Meridith is a northern city that works at the edge of the Perlous Ocean. Ships at the Port of Meridith deliver goods into the city, and out to foreign destinations. Nationals run the port, and build the economy. Jessica is a courier in Meridith. She travels through the city, and trades used goods, drugs, and currencies. Robin is a waitress at a popular restaurant on Hamilton Avenue. Jessica finds Robin walking to work. She kisses her, and hugs her. Jessica is a capitalist, and Bobby is new to the city. Bobby is a professional thief, and lives with ghosts in the south. Jessica pushes Bobby out of sales of stolen goods on Hamilton Avenue, and returns to trades and her future. Jessica and Robin are romantic friends. They control Meridith with their conscience and willpower. They are lesbian cyberpunks with destinies that come from their intelligence and perseverance. They make their places in the city with love and labor.
