me not liking it. The fourth story was in Lovecraft style and alright. The fifth story was a sci-fi and alright as well. Overall, it was alright but a bit underwhelming and jumped around with genres.
If you like horror and do not want to get INTO a long Novel , then these short stories are a RECOMMENDED READ! Some ARE a little lengthy, but , that is the way it is . STEPHEN R. KING ... DID IT AGAIN !! Bring us some more ! ! ! ! I have become a true Stephen R. King fan ! His style is an easy-to-read , yet flowing and yet pungent writing style . VERY RECOMMENDED READING ! ! ! !
Terrible. I was mistaken in thinking this was a Stephen King short story collection - I found out the hard way when i was thinking that Stephen King seems to be off his game and then sw the author name properly. It is Stephen R King not Stephen King from Bangor Maine who wrote a lot of my fav books like The Stand, Shining etc.
Well, either Stephen King wrote this while on a bender or someone NOT Stephen King wrote it and used his name fraudulently. There are too many grammatical and dialect errors in this otherwise decent book of short stories to belong to the King I've followed for years. But still amusing.
This is not Stephen E King. I can’t believe how many people are confused about who this author is! But that aside, I wasn’t real impressed. There were so many misspelled words and inappropriate words throughout the story. They were good story lines but when the story ends, it’s like it just stops in the middle of the story.
It was OK. I only bought it by accident, thinking it was a Stephen King book. I didn't read the last story, I had enough by then. I sometimes stick with books hoping they will get better. It didn't IMHO
I have to say this is one of his books that did not WOW me like s many other f his works. A little too much science fiction or fantasy for my taste. It s an easy read. In true King fashion he paid attention to detail with description and you can even feel the oviance.
When I downloaded this book I mistakenly thought it was SK. But it is Stephen R King. And he is no where near SK is. I Could write scrap like this. Or a senior class writing assignment
BE WARNED…This is NOT the real Stephen King and not close to his level of skill at drawing in the reader. I gave this book of short stories 3 stars but it was only meh. The last couple of stories were the best. I could’ve skipped the others.
Very disappointed. Maybe it's time Stephan King found a new profession. All of his e-books have been less than I would expect from the ' master of horror'.
These short stories were okay, but not Stephen King's best by any means. He is at his best with developing characters in long novels. The camera story was creative, but the others were no so much.
Like...WTF? I really didn't get where this book was going. It started off okay but quickly lost me. The stories were lackluster and really didn't seem to go anywhere. I am very disappointed
Considering I am a big fan of Stephen King and have read 95% of his books, I find this one wanting. The writing seems juvenile compared to his larger books. Hard for me to say something like this.
