This time, I didn’t even blush at the language.
I’m having a bit of a bad run with psycho chicken Mum’s and Cleat Catcher had one of the best. She’s not as nasty as some of the others but she is in her own head when it comes to thinking she knows what’s best for her child. Bringing in ex-boyfriends as a nice surprise was tasteless and crass. Considering Mum was of the snooty, snotty variety it was definitely her thinking that her choice of man was better that her daughters. Now, see my problem with all this is that I haven’t had a lot of experience with Mum’s who take pleasure in their daughter's unhappiness. Oh, I’ve definitely seen the Mum who thinks she knows what’s best (hey Mummy dearest, LOVE YOU!!) but in my experience, Mum’s try to take away conflict, pain and unhappiness. It shouldn’t have taken an ultimatum to stop her foisting the ex on her daughter. Sorry, but I’ll have to take a point away from Missy Moo (Nikki) too. She should not have let her family treat the man she loved so badly. She shouldn’t have left him to deal with the ex, knowing it could end up similar to a pistol duel at dawn. Anyways, I’m hoping my next book doesn’t have any meddling by Mummy dear, because I’m way, way over them. Pull your head in Mum.
Seriously, this book was an absolute crack up. Yes, there were some serious bits and a couple of times that a tear hovered on my eyelash, but most of it had me busting a gut laughing. The first book in the series was a little OTT and I struggled with the swearing for the sake of swearing. In this case, the authors pulled the reigns in a little. Yes, the talk is feral, the swearing is in abundance and the sexual connotations aplenty. This time, it was in context. I got it and never once rolled my eyes at it.
The sexy times were…WoW!! These two really, really love each other and like to show and tell it often. Braden’s dirty mouth borders on offensive, but Nikki really gets off on it so you can’t help but take it in its stride. Each to their own and all that jazz, but who am I to judge what works for others.
Now, there were two characters who stole the show for me. The first was lesbian, sex bomb, Kasey, who we met in Cleat Chaser as she is Braden's best mate's sister. This chick is one of the funniest characters I have EVER read. Her mouth is FOUL and I mean REALLY, REALLY FOUL. She’s by far the worst out of all of the characters we meet male or female. Her advice to Braden was hilarious and when she took him shopping to buy a present for Nikki, I had tears from laughing so hard. The second show stealer was newbie Cyrus or Cyrano as he’s also known. I won’t tell you any more about him because you should read it first hand to appreciate him. I really, really want a story for him.
Now, Cleat Catcher is not all about sex. There's a storyline and some dramas for the couple. Most of the time it was on the outside, but when it was between the two of them I never once doubted their love for each other. To me, that is a HUGE WIN. Isn’t that what we all want in a relationship? When the chips are down we want to know that our loved ones will still love us after we’ve taken a swing (figuratively not literally, of course) or been under attack. It’s all good.
Cleat Catcher was a definite win for me and I think the author really stepped up to the plate (pun intended) with this story. I loved seeing the dynamics of a baseball team and I really got a kick out of seeing big blokes sucking up when they’ve stuffed up and done wrong. I’m definitely keen to read more from these authors in the future.

Braden Bradford was the catcher and team captain for the Ravens. Being a team player, he was always thinking of the team's benefit to the point of neglecting his own welfare. He had to endure the stress of both his career and his evolving relationship.
Nikki Graves was a flirtatious cleat chaser. With her good looks, she had unlimited options of admirer and loved every second of it until she finally met The One. But life sometimes hit one with a curve ball and forced them to re-evaluate what's the most important thing in life.
After the fun craziness of previous book, I'm glad to be reacquainted with the gang. I still don't know anything about baseball, but still enjoyed this one anyway lol!
Despite being a fun character, Braden was a very responsible person. I love seeing the support and respect from his teammates. And he likes spanking and that always a plus in my book :p
Nikki was the crazy one. Her unfiltered mouth was quite entertaining. I like seeing her interactions with people at work and at home.
Like the first book, the secondary characters were very entertaining. Kasey was as foul mouthed and as horny as ever. Cyrano was amusing and Grady really grew on me haha!
Cleat Catcher is a delightful story of a couple navigating their relationship amidst career and personal issues. It's a good choice if you like a sports themed, quick fun read.

It’s LIVE, the story you’ve been waiting to read by Sloane Howell and only Sloane Howell. Oh wait, there’s an unknown author too. That makes sense, because I kept thinking to myself, “Wow, I don’t think I’ve read anything as incredible as this male pov, but what in the ever-loving hell was he doing on these female chapters? It’s like it’s not even him.”
I knew there was a reason for it, seeing as Sloane is the author equivalent of Zeus, Thor, Leonidas, Batman, Maximus Decimus Meridius, JFK, Dumbledore, and Sauron all rolled into one. Now, this unknown author’s chapters might be the equivalent of a monkey shit fight at the zoo, but rest assured Sloane Howell saves this story and delivers a heart-felt, dramatic, totally satisfying experience despite the help. Therefore, I thusly award this book 5 stars based solely on the fact that Sloane's name appears on the cover, which he probably modeled for as well, allegedly...that’s the rumor and stuff.

Nikki Graves; a spoiled daughter who comes from a wealthy family has always been fascinated baseball players becoming a cleat catcher follower haha. She falls into a three year relationship with the catcher of a baseball team but fails to let her family in on her relationship afraid of what they may think of it. However; their relationship was super hot and steamy. Nikki didn't have any complaints when it came to pleasure.
Braden Bradford; as a team captain and catcher of the Ravens has been struggling a bit with a knee injury. He fails to let his team know and specially his girlfriend Nikki. He loves her too much to freak her out; the thing he doesn't know is that all she is looking from him is honestly. Braden is put in a situation he has never been before. He always assumed that Nikki knew how much she means to him only because their relationship in bed works so well and living together as well. However; he had to open up to her before he loses one of the most important people in his life.
This was such a funny read between Braden's sister who just cracked me up the entire time and the best friends I enjoyed this fast, sexy read. If you are looking for a sexy funny sports read this book is for you. I loved how everyone stood up for each other, family, friends and players. This story was super enjoyable.

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. If that's true, then Sloane Howell is the greatest flatterer that ever lived. His flattery is legendary, truly. However, despite his pathetic efforts at writing with the same wit and grace I possess, he falls flat yet again.
If I were to describe his chapters, I would say thusly: They are akin to that time you went to the doctor with that ailment, and the doctor treated you, and you thought his advice seemed sound, but on the way out, you saw him eating a bale of hay, because, as it turns out, your doctor is actually:
Same principle here. Sloane may understand the English language to a small degree, but after that, he's really just a llama pretending to be a writer.
But just as his prose is lowly and simple, mine counteracts it by being fluid and melodious. That's why, yet again, I have granted Sloane zero stars, and myself ten stars, which works out to an even five.

Braden Bradford is the star catcher and team captain for the Ravens baseball team. For most of his life, all Braden has known is baseball, but with a subpar season, getting traded is becoming a worry. To further complicate his future, Braden has to contend with a possible game changer.
“Baseball isn’t an exact science. It’s an art.”
Nikki Graves is a die-hard baseball fan and cleat chaser. Despite being raised by upper crust parents, Nikki has a foul mouth and aspires to be a magazine editor. While trying to forge her own choices, Nikki’s parents seem to be her worst enemy at times, but she knows Braden is her man in every way.
“You like being my little slut?” His mouth was at my ear. I moaned and spread my legs even wider. “Answer me, Nikki. Are you my little slut?”
Braden and Nikki have been dating for six months. During this time, it’s become obvious that they are both committed for the long haul, but in order to move forward they must act like a team. For Braden, opening up with serious issues is difficult for him because he doesn’t want to burden Nikki. As they encounter these obstacles, they learn to be more communicative which leads them home.
“You’re my life, Nikki. Not the game. Not my career. You.”
Braden’s character is a stand-up guy who works and plays hard. His love for Nikki never falters even during his most insecure moments. Additionally Braden’s humor is unrelenting and I felt like I was part of his conversations at all times. When Braden takes Kasey to a high end department store to purchase a gift, I was dying from her antics. Lol!
As for Nikki, I like her quirky personality and ability to turn the most mundane conversation into something scandalously filthy. Since Cleat Chaser, she has proven to be a true friend and solid partner.
Of course, Kasey’s filter is non-existent and I loved it! I’m not sure what Celia and Sloane have planned for her, but it will be a wild ride!
In Cleat Catcher, the co-authoring team of Celia Aaron and Sloane Howell have once again shown how well they work together. The alternating POVs and chapters for Braden and Nikki are cohesive yet still have their own distinctive voices. The humor is endless and the sexy times are oh so hot! This book is solid line drive right down the middle!

4 'Perfect Catch' Stars!

A book that makes me smile, and makes my heart swell, and makes my day after I’ve read the last word, in my opinion, is a good book. No, scratch that. A great book.
People often think that after the proverbial "I love yous" were exchanged that it is an automatic happily ever after. But what happens during the relationship?
This! This! I miss this kind of read. The hows of being in a relationship. The struggles, the kinks you have to go through, and everything that will make you think no matter what you will encounter in the future, it will still be a happy-ever-after kind of ending.
I love Braden and Nikki. They are mostly the same people. What I meant is that, you can never know where the other end and the other begins because they're like a perfect match. You are just in for something that you cannot stop because you just can't help yourself but love the both of them.
This is a light read that I'd definitely recommend with its kinks and hard tents and smooth slide. To Sloane and Celia, I love love love this book! Not because I love you two but because this book made me smile and believe and hope. It touched me, and for that, thank you for a great read!
P.S. The Cyrano I know was from Cyrano de Bergerac (play). I love the Korean version though, tv series and movie. *wink* lol!

Braden was so lovable in Cleat Chaser, I was excited he was going to get his own book! I ended up really liking Nikki too. I didn't particularly feel one way or the other about her after Cleat Chaser but she definitely won me over with this book.

Apologies.Braden was still just as lovable as the first time we met him, though him and Nikki experienced a few ups and downs throughout this book. Braden was a leader on his team and we got to see him inspire and encourage his teammates; it provided a whole extra dimension to the character which made him even more enjoyable to read.
With this win, we'd be on our way to the playoffs, and after that, anything was possible—the pennant, the World Series, maybe even the Gryffindor House Cup.Braden’s been all about the game for most of his life but with Nikki in the picture he has to learn to be a partner in a relationship. His biggest obstacle seems to be his hesitancy to share his problems with Nikki, she wants to help him out anyway she can but he needs to let her know what’s going on so she can help.
While Nikki is trying to get Braden to open-up more about some of the bumps in his career path, she’s also dealing with her parents who seem to be less than pleased with her choice of boyfriend. Her mom is plotting and planning to get her back together with the Prince of Paper and her dad doesn’t seem to offer much help.
"You and I are never going to get back together." She stomped her foot. "So stop trying to make fetch happen!"Nikki’s got a bit of a foul mouth on her but it keeps things interesting. Plus, she’s a fan of Braden’s spanking and dirty talk which is always a bonus ;)
Mom was craftier than a seventy-year-old at a scrapbooking convention.I was glad to be back with the Cleat Chaser crowd, Easton, Kyrie, Kasey, and even the creeper extraordinaire Grady. This was a fun sexy read and it fit right in with my College World Series watching! Baseball all around :D

I am probably the only person who went batshit crazy when I first found out Celia and Sloane were writing this book. I could not contain my happiness and when I received this ARC, I was so excited to go back into the world of Easton, Kyrie, Nikki, Braden and Kasey. Cleat Catcher focuses on Nikki and Braden's relationship. We get to delve deeper into their relationship and also get to know them better.
Braden is an amazing baseball player but after playing badly all season, he finds his career on the line. Nikki is an assistant and finds herself writing a story which later she is climbing slowly up in her career. Will Braden choose his career and let Nikki drop everything to be with him? Will he compromise choose love over his career?
I truly loved Cleat Catcher a lot. I tried to savor this book because I was devouring this book so fast like it was crack. It was light and a book that just made me dmile throughout the book. It had the right the romance without being overly cheesy and it had so much humour that I laughed so hard my insides began to hurt. It was good. Brilliantly written by the dynamic duo, Celia Aaron and Sloane Howell, Cleay Catcher was a story that captivated my soul and just made me feel like I was flying in a cloud of happiness. I was mesmerised.
What I loved more in Cleat Catcher was the characters. They just made this book so damn good. To go back into their world was just amazing. It felt as if I never left. Their chemistry so unquestionable and believable, I felt completely comfortable and just simply enjoyed.
Braden was an amazing hero. He was a dirty talker. Omg, his filthy mouth made me combust. He was caring, funny and just so lovable. With him and his struggles, he could be closed off and he simply withheld information.
I loved Nikki more. Ambitious and truly driven, she truly was the perfect contrast to Braden. Loved her funny and strong attitude which made like her even more.
Cleat Catcher was truly a fantastic book to read that truly made you think sometimes you got to let the person you love in and solve problems together.

So it’s been about five months since Cleat Chaser and The Great Bucket List it inspired. In all that time Prince has died, Britain has left the building and Hodor happened. However, The Great Bucket List remains woefully uncompleted. Donald Trump still scares me … do y’all think his peen is orange too? Also, do you think Malia suffers from permanent Cheeto-coochy as a result?
Anyway I haven’t moved to America, I didn’t become a Cleat Chaser, I haven’t found a baseball player, I haven’t had hot sex with said baseball player, I haven’t gotten drunk with either Celia or Sloane and I haven’t used “Jackson Pollock a pair of flop rockets” in conversation but I HAVE learned some shit about the great game of baseball (although, World Series? Still a mystery…)
Here’s what I’ve learned: Baseball is fucking filthy
Charging the mound – Charging the mound is assault by a batter against the pitcher, usually the result of being hit by a pitch or nearly being hit by a pitch. As I’m explaining this to you all, I still have no idea what any of it means but this can also means intentional anal sex. I know what THAT means. So assault which is intentional. Like the kind of intentional assault I suffered at the hands of Sloalia (yup, I shipped them. #TeamSloalia). I’m not saying I was anally penetrated by these two but I definitely felt exhausted as if I were. Partly because I started reading this book late at night and I couldn’t put it down, but also because my body is exhausted from laughing so hard. Cleat Catcher is ridiculous and hilarious and genius. The situations, the banter, the one-liners, the lesbian sister… the hits just kept on coming until I was left a bruised and battered mess on the floor.
Backdoor slider – A pitch that appears to be out of the strike zone, but then breaks back over the plate. Also anal sex. This time unexpected. And although there were no unexpected romance explosions exploding in the wrong hole there was a lot of other unexpected shit that happened in this book. Like the fact that it made me cry. I laughed until I cried because obviously this book was hilarious but that was not unexpected. What was unexpected is that I cried like I was watching The Lion King; like everything is just so fucking cute and sweet and emotional and somewhere Elton John is singing about feeling the love and you’re just so goddamned full of the warm and fuzzies that it spills out of your eyes like you’re allergic to cats and the world has suddenly been taken over by pussy. Yes, that. Through all of the hilarity and ridiculous shit that happened in this book, it also delivers on all the feels. It was sweet and cute and romantic. There were pretty things said and epic grand gestures and that ending… GAH!
Home run- A home run is scored when the ball is hit in such a way that the batter is able to circle the bases and reach home safely in one play without any errors being committed by the defensive team in the process. Also sex. Of the regular, non-anal, expected variety. Of which there was a lot in this book. A lot of hot sex. But even without all of that there is so much to love about Cleat Catcher. These two hit the perfect, flawless home run with this book. They gave us angst and tension and humour and sweetness and hot guys and DIY waxing tips and it is entertaining and exciting and a fucking good time and everything about this is just perfect so just read the damn book!
Fisted – I swear to fucking god this is an actual baseball term. It’s what happens when a batter swings at a pitch that is inside and the ball hits the bat close to his fists. Or the act of inserting a fist into a body cavity or orifice. Or getting the short end of the stick, getting a raw deal. More importantly it is the extreme of getting fucked, screwed or getting the shaft, involves more discomfort on the part of the fistee. Which is what I feel. Shafted, screwed, fucked and unfairly treated. These two books form part of The Cleat Chaser Duet. Which means there are only two. This means no more are forthcoming. This means life has lost all meaning. I haven’t been this sad since Hodor held the goddamned door. I haven’t felt this empty since Britain left.

Have you ever found an author who just gets it? Well look no further for two of them. When these two get together magic happens, I swear. Erotic romances "Golden Couple" have done it again. This is the follow up to Cleat Chaser and it did not disappoint. At times, it was so freaking funny, then full of angst. Cleat Catcher tells the story of Braden and Nikki. We met them originally as the best friends of Easton and Kyrie. While this is a standalone, you should totally read Cleat Chaser first. I can only hope they write another book because they left it open and everyone deserves a happy ending.

Just a short sports romance with Nik snd Braden from Cleat Chaser. They met first and have been together awhile so their relationship felt much more developed than Easton and Kyrie's. Same crazy heat with some over the top intimacy and humor...I admit I blushed often here! I really could have read 100 more pages of this crazy duo as they were quite entertaining! So not much angst or deep stor but still worth the trip to this ballpark!

Braden is a leader. He knows how to encourage people to be their best. That being said, he doesn't always make the best choices when it comes to his own life. He will boost you up, even while he is falling apart inside.
Easton, his best friend, is the pitcher for the Ravens. He is the ultimate alpha male. His loyalty and respect for Braden is immense.
I loved this book, and this duet. I don't know much about baseball, but I definitely love reading about the players!

I'm beginning to think that this is the norm when it comes to Celia and Sloane. If it is?!... I'm sold! I will read anything these two collaborate on! The laughs and hot, steamy sex scenes continued on in Cleat Catcher.
This time it is Nikki and Braden's turn. Nikki was a self-proclaimed cleat chaser! Growing up with the love for the game, it was no wonder she developed a fondness for the men who wear those tight, asset enhancing baseball pants! But once she met Braden, that was it for her... No more cleat chasing! Nikki is feisty and has one of the dirtiest mouths I've heard on a woman, only to be outdone by Kasey (Easton's sister). I just loved Nikki, her say anything attitude is awesome and had me thinking we need more people like that in the world. She is such a loyal friend and was just totally loveable.

Nikki and Braden are fantastic characters with unique personalities. The story begins with their six month anniversary where nothing quite goes to plan. The plot centres around both Nikki's family and Braden's career, our beloved couple being thrown curveballs.
The plot keeps you hooked with side-splitting humour, earth shattering sexy time and heart warming emotion throughout.

This book 2 in The Cleat Chaser Duet. We have Niki and Braden story. When these to met it changed them both and now they can't see Thier live without the other, and honestly I can't either, but live has a, way of throwing obstacles at you, but if the love is strong enough you can make it, right?. I truly enjoy this series we get returning characters from Bk 1 but in this book this couple is already together we don't have the cat and mouse (don't get me wrong I like it to),but we get a solid relationship that struggles with real life situations, it's real and I loved it, and of course it's sexy as hell too.

I loved reading all the hilarious and wicked thoughts that Braden had along with all his politically IN-correct dialogue. I thought that Nikki was also great, but I fell in love with Braden. He's an AWESOME book boyfriend. I think the characters remind me a little of Tara Sivec's characters from her Chocolate Lovers series - Drew and Jenny, but both Braden and Nikki were smarter and less clueless than Drew and Jenny.
I actually borrowed this in KU, but I'm thinking I should buy the book because this will definitely be a book that I re-read over and over again.

I floved, floved, gloved this book. It had it all. I chewed the nails a little, I was cross a little, I was excited a LOT and I laughed more than I have laughed in a long while. It never ceases to amaze me, that I just get more and more entertainment out of the books from these authors. Their incredible ability to spin the most enjoyable tale is impressive. This book was really worth the read and I just hate that each one has to have an ending. I could read these authors' words for eternity.

This week I will be reviewing the much anticipated sequel to "Cleat Chaser" by the smut-writing duo of Celia Aaron and Sloane Howell. This story follows Ravens catcher Braden Bradford and his girlfriend, already in progress, Nikki Graves. Things start to get a bit crazy after the couples six-month anniversary. One thing that goes right, oh so right for the couple, is their hot as balls sex life. The couple have to deal with changes outside of the bedroom as they both have a change in their careers. Throw in a judgemental family and you've got yourself a recipe for some hot as hell make-up sex down the line.
This book has surpassed any exceptions I could of had for it. I'm no prude, but there were moments that had me blushing with joy one minute and then laughing out loud the next. I cannot remember the last book that had me actually laughing out loud. Celia and Sloane have amazing writing chemistry and have delivered yet another home run . I only wish that I could give this one more than five stars. It quickly sucks you back into the lives of these ballplayers and their women. This is some of the hottest sex I've ever read....if I was teaching a course on how to write sex scenes this would be the freaking textbook. Well done yet again, Mrs. Aaron and Mr. Howell. I tip my Ravens hat to you .

I cannot remember the last book that had me actually laughing out loud. Celia and Sloane have amazing writing chemistry and have delivered yet another home run . I only wish that I could give this one more than five stars. It quickly sucks you back into the lives of these ballplayers and their women. This is some of the hottest sex I've ever read....if I was teaching a course on how to write sex scenes this would be the freaking textbook. Well done yet again, Mrs. Aaron and Mr. Howell. I tip my Ravens hat to you .

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a honest review.
I was looking forward to this book as I truly enjoyed reading Cleat Chaser where we were first introduced to Braden and Nikki. I loved Cleat Chaser so I had high expectations for Cleat Catcher and it surpassed all expectations.
Of course, this book is hilarious as expected since Sloane Howell and Celia Aaron most definitely know how to deliver the laughs. There are several pop culture references that had me laughing out loud, I even had to read a few excerpts to my husband.
What I wasn't quite expecting was the more serious angles of the story line but it worked perfectly. I felt like I had an emotional investment with these characters and loved how everything played out.
I also feel it is important to mention that the editing and formatting of this book was very well done. This allows the reader to have a distraction free reading experience which I truly appreciate.

I Love and enjoy reading Cleat Catcher.
It's an Amazing book it's funny and it's Perfect
I just want to slap Nikki's Mom lol she made me soo mad
I absolutely Love Nikki's and Braden relationship...it wasn't perfect but the Love for each other made them work their issues out
And then the ending was Awesome and Perfect. Cleat Catcher doesn't disappoint

As a Virginia gal without a baseball team, I adopted the Baltimore 'Os' Orioles as a child and even went to the legendary Cal Ripken's last game. I just love a good baseball game. I thought I adored Easton from Cleat Chaser, and I do. But Braden...I'm glad he's good at catching, because I fell for him. Hard. And deep.

I was the leader—the goddamn shot caller, and these whores needed to get their shit together.
Braden Bradford, catcher for the Ravens and Nikki Graves, on-her-way editor at Style and Substance, struggling to shit life throws at you while being in love.
This was a light easy read about the ups and downs of being in a relationship without the much needed communication. While the sex was scorching hot and super sweet at the same time, Braden needed to open more to Nikki.
Braden was a lot of things—star athlete, decent dresser, funny, smart, hot as fuck—but far and away his best attribute was his kissing ability. You’ve never been kissed until you’ve been kissed by Braden Bradford.
It was no secret I was a cleat chaser through and through. But I’d never been caught up in a player until I’d met Braden.
We also get to read about Easton & Kyrie and of foulmouthed Kasey. Again, I loved reading about the bromance between Braden and Easton and loved Coach with his hilarious one-liners.
Sweet story with an even sweeter ending for Easton & Kyrie and Braden & Nikki.
But... Celia Aaron, I would love a book 3 with Kasey. And wouldn't it be awesome if she ends up with Ben??? The convinced lezzy falls for a guy!!

I am such a sap. When I finished reading this I just sat there with a cheesy grin on my face because of the way it ended :)
This was hot, sexy,and funny, but it had some depth to it. Braden and Nikki have some serious issues to work through because Braden's career is not where he thinks it is and in typical male fashion he shuts everyone down. I liked that he wasn't a jerk about it. He's one of those that ignores what's happening to him to make sure everyone else is happy. When he and Nikki finally get on the same page, things were PERFECT.
I'll just say that Kasey cracked me up! I have a sailor's mouth, but she puts me to shame. I may have taken some notes ;)
