Trouble in Disguise is the story of two bounty hunters, Beau Beauregard and Deacon McCallister. Beau Beauregard is actually Miracle "Miri" Beauregard. Deacon is a former preacher and widower turned bounty hunter. He is also unaware that Beau is actually a woman with her sights set on him. She has been watching Deacon McCallister and is attracted to him. When he gets captured by an outlaw Miri rides in and saves the day because she is determined that he will be her first. Fortunately, Miri is a master of disguises and has her way with Deacon while undercover at a brothel. I loved Miri's spirit. She took advantage of every opportunity that came her way. She was smart, beautiful, and could handle a whip or gun better than most men. Deacon endured a painful loss and had a conscience that wouldn't allow him to take advantage of a lady in a brothel. Their love story was really sweet and super hot. Once the secret was out Deacon and Miri couldn't get enough of each other.
The storyline moved along at a fast pace. There were very likable secondary characters. Miri and Deacon were characters that were so well written that I immediately wanted the best for them. Both were survivors so it was sort of like cheering on the underdog. I loved the storyline and the characters. I read the book in one day.

I just LOVE Gem' s writing. I love this series and am sad to see it end.
The McCallisters are bounty hunters. Each have had something happen in their past. Deacon comes up against another bounty hunter, little does he know that she's a woman and she's really after him.
Miri has also had a rough upbringing and she's determined to keep one step in front of Deacon.
But fate has a way of coming up and doing the strangest things.
This is an awesome erotic read by Gem. I look forward to more...

Deacon and Miri
This series just keeps getting better. This one was very intriguing along with suspense and drama. Who knew all what could go on back in the 1880's. Of course, there was heat, which I always love, and I did a fair amount of snickering. Perfect combination for me to lose myself in a great book. The stories are stand alone, but reading one just makes me want to read them all, at one time!

I’ve always appreciated real-life historical accounts of women who disguised themselves as men to be able to do what they wanted to do. In Trouble in Disguise, Author Gem Sivad offers up a fictional story of a female bounty hunter disguised as a male. I loved the competition and attraction between Deacon and Miri when he didn’t realize who she really was. Miri is innocent, yet strong. Deacon is protective and tough. Great characters. Great story.

True Identity
Deacon was the last of the McCallister bounty hunters. Beau was an up and coming bounty hunter. Why were the always at odds. Now Miri is a lady that Deacon can't get enough of her. Trouble is he has to find her. Their escapades are something to behold. Enjoy!
