On one hand there are funny poems for kids and on the other hand there are sugar-coated satirical poems whipping the social evils.
Katukutu is a collection of 52 poems. As the name literarily means, the objective of this book is to stimulate the sense of humor of readers so that they relax and laugh.
In abroad, many Bengali parents want their children read Bengali literature and participate in Bengali cultural functions. Their children can talk in Bengali but unfortunately cannot read Bengali. In “Katukutu” 12 poems have been written in English alphabet with Bengali phonetics so that these kids themselves can read Bengali Rhymes and can recite them in social functions.
