What happens when a million-dollar hoax turns into reality?

Loved how Bass met Penny & they fell for each other. I just was surprised when she came off to him offering to pay him to act as her boyfriend. You know they say never judge a book by its cover. He actually owned businesses & everything but she just thought that he was a dope boy. He learned her that you can't just jump to conclusions about people. They ended unfailing hard for one another. Glad they succeeded &/was able to make a life for themselves. He actually got Penny out of her shell & on to just being herself. Finally she did something for herself & let love guide her. Good book Sol.

Interesting read
This was a good fast pace book. Penny was a real stuck up female who was very judgmental about people just because a person dresses a certain why don't mean they don't have money. Baseem was something else with his crazy self. Like he really did like Penny but her attitude towards him was a turn off. I would love to know what happen to Kha because after Bass whooped his tail there was nothing else said about him. I can't wait to read the son book

I love this book was great read She a great author by Sol
This story is about Penny and Bass love story. Penny and Bass was not looking for love at all it kinda found them. Penny Livingston met Bass Shabazz in Rita-aid pharmacy. Bass thought Penny was Rude, Bogious, Stuck-up, High maintenance, Judgemental,Driven. Bass knew she was way out of his league but he had to have her. At first she wasn't even checking for him she had no time for any men she was to busy she claims I think she was playing hard to get. He ask could he take her out to eat to dinner she refused. Bass was very persistent if it was something he wanted her badly. Penny and Bass characters were very believable and enjoyed their connection to each that didn't realize they had. Penny was Independent, Stubborn, Standoffish, Judgemental, Stuck-up, A Virgin , Free-spirit, Talkative,Strong, Angry Smart,Courageous, Spoiled. Bass was Humble, Demanding, Aggressive, Bold, Go-getter, Handsome, Sexy, Wisdom,Smart, Responsible, Hard-core,Unpredictable, Penny ask Bass can she pay him five-thousand dollars to date and pretend to be her date for the weekend. Bass was shocked he thought she was crazy and told her she didn't know him from a can of paint. She ask could he accepted her terms and told him to meet her at the airport Saturday morning at 6 am. He agreed with terms she told him she was trying to get her mother off back. Also would have to pretend he was a college graduate from Yale. So basically he would have to be something he was not. LIttle did they know love was right around the corner it hit them when the least expected.

Sad it’s over
This was a good story I loved how Bass and Penny’s journey to each other played out. It could be viewed as a love story it’s some funny bits but I like Bass, he’s a man if not so many words, but seems sexxxiii as hell especially his thugged out demeanor ummm. I love an intelligent thug. I really think there was more to their story especially since we find out late that Penny has a medical issue...I think this should have been addressed a little more idk it was a really good story just too short I’d definitely read more if the author decided these characters had more to give us.

Amazing
This book is not your typical dope boy meets food gurl boom I loved how Bass showed Penny that all her assumptions were wrong. And I loved reading the story of Dutch's parents. It is an amazing love story that doesn't have all the backstabbing and drama. It is really amazing and romantic.

Surprising
I enjoyed this story and will definitely continue to read Sol’s work. There were great twist and turns that I never expected and that right there is what makes the difference between a good author and one of the best. Ms. Is definitely in the later range and has found a new fan!

Short but okay…
You don’t get much out of this because it takes place over two weeks and the relationship is not there until the end when it jumps forward almost twenty years later. Other than that Penny was over the top with her judgments and whatever Bass was into we don’t know how that’s going other than that couple paragraphs that it’s brought up.

I absolutely loved this. Who would have thought you could love someone you barely know. I was so sad at the end of the book but glad everything turned out the way it did. This is a definite page turner 🔥🔥

Where I start with this book here. SISTA SOL it down Pointblank. Out freaking standing BASS was off the chain I loved him his character out going exciting sexy old LAWD His CHARMING THUGGING WAYS LOVED THE whole thing about THE Chase ,man he SAW WHAT He wantED he went AND GOT IT all I SAY IS my God HE'S SO SEXY... everything was absolutely right on point ,I was so excited,KEPT A smile on my face.. my heart FULLED to see them come TOGETHER. sister girl this was a great read out fucking standing THIS MY SECOND REVIEW HOPE IT MAKE THE CUT....

I loved the originality in the path that the author took. It made me think of the Harlequin Romances that I used to sneak and read when I was a little girl. The creative spin with the plot being that she was bartered for the sake of her boyfriend and even though it was modern day, she stayed with this man. I have mixed emotions in that on one hand I enjoyed the storyline, but on the other, it was unbelievable.
Despite my thoughts, I would recommend it because it still has the resonance of a refreshing read in that it stands apart from the bulk of the Urban Lit.

Great Book! I read this in 1 day that is how good it was had me hooked from the start. I enjoyed how Bass kept in real 100%. He and Penny were like night and day but complimented each other perfectly. I love how he was able to calm and pipe up when he needed too! Penny was so green and naive to life. Glad they ended up together and can't wait to read more from this author. You did your thing Sol on this book!

This book held me captive until the last few chapters where things fell apart. The ending felt really rushed. It was basically a build up to a relationship and then an epilogue. Bass and Penny never struggled as an official couple. We never get to see their relationship grow. The story could have done without many secondary characters because they didn't move the story forward at all. I was disappointed with this book because it had me until the end.

I loved Penny & Bass chemistry but their son Dutch LAWD!!!!! He's going to be worse than his dad, Lol!!! Definitely a must read!!! I guess I'm patiently waiting on Dutch book!!!

Bass is bae!! I loved him with his cocky behind. I thought Penny was gone let him get away. You made me shed tears when she told him her dilemma. He was so understanding. Glad things worked out in the end. What happened to his bro or did i miss that part? This was a great read. That dang Dutch tho. I can't wait to read his story.

One of the greatest books I've read in a while.
1st I must say Bass is mine! I loved how he had a thug sex appeal but was more than just your average gangster. He was very intelligent, cocky, and a little rude but he was sweet on Penny. Initially, I didn't like Penny but she turned out to be alright with me. I can't wait to read more about Dutch! Like father like son.

Too quick
No real storyline. Penny is in a tight situation and when bass flirts with her she offers him a deal that's not normal. Bass is smitten with penny so he takes her offer and goes all in until she reveals a secret her family knows nothing about. Bass and penny 16 years later and now I can't wait to read about their son that sneak peak was good.

This was a good story and glad she didn't die,needed more drama.And her home girl at work that was sterling the pills was mad because she didn't get the money man.Parents could have had more of a story line.But all in all good read.

Cute love story!
I wish it was more about Bass and Penny! Even tho it was a stand alone it left a lot to be desired. It was a good read and I would recommend it to others. I'm glad this book was based more on their relationship instead his boss status. Good job Sol!
