Weirdly British for a Point book, and with quite a boring ending, but I didn't hate it? Perhaps it was the 'wild excitement' of having relatable locations and words like 'pub' cropping up in what is usually a US book, but I think I enjoyed this, despite myself.

Sarah Wood is a model turned actor, making her début in a film alongside her childhood crush, Luke. She managed to get her job for her brother Jon who works on the set. Sarah initially seems disappointed with Luke, he comes across as a total prat, but she dates him anyway which strains her relationship with Jon. Early on in the book, a crew member dies, then a few near-death situations happen, but the film carries on without investigation from the police, or any audit on the film's safety procedures. I wasn't convinced this would be a realistic series of events, but the real negative is that the book seems to be written without any sense of suspense or drama. The characters seem to brush off these events as mere coincidences, and the plot just plods along. I was expecting the reveal of the criminal to be a twist, but it was the guy that I suspected from the start, and there is another reveal at the end which also was predictable. Overall, the plot is a bit dull, and there's not enough drama to keep things interesting; it's very underwhelming.
