I don't know what to think of this cluster. I waited for this book price to drop and when it did I bought it. I'm so glad that I did.
For me so many things were just off. the dialogue was juvenile. It didn't read and flow the way it should have.
When I finally started get into the book a huge WTF moment was thrown at us and it threw me off badly. You are you and past you is you and her? it made it very confusing and frankly was shitty really.
you are not past memory you and that shouldn't affect ur thoughts and deeds the way it did.
argh I want to wax about this absurd plot in the book but I'm holding it in. barely...
heavy heavy editing needs to be done on this. the king comes off as a petulant little boy not a 1000 yr old self proclaimed monarch. So too do half the characters actually. Madness

I loved loved this book it kept me interested to the very last word. if this is the genre you like then you will love this book very well written very exciting it's a great book this book is part of a Trilogy and this second book was as good if not better than the first book and I expect the third book to just knock my socks off this is an awesome offer I've read several of her books there are exactly the kind of book I like if you would like any paranormal Romance Books you will absolutely love this author she makes you feel what the characters feel and her writing she's able to just allow you to see a whole different world it's amazing it's like a little movie in my head and I can see and hear all the characters and feel their pain and their happiness it's just it's really wonderful do yourself a favor when it comes out grab a copy

If you love paranormal books then this series is for you! This is a well written story with some great characters that you just fall in love with and though I do recommend that you read soul-mates (book one) first you don't have to!. Complete with witches & vampires, this is a must read, I couldn't put it down & cant wait to read the next one!

Absolutely loved this story!!!! It was phenomenal! I was drawn into it from the very beginning. I had been waiting for this book to come out since I read the first one. This can be read as a standalone but I do recommend reading the first book, it's excellent as well and you will know the characters that much more. This story weaved a spell as I started reading and I never wanted to put the story down but work, sleep and life got in the way. I picked up the story and read it as soon as I could. I wasn't ready for it to be over. I want more of the characters and the story! There is plenty of action and romance and things to keep you intrigued and guessing the entire time. You won't want to put this down. Anna Santos is a fantastic writer and the way that this story is written is so good. I don't want to spoil anything and so am not going to give much plot details but this story picks up not long after the first one and we are quickly drawn in as Jessica tries to figure out what happened to her family coven, who killed them and why, and translating her family grimoire. Jessica knows she has a soul-mate and is trying to find him but doesn't know how. She dreams of her past life with him and knows some details but not enough to make it easy. I loved the way that things developed. It keeps you glued to the pages but nothing feels drawn out, or takes too long. The sex is explicit when we get there but it completely fits the story and just adds to it for me. I'm sooo excited for the next book and to see where things go and what's going to happen next.

One of the best books I've read, the storyline is amazing, there is something that have you so cautivated, nothing is missing, is just amazing, I love how the characters grow with every line and how we can know and understand them throught the pages, the way how you fall in love with the couples that's more than amazing, I RECOMEND THIS BOOK FOR ANYONE that love a really good book with mazing story line, mature characters!!! If this is what you like then YOU HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK!

I enjoyed reading it from the beginning. The way the Author wrote the story makes my adrenalin goes high fast..I am very much in love with Marcus and Jessica characters and how their supernatural love goes along, blended with super thrilled moments only can be found in Anna Santos book.. Great story, awsome characters! will certainly recommend this book for others to read..As for me, I just can't wait to read the next book!

I really enjoyed reading this book.. it's nice to see a strong female character take control of her own life and Jessica is exactly that.. i loved reading about her in the 1st book and now watching get the ending she deserves... Lastly who doesn't love a hot guy with an amazing personality.

The cover is awesome and eye-catchy just like for book 1. In this one, it’s not just about Anna and Shane but her witchy friend, Jessica and her soulmate. The author’s quality of writing has improved with this continuation which made it a really fun read.
I really liked on how the author span Jessica’s relationship. It felt like it would be a challenge to organize everything-especially the times when Jessica lost her memories. Also, it was fun getting to know Anna’s family and get glimpses of what’s to come with the whole revenge thing. This book ends a cliffhanger so it’s a good thing that there book 3 is available to read.
Oh, and we learn more about the identity of the guy that Anna and Jessica want revenge on. It’s twisted, especially after we meet Valentina.
I recommend this novel for those who like reading about soulmates, romance, witches, and reincarnation.

This book is the second instalment in the series and ends on a cliffhanger so be prepared.
Although I did enjoy reading this book, I also found it really frustrating and confusing
Because at the start you are following Anna on her quest, but the first book was about Anna???
Then you get introduced to Jessica, Anna's friend who is a witch looking for her mate. So then you know that it's about Jessica, but it just keeps throwing new characters at you all of the time and trying to remember who's who and who's related to who gets really confusing.
Don't even ask me who's mated to who
I did have to put it down and come back to it as it did start to annoy me a little as some people were introduced it seems just for the sake of it.
I also don't like a cliffhanger ending, I much prefer the book to end, I know this is in a series but I still like the book to end, this is why I will stay away from a series.

Just when i thought i could not fall any deeper in love with the characters in the immortal love series i read Jessica and Marcus's story, the highs and lows, she is looking or her mate ever since she has been reincarnated, he just wants to cherish his dead mates memory, and his feelings for this young witch scare the hell out of him as he fears that in accepting her as his mate he will lose Isobel forever.
There are so many hidden facts in this story that make sense of stuff mentioned before that capture and hold your attention, Jessica is a powerful witch in love with an old vampire king, but their past keeps coming back to trouble them, will their love stand the test of time again or will they be torn apart, you have to read this book to find out but be warned this is only part 1 so you had better read the next one too

I very much enjoyed this paranormal romance. There are lots of intriguing characters and a very well developed storyline. I liked that it kept me guessing. I am not going to ruin any surprises in the review.

It has put her life in jeopardy. Jessica is a powerful witch who will do what she needs to keep herself and those she cares about safe.
There are lots of great supporting characters as well. While it is part of a series, you can jump in without any problems but it will make you want to go back and read the first one which I recommend as well.

The Witch and the Vampire King by Anna Santos is the second book in the Immortal Love series. At the beginning of this book, Jessica arrives on the doorstep of her friends Anna and Shane while being chased by a European Vampire Kings vampire soldier death squad who want the grimoire she took and her death. Jessica defeats them and takes them captive with the help of Anna, Shane, and the American vampire prince Eric. Eric invites Jessica to stay at the palace and use his father’s library to help her translate the grimoire. From this point on the story involves lost loves, forever mates, and lots of hidden secrets revealed. This is an amazing story that made for an exciting suspense filled book that kept me reading until the very end. I fell madly in love with the plot and all the characters in this book. The Witch and the Vampire King is a 5++ star paranormal romance.

An ok read
Let me start by saying the story is a good one. The editing is not so good and there are quite a few inconsistencies within the story (at one point Marcus is sitting without a shirt on and in the next sentence Jessie is removing his shirt...lots of these instances). Alot of the story feels forced, like the author was trying to come up with words to make a quota. Way to much re-explainjng of insignificant background details while much more important to the story details go left unaddressed. The characters don't speak like normal people. The thousand year old vampire royalty I can understand, but those born in the last 25 years certainly wouldn't converse like they do. Again, alot comes across as forced. Not natural interacting amongst characters.

Well she did it again. Anna Santos continued to keep me hooked. This is the second book in the Immortal Love Series. We were introduced to Jessica in the first book as the hybrid Annabelle's witch friend. Now we follow Jessica on her own journey. As she is trying to find who her soul mate is, a man she dreams about. But there is so much more to it. I don't want to spoil anything. Every part of this ride is so much fun. I couldn't put this book down. Kept me hooked from beginning to the end. And when I started to think I had the story all figured out I was proven so wrong. Fans of the first book will love this second book just as much, if not more. I encourage fans of a great story to read this series. I can't wait to read more!

Amazing storyline.
As a child I always loved fantasies and when I became older reading the ones that were not sugar-coated thrilled me. Now we have a talent writer who are taking fantasy and writing in such a way that they fit into the modern-day way of thinking this is just brilliant. The character has such depth that you cannot help getting lost in their story. With-in this story of a witch and vampire love, you will find reincarnation, immortal love, soul mates and revenge this paranormal will take you on one twisted journey. Jessica is a determined young woman. She has dreamed about her soul-mate, a vampire king, and she has searched all her life to find him. Even if she does, she is not sure she can convince him that he is hers. She also is looking for whoever killed her coven family and she herself is in danger. Will she find her vampire love? Will she find those she is looking for? Can she escape the dangerous vampire chasing her for the grimoire she stole?
This was an excellent book in the overall Immortal Love story. The author is wonderful with bringing her characters to life and making them very real to the reader. The emotions are all out there, touching the reader and reminding us of the feelings the characters are experiencing. Very powerful stuff! I definitely recommend this series!

This series to me is getting better. Although the characters seem old school and stiff I gather from the background we are given (Marcus is old and been dying for 200 years and Jessie is a private school or special school hidden away), so I kinda can flow with that. The author though actually seemed a little more comfortable with her story, while still wordy the plot is strong and enjoyable with loads of twist and turns and unexpected things happening it does whisk you away. The ending though is abrupt and still leaves questions where the first books didn't so that is a new twist as well. I wonder what other twists we will be met with in the next book of the series which I will be reading.

I loved this book . It is an excellent addition to the series. The book is well written and the story and characters are well developed. I love the continuity of the characters from the previous book and seeing their relationships prosper and grow. The story was action packed and full of twists and turns. It had suspense, intrigue, emotion, hot chemistry and romance. I’d highly recommend this book and the previous book in this series!! (You MUST read them in order to get the complete story!!) I look forward to the next book in the series!!

This story was great - a lot of was going on from the first page. During reading we get a lot of questions that are slowly answered during revealing everything. Why Jessica was in Italy? What had happen to her? And the most important - why her family was killed by Alaric from book one and what is going on with vampire King - Marcus. I can tell that most of answeres were really surprising which made this read even better!

Funny interesting paranormal story with witches, vampires, hybrids, shifters. This book has true love, soulmates, reunions, reincarnation, adventure and action. The story plot is exciting with a lot of twist and turns and ending which still leaves questions. I couldn't put it down. Well written book with enjoyable characters. I can't wait to see what will happen in third story of this series. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

She hope he will bring her happiness and erase all the hard times she has induced in her life. This one had me hooked with the title so there was no way I was not going to read this book and I am so greatful as I feel so in love and can’t wait for the next one.
