Alex had always tried to please her father and had always failed. It was simple really, she was not a boy. She worked her way up from the bottom of her father's construction company and it was on the job that she met Burch and felt an attraction that was to strong to resist. However there was one thing Burch forgot to mention, he was engaged to be married. Pregnant and alone, and disavowed by her father, Alex leaves Boston to make a new life for herself and her unborn child but circumstances lead her back to Boston and all to soon Burch finds out that he has a son, and he wants him, and Alex too. But just as before Burch has kept secrets and neglects to tell Alex that his old fiancee is still in the picture and still in his bed.

Unfortunately I was expecting an erotic romance and got an explicit non-con, repeated assault by the main male character shock pornography story. There is no male character redemption and the h devolves into a poor excuse for a mindless sex toy by the end.
I was not prepared for the level of degradation and violence that was inflicted upon the heroine and the heroine winds up permanently with her abuser who continues to give her to other men while he continues screwing everything in sight, though by this time the heroine is so conditioned and brainwashed she avidly encourages this.
As far as non-con erotica goes, well it wasn't that great and the supposed HEA was really not believable - I have read and enjoyed non-con, but this was straight up assault and violence and a ton of tab A into slot B mediocre physical scenes. The porn aspect was boring, the main male redemption non existent and the h goes from interesting to plastic sex object begging for her next orgasm.
The H also spends 90% of the book screwing another woman while pimping out the h and there is no h redress for that either.

Dnf What da whaaaat? I read expectating to be a mistake from his part, expecting some groveling but he kept doing stupid things and finally he became a disgusting and irredeemable person.
Violence, non con, forced sharing, cheating. Disgusting indeed.
Against everyone that has read this book, I went ahead and read this book and the little that I had I sure as wished I hadn't. It was HORRIBLE! How this writer can write this book as a romance is beyond my understanding. I will be honest and say I could not finish this book. I read up to the rape part, (from other reviewers it sounds like there was more than one time??!!!!!) HOW IS THAT ROMANCE?? Violence against women is never romance, NEVER! this author is a horrible writer for even suggesting that it is.
I like angsty stories but this was a hard one to read. The H basically rapes the h and allows his driver to rape her as well. Just no. There is also a lot of cheating. The H still has his ex-fiancé as a side piece the whole time he’s with the h. =\
This book deserves zero stars but I cannot write a review without giving it a star. Simple and plain tacky book. I am flabbergasted at the ending.
It was written in bad taste. There were a few points whenever h stood up to H (besides sex) I was so proud of her but then she ewww... she went along with something like that after what he did to her ewwwwwwww . How can a person love someone when he is willing to share her with someone else. This is not love. I so wanted H to redeem himself but oh GOD worst character ever.
dnf'd at 19%. While I liked the plot I never felt a connection to the heroine or her struggles. The writing style was telling not showing. It was passionless tho there was drama. And the hero, never felt any chemistry between him and the heroine.
