These Ernie and Maude books always contain humor and life lessons, and I love the way the author pokes gentle fun at the not-so-invincible superheroes who are found to have plenty of fears and concerns of their own. In this installment, the Baxter contingent heads to a conference where they hang out with old friends and new recruits Ernie and Maude get some training. Maude feels a bit left out since she is, after all, a sheep, and she can't think of any other heroic sheep. But Maude is the only one of the superheroes to solve the mystery of Chicken George. Young readers will enjoy the positive messages in this title, and older readers will smile at the humorous elements.

Perfect for the 5-10 crowd Extraordinary Ernie and Marvelous Maud will appeal to kids who love superheroes or graphic novels. The Greatest Sheep in History sees Ernie and Maud off to the superhero conference, where they will face a mysterious (and not very scary) villain. Ernie also has to do a school project on his hero and Maud wonders if there *are* any Great Sheep in history.
