Currently, he is employed with the state of Nevada in law enforcement, and enjoys traveling, especially to Rome and Vatican City where many of the settings for his novels take place.
Rick Jones is also an avid writer and the creator of the Vatican Knight series (VATICAN KNIGHTS, SHEPHERD ONE and The ISCARIOT AGENDA), and the psychological thriller, THE MAN WHO CAST TWO SHADOWS.
He lives in Las Vegas with his two mini schnauzers, Wrangler and Hobo.

Perfect
Wanted to read Kimbell's origin story before l started the series. OMG, could not put the book down. Love Kimbell, he had a sense of honor, a deep sense empathy and soul. Someone that seems dark but actually is the light you walk towards knowing you will be protected and safe.

Great read, but instead of being book 8 in the series, this should be book 1. We get to see how Kimball became who he became.

Great read!
Good story that back filled Mumbai's relationship with his dad. Would have liked it to go a little further and cover his time in the military. Perhaps I another book?

Very good story and as I had not started reading these books until the later stories, it was nice to catch up on the real reason why he joined the Vatican Knights and it gave me the pieces I was missing, so I can now continue to read the other books with more knowledge. I really like these books as they are how I imagine the Popes Guardians to be like and how they are well equipped and have no fear and do their jobs without thinking about their own safety. The books are so well written I read through them to quickly and soon I shall of finished the series and I shall be then stuck for what to read. But these books are definitely worth reading. Recommend to anyone. Great stories

The story started story introducing all of the characters and their role. Though once "Kimball" got angry enough and found his "talent" the story took off in "Kimball Hayden" and Rick Jones style! A great read to learn about Kimball origins.

The Dark Advent filled in a lot of missing holes in the story of how Kimball became who is is. The entire story is about Kimball as he was growing up and the events an people who caused him to become the man who will eventually become on the best of the Vatican Knights.
