After the age of thirty, Martha realized that her life as a terran was not what it was cracked up to be. Knowing that there was more to life, she embarked on a journey that has tested her resolve, heart, and soul many times over. It continues to do so at this very moment.

She’s astounded that anyone takes any author bio seriously. Why would anything that’s written here be believed when authors are known to invent stuff out of thin air? Martha likes to thank the ether and her higher-self for the enlightenment and odd sense of wonderment about life, the universe, and what exactly she was thinking when she wrote that one obscure story that no one has yet to read, but her husband has heard about.

The oddity of society, particularly the book community has flabbergasted her, making her curious about how a em-dash or ellipses can make people think that AI had any hand in aiding an author to write. She could be sharing complete truths, complete lies, or a mixture in this very bio as you continue to read this. Why are you still reading this, she asks in your ear as if she’s sitting right next to you, right now? Does anyone really care if she’s telling the truth, I mean, come on, she’s an author for God sake? Books are written to pull you from reality with fantasy, though there is much of reality in books to some extent. Where was she going with this thought? I don’t know, don’t remember, so let us continue. What were we discussing? Oh, right, Martha Sweeney’s author bio.

She would like to sum up with this single thought: believe what you want about anything, even her. Beliefs are just thoughts you keep thinking. Whether you think you’re wrong or right, you’re right either way, so why should she care what’s written in her bio because we both know you just want a story that makes you feel. That’s the purpose of books or any form of entertainment. It’s to feel something. She hopes your emotions are kicked in the ass one way or another. If you like a character, she’s content. If you hate a character, she’s content. All in all, she made you feel.

If you’re still reading this, Martha is quite impressed and is giving you an astral projected hug and hopes to meet you in person one day, or not. According to Martha, we’ve already meet if you understand entanglement.

If you are literally thinking, or saying out loud WTF?, Martha wants you to know that very same thought has entered her mind at least twenty times while dictating to me what to write. Whom am I, you ask, that’s not important. My roll is simply to write Martha’s author bio and let you know that she’s a multi-genre author, so there’s a chance you might be interested and like at least one of her currently published books. Enjoy, or not, that’s up to you.

Brilliant! Brilliant! Brilliant!!!
I have been not so patiently wanting for this book and boy, oh boy, was it worth the wait!
Yes, you do need to read book one otherwise this book will make less sense and there is so much packed in that you will need all the help you can get, to get through this awesomeness!
Ok, so the first thing you need to know is that this is not your classic romance novel, it is a suspense, drama with a love story thrown in. It's also a little dark and twisty along the way but keep faith in what will be happening.
Secondly, there is no damsel in distress here, so if you don't love kick ass woman and men who are alphalicious and love their woman then this book is not for you! Laurie and Aiden are literally a killer power couple and are my personal #CoupleGoals.
Because I don't believe in spoilers I won't be giving anything away but what I can tell you is there this book will have you not he edge of your seat with anticipation and excitement. There are people from the past cropping up and friendships that you will never see coming. There is so much emotion packed into this book that you will also want a good dose of chocolate and maybe even some wine around to help you get through it all.
All in all, I could not have been happier with all this series has come to a beautiful end, even as I sit here with tears in my eyes and secretly hope that there will be a novella or a catch up in our future.
Martha has done a brilliant job and I look forward to seeing what she will be coming up with next for us.
This is my honest and unbiased review.

If you read book one, then you already know that Laurie and Aiden are a power couple that can't be stopped. This is not romance, it's a thriller with a killer team. They face everything together, even death and they had me speeding through this book like there was nothing else to do with my life.

Laurie is the definition of a badass and she carries the book flawlessly. Some female roles can feel so forced or useless. NOT LAURIE! her transition as not only a character but as a woman is inspiring to read. She's a survivor, an overcomer, a fighter. Her story was just beginning in book one, in book two we see the pivotal moment of her journey.

Laurie does get tested and there are moments when I almost felt disappointed in her lack faith in herself but only because it's reflected the times I have done the same. Anytime a character makes me nuts it's because it hits home in some major way.

Aiden rang true. This author commits strongly to her characters. Aiden is that man that sees his woman as an equal even in the face of danger. The thing that makes him human is his fear of losing her. It's what made him real. No matter how capable he knew her to be he loved her beyond life.

The supporting characters are excellent, each with their own history and extremely well developed.

The villains were brilliant and intriguing to watch! The plot flowed and was easy to follow with some extremely shocking twists.

This book was a compliment to its counterpart and Sweeney once again blew me away with her talent. This book was a five star bestseller and took me completely away from reality. Well done!

What an action packed, suspenseful and page turning read this was.
This story picks up right where the first leaves off. But our characters are at their breaking points with running and what their actions have done to them.
Laurie is fighting a losing battle and the only one able to bring her back is Aiden.

I was hooked on this story. You must read Killmore first as You will be lost as to what is happening and why. And this one had so many moving parts and new characters i couldn't read fast enough and then was upset when it was over! Ive found a new one click author!

What a crazy whirlwind this was. Laurie was brilliant in the first book and she is even more so in this one. Aiden is awesome!!!! His two friends Mark and D.J. add quite a bit of humor to the story which is needed. Love the epilogue and wish there was more.

Action Packed Thriller !!
Laurie has already had to endure so much pain being torn from her loved ones in book one .
Only to live a seemingly never ending life on the run from demons lurking around every corner .
They search her out even within her nightmares , but she's still as Strong as ever . Ready to take on anyone who threatens her chances at happiness, but what will happen when she is forced to come face to face with those demons again.
Is she willing to pay the price ?
I love Laurie she is one of my favorite female characters and when she is with Aiden. They are a force so powerful you can feel their love connection.
Yes ,There was a lot of raw, unpalpable emotions and bloodshed between these pages . Aiden and Laurie are both essentially fighting for their lives , their freedom, to be together .
It got intense amongst all the chaos , suspense and twists. The author kept me wanting more of this Thriller …..A must read !!

The wait for the final instalment in this series was well worth it. The twists and turns kept coming and kept me glued to the pages. Aiden and Laurie are such a likeable couple and I was rooting for them throughout. This was a well thought out, well written book that followed on nicely from where we left off with the couple in the first book - Killmore. It was so exciting and at times I couldn’t turn my page quick enough. Absolutely brilliant. I ended up staying up long beyond my bedtime to finish it and had to have coffee on drip the next day.
This series is my absolute favourite of this author’s books so far - a must read.

“The Devil has a seductively sweet, sinister song that tantalizes the soul to its very core. It sings more sweetly when your soul has been tainted like mine.”

…..”The nights the Devil starts to sing his lullaby is when I start to question how much longer she can hide from all of it before she’s swallowed whole by the darkness.”

The Killmores is the highly anticipated second, and final book in the Killmore Series by Martha Sweeney. It is an intense, action-packed romantic suspense- with danger, drama, conflict, passion, friendship, love, camaraderie/brotherhood, family bonds, and some humour. This book has been 2 years in the making, and I must admit that I wasn’t sure it would be worth the wait- or live up to my expectations. But I can honestly say that it was definitely well worth the wait. It had me completely hooked, biting my nails and on the edge of my seat, while everything unfolded. I was so caught up in the story that I devoured it over the course of an afternoon/evening.
As we discovered in the first book, Laurie had been placed in witness protection by the FBI. She was their ‘inside-man’ and informant on a notorious crime lord and his drug and human trafficking ring. Then years later the FBI show up in her life again, asking for help in an investigation. Aiden is one of the agents tasked with the dangerous assignment. They need Laurie as her help. As the investigation mounts, and they spend time together, feelings develop, and Laurie and Aiden soon find themselves in a romantic relationship. There is much danger and action throughout the first book- things I won’t go into because I don’t want to spoil it for you if you haven’t read it yet. I will say that if you haven’t read book one yet, you really need to do so before starting on this one as there is a bridging storyline- and you need to know all the details from the first book in order to fully appreciate and understand everything in this book.
Book two picks up a few months after the first book finished. Laurie and Aiden are travelling the world in an effort to stay one step ahead of Laurie’s past. They move around a lot, never staying in one place for very long. Laurie is haunted by her past, paranoia has set in and she’s always looking over her shoulder. She’s on edge all the time and won’t allow herself to fully relax. This makes her a little difficult to live with and Aiden is so supportive and understanding throughout it all…And she really doesn’t make it easy for him at times. So, what happens when their worst fears are realised, and Laurie finally comes face to face with her past. Will Aiden be able to rescue her, or will he be too late? You really should read this brilliant book/series and find out all the thrilling details for yourself.
This story has so much action, mystery, drama and suspense- that I ended up in a page flipping frenzy in my attempts to find out what would happen next. There were clever twists that I just didn’t see coming. It was definitely an unputdownable read!
The characters are all so well developed; having their own quirks, flaws, and personalities. Laurie really frustrated me with her attitude and being so difficult to get along with- I understand why she was like that, but I still wanted to shake her at times, as the push-pull was a bit much. Aiden was so patient with her- swoon!
Ms. Sweeney infused this story with quite a lot of intensity, emotion, suspense, sizzle, and humour. I liked the funny banter and quips, especially between Aiden, Mark and DJ. The “Fake ID” scene was hilarious, as was the names they gave their missions.
I think this series would make a great movie, or Television mini-series!
I definitely recommend this book and I can’t wait to see what Ms. Sweeney does next!

Thank you, Ms. Sweeney!

The Killmores (Killmore #2)
By Martha Sweeney

I have been patiently waiting (well attempting to be patient about it) for this book for ages! I absolutely LOVED book 1 in the series and as it had been a while I had to go back and quickly refresh my memory – but that also meant I got to re-read one of the most amazing books I have read and so I was ready to get stuck into book 2! AND what a book 2 it was! I was gripped from the beginning. It was exciting, it had me on the edge of my seat and my heart racing more times than I can mention. It was in all honesty everything I expected and wanted it to be and more. It is absolutely one of my top reads of 2018 (and this is around book 560 this year!!) Laurie is by far the best badass female lead that I have ever read about – she is so amazing! I love her and Aiden together! This book was a huge turning point for Laurie’s character and I loved it! Everything about this book was brilliant, the plot, the characters (both main and supporting) and the authors writing was just outstanding! I cannot recommend this book enough – book 1 needs to be read prior to this one but that is as equally as amazing so readers will not be disappointed at all!

The Killmores was worth the wait! I felt like I waited so long that I actually needed to reread Killmores beforehand. I you haven’t read book 1 in a while or at all, you definitely need to read it before diving into book 2. Martha Sweeney gives us an extremely layered story that would make the best movie! It’s one of those stories that you’ll sit there watching with your mouth slack-jawed while watching everything unfold!! Martha Sweeney immediately captured my attention with her amazingly descriptive language. I could envision exactly what both Aiden and Laurie was seeing, experiencing, and even feeling.

Aiden is a hero, he’s a saint. There’s not many things more painful emotionally than arguing with the one you love about them loving you. It’s never been easy for Laurie to share her feelings, she’d rather show them than say them. Aiden might have tracked her down like a bloodhound at the end of Book 1 but she won’t just lay down and take everything as it is.

“Words supported by my action since the day we met.” (Aiden) There was something about this quote that rings with so much truth. Action often speaks louder than words. Laurie hit the jackpot with Aiden.

This is one intense scene after another intense scene. It’s been so long since I’ve read anything that made my heart rush and read with such a fever. Mrs. Sweeney’s writing is perfection. I can’t seem to get over the complexity in this story. I’m in love with how everything comes back to Laurie and just the basics of life. Mrs. Sweeney made me like a bad guy... like how is that even possible? That’s how talented she is. I know feel the need to know Antonio’s entire story. The change and growth in the characters was amazing to watch. Sweeney really showed how people can evolve and change over time.

Who knew that I could actually laugh after this intense and nerve-racking story. Aiden, oh Aiden... I might have fell in love with him during the hunt for his woman. Looking for his gun in the middle of confession time.... I was a bit shocked at myself when I laughed out loud at him. The Killmores was perfection... the storyline, the action, the love, the depth of deceit and trickery... a masterpiece! I really can’t wait to see what Mrs. Sweeney gives us next but I sure hope we don’t have to wait as long!

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

The Killmores
By: Martha Sweeney
5 out of 5 stars

The story The Killmores by Martha Sweeney is a thrilling mystery/espionage book. It is a story that hooks you in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until the final page. This is a sequel that is a page-turner. In order to fully understand all that goes on, it would be best to read the first book. This story had me constantly on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next and who was going to survive. This book has action and danger with each chapter that you read. Laurie and Aiden are larger than life characters. Laurie is a strong, stubborn woman with a sense of humor. She also is a bit paranoid that there are those watching and following her. Those fears become based in reality when a nightmare unfolds for this couple. Aiden is a man that is trying to help Laurie cope with the demons that haunt her. He is protective of her. He also is one that professes her love for her. As the nightmare that has become their life unfolds will Aiden be able to save Laurie? Will this couple get a happy ending, or will things end in tragedy? Read this book to find out. There are many characters that are brought forward from the first book and also new ones that are introduced. I loved the bantering that goes back and forth between Laurie and Aiden. I have to laugh at how contrary Laurie always is. I believe that she just loves to say the opposite of what Aiden does because she wants to. This story has characters that help this couple and are loyal and those that have their own agenda. Find out who wins in the end. This is a suspenseful story that is amazing to read. Highly recommended.

The Killmores by Martha Sweeney is the second book in her Killmore series, thrilling her readers with more mystery and who dunit catchiness. The continuation will keep you enthralled from page one and keep you on the edge of your seat until well after the last page. Continuing the story of Laurie and Aiden, they are beyond larger than life in this story. Laurie is definitely a stubborn woman who is also very sarcastic, both of these traits are offset by her paranoia, but it is understandable. Having lived through the terror of book one has given her right to be paranoid that something like that will happen again. Aiden on the other hand, only wants to help Laurie cope with all the demons that haunt her past. Aiden is quite protective of her, wanting to give her all of his love. But as the nightmares take over her life, will Aiden and his love be enough to save her? The chemistry between Laurie and Aiden is palpable from across the room, between making each other laugh as much as cry and smile really made this story come to life. Sweeney is a newer to me author, having only found her works with the Killmore series. But I am so happy that I picked this one up. I highly recommend reading book one first, otherwise many of the interactions and characters that were present in book two will not make as much sense. I can’t wait to see what Sweeney will bring to her readers next!

The Killmore's (Killmore #2) by Martha Sweeney is the second book in this wonderful series and has you turning the pages of this great story to find the conclusion to this great partnership.

Laurie is a strong, bad ass female character who I loved to read about and the dynamic in the relationship between her and Adian is amazing. We got to see some of Laurie's history in the first book but this book expands and draws you into more thrilling mysteries the further you read.

Adian is as dependable as ever but he views Laurie as an equal and they tackle the dangers together and I love how this relationship works, he is devoted to Laurie.

This was a great well written story with the twists and turns of a great thriller. The book gripes you from the first words and has you thumbing through the pages to get to the end as fast of possible to see what happens in the end. The characters compliment each other so well and the interaction between them is a joy to read.

I love that there is a strong, fearless female character which drives through the story to give you a sense of pride but also you see the vulnerable side to her with her nightmares and fears. I do not recommend you reading this as a stand alone as you do need to understand the back story from the first one but I would recommend reading the whole two books it is an awesome series.

The Killmores (Killmore #2) by Martha Sweeney was a action packed, not your normal romance thrill, with a power couple could give Mr. and Mrs Smith a run for their money.

I am in deep with this series, it's everything I never knew I wanted in a action romance. Both are kickass, both are amazing, and this isn't a story about the hot action, alpha guy saving the girl. No, no, this story is about a powerhouse couple that work together, fight it out and know how to give and take.

Outside of the nail biting action and heart pounding intense situations, the writing is on point. Everything flowed cohesively, transitions were near seamless and, the detail was rich and drawing. I felt like I was watching a blockbuster action movie instead of reading a book.

Not one for spoilers, I don't want to say anymore as it will ruin this fan-freaking-tastic book. I will warn you that this is part of a series, and it picks up pretty much were the last leaves off. It has a continuation timeline and plot, so I highly suggest you read the first book, Killmore, as to not get confused.

So if you haven't guest, I highly, highly recommend you get your hands on this book, this series. Take my stamp of approval that you will be capture by this power couple, their resolved and, the endless thrilling action.

Happy reading

The Killmores is book two in the Killmore series written by Martha Sweeney is a great book that finishes the story between Aiden and Laurie. The characters are well written I love their little quirkiness and banter. This is an action-packed, espionage romantic suspense thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat and want more!
Laurie is always looking over her shoulder on the run from her past. Though Aiden and she are together, Laurie can’t escape the demons who haunt her. To Laurie, she must keep running to keep the Devil's beasts off her scent.
Laurie’s Nightmares eventually become reality and she thrust face to face with the Devil. We have new players enter the game, people die, truths are revealed, and Laurie is forced to chose: to either fight or give up completely.
Can Aiden save the woman he loves or will he be outwitted and left with his love dead in his arms? While Laurie is entrapped by the Devil, will she fight or give in? Will these two finally have a happily ever after all the years on the run?
I highly recommend this book/series and I hope we get to see these two again…

The way in which Martha Sweeney writes her characters quickly emerges you into their world. You feel every hardship and triumph the characters go through. You root for them from your very core and are not satisfied until they get the happy ending they deserve. The Killmores is no different. In the first book we fell in love with Aiden and Laurie and their love story and in The Killmores you fall deeper and deeper in love with Aiden and Laurie. When the devil comes for Laurie, she and Aiden will be tested in a way they never though possible. Laurie must find the strength to survive and live another day even when the darkness pulls her down more and more everyday. When Laurie disappears Aiden will stop at nothing to find the love of his life and bring her home but will he get there before she has lost all hope and given up. What do you do when the devil has got you by the throat? There are two options fights or die! The Killmores is the must read thriller of the year, an intense on the edge of your seat ride from start to finish. This book had me crying like a baby while smiling in triumph !!

“The Killmores” by Martha Sweeney is the second book in the Killmore series, so you MUST read “Killmore” first! Well, if “Killmore” was the story driven book, then “The Killmores” is the action driven book! As expected from the ending of “Killmore”, “The Killmores” is non-stop crazy action and not a moment to catch your breath! This is a longer book and I still ate it up in a day since so much happens! Definitely a book you don’t want to put down just because you want to know what happens next! The two main characters have been through so much, both together and before they met, and their lives were so crazy, I was not sure how this would all play out. I have to say though; I thought the ending was wonderful! The whole book was, of course, but the ending was spectacular! The far- away places and the character development was what really made this book so great to me. I love when an author takes a flawed character and turns them into more than you thought they could be and Martha Sweeney does just that! So, I give “The Killmores” five stars! I’m sad to see it end, but oh what an end it was!

The Killmores is the thrilling conclusion to the Killmore Series by Martha Sweeney. I am totally in love with this book and the series as a whole. Martha Sweeney has written a fantastic series. This book is not intended to be read as a stand-alone. You need to read Killmore first.
This book had absolutely everything. It was action packed from the very first page and filled with so much suspense and angst. You will be on the edge of your seat throughout. After reading the first book I said that I thought that Laurie was the most amazing bad ass female lead I had ever read. She didn’t disappoint in this second book, in fact she became even more sassy. Although we did see a more vulnerable side to her in this book but this made her character even more endearing. I also fell more in love with Aiden in this book. For such an alpha man, he can also be a total sweetheart too.
The Killmores will take you on the most amazing rollercoaster journey. There are so many ‘what the hell!’ moments. There are also moments where tissues may be required.
If you haven’t guessed it, I LOVE this book and would recommend this series to everyone.

The Killmores (Killmore #2) by Martha Sweeney

Four Stars

There was so much pain in this story. Laurie and Aiden didn’t have much peace in their relationship. There is something constantly getting in the way. Their relationship felt like it was on borrowed time. The story was always in movement. It felt like there was always something happening. It was suspenseful and action filled. The story was far from predictable. I don’t know where to focus because so much happened. Aiden is a really strong character he feels with his whole heart. He doesn’t just state pretty words. I liked that the author gave him a voice and didn’t just focus on Laurie’s POV. I like the direction this story took at first but by like close to the end I was getting upset. I was not expecting what happened to happen. I was in shock. I was literally on the edge of my bed like OMG! This series has got something good going. Strong writing skills and a great character development. The author has done really well putting together this book. It has definitely caught my attention.

So hopefully you started with book one, Killmore, because this book is going to blow you away just as much and make a lot more sense to you if you do so. Also it will prepare you to clear your calendar like I did for this one. I knew I had to have a day set aside to devour this in one sitting. I completely neglected life and adulting for the first one and I just couldn’t manage to miss a moment here either. I was a skeptic that I would love this one as much given that Killmore topped my favorite read of all of Martha Sweeney’s novels and was a top five reads of 2018. This one is a continuation of the story of Laurie and Aiden, both of which are great strong and relatable characters. I really can't find a way to share any of the juicy details without spoiling the greatness of the story for you so for any of that you will have to pick up this gem and devour it for yourself. You won’t be disappointed that you did! I can’t wait to see what will come next from Ms. Sweeney! Thanks for the great reads!

Just brilliant! The Killmores by Martha Sweeney is another great read. This book continues on from the first one and should not be read as a standalone you need to know what happened and all about the characters to truly understand and value this book. Martha has done a fantastic job with this story and I fell in love with the characters from the very first page of the first book. There is so much pain and suffering, action and danger, secrets and mysteries, lies and loss that will keep you glued to each and every page. The emotion in this book just broke my heart and I could not stop sobbing.

Laurie has been through so much and just living on the edge of sanity but the final nail in the coffin has just happened and she can not take any more and she finally knows what she has to do.   I have been looking forward to reading this book and it didn’t disappoint. Spot on Martha, spot on.

Killmores (Killmore #2)
Martha Sweeney
4 out of 5 stars

Killmores is the perfect follow up to the first book in Martha Sweeney’s Killmore series. These books aren’t meant to be read as stand alone reads, if you haven’t started from beginning of this action packed rollercoaster then I highly recommend doing that now.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from Killmores with such a strong set up of book there was no way the second would be just as captivating, action packed as the first book. Of course I was pleasantly surprised to see the series continues on without a hitch with memorable, enjoyable characters both new and old.
This is the type of book you crave reading when you don’t quite have the time, the kind you take with you anywhere “just in case” you need something to do while you wait.
Martha Sweeney is a new to me author that is officially on my radar. I look forward to reading more in the future.

The Killmores is the second book in the Killmore series. While you could probably get most of what is going on in this book without reading the first one, I’d suggest reading the previous book to get more of a connection to the characters and more extensive background on what lead up to the events in the second book. I read them back-to-back so it was more like one long novel rather than two separate books, and it worked out pretty well.

I like that the main female character remains strong, even though she does go through a period of devastation. Her responses to the events are intense and emotional, but she maintains her edge overall. The only thing I could have done without is the conspiracy theory conversation between Aiden and his friends/teammates. Other than that, it was a great continuation of the previous book. Even though it doesn’t end in a cliffhanger, the ending does leave things open for the possibility of the series continuing.

The Killmores by Martha Sweeney. This is the second installment into the Killmore series. It picks up where book 2 left off and you really need to read them in order. Its the continuing story of Laurie and Aiden. They have decided to be a couple but Laurie feels like she can't outrun her past. She has lost everyone she ever cared about until she met Aiden. She doesn't want to lose him to. Aiden is the first guy to tell Laurie he loves her and mean it. She is overwhelmed. Laurie is a strong, bull headed woman and Aiden will fight with whatever it takes to save her. Laurie knows someone is after her again and sure enough they are. Will Laurie be able to fight off this devil or will she lose everything. Will Laurie ever get her happily ever after. This is such a fast paced read you get caught up and lose all track of time! Its a great series!

The Killmores by Martha Sweeney

5-stars

The Killmores is a phenomenal story that held me captive from the beginning until the very end. It’s the second book in Martha Sweeney’s Killmore series and it’s quite possibly my favourite book by this author to date. I would strongly suggest reading book 1 first as this story follows exactly where it left off.

The Killmores is captivating, intense, detailed, riveting, action-packed and so unbelievably entertaining. I ended up reading this book in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to put it down. I felt so invested in Laurie and Aiden’s story that I even got emotional shedding a tear or two. Honestly I felt so sad when I reached the end since I could have continue to read about the two of them for hours. I’m already looking forward to re reading this book again!

I would strongly recommend this book to others!!

The Killmores by Martha Sweeney
Five Stars

The Killmores is the second book in the Killmore series by Martha Sweeney. This series should be read in order, so if you haven’t read Killmore already stop right here and read it first. You won’t be disappointed it is also a five star read. This book begins where the first book ends and it is filled with mystery, suspense and action. If you are like me, you won’t be able to put this book down and it will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end.
Laurie is such a strong character with bada** tendencies, which I love is a female lead. Aiden is ready to follow Laurie to the end of the earth and I love how we find out more about him in the story. I don’t want to give any spoilers, so I’m going to leave it there. I absolutely recommend this book, series and author, and am looking forward to reading more from Ms. Sweeney.

The Killmores by Martha Sweeney is a five star novel. I loved how this novel followed up Killmore nicely, I only did not like how close the titles are to each other because I kept thinking that it was only one novel and not two. It is a must to read these in order. We meet Laurie and Aiden in the first novel along with several bad guys. As Laurie and Aiden find their way in the world moving every couple of weeks, Laurie is determined to not let her past catch up to her. She never thinks she is safe. She convinces Aiden to keep moving with her even though he thinks it is just her paranoia kicking in. Little do they know that her nightmares are soon to materialize and now they both need to figure out how to make it back to each other.

The Killmores By Martha Sweeney. This book I honestly believe is even better than book one and that one was out of this world good. I highly recommend reading these books in order. I was excited to read this action packed thriller with characters I just head of heels for. I was constantly on the edge of my seat trying to read as fast as possible to see what happens next. The author paints a world that comes alive before your eyes with words. Laurie and Aiden are characters that drag you into their world. I love a strong female character and you definitely get that with this story. I couldn’t put this book down and was definitely up way into the night because I just had to know what happened. I’m giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it to anyone! A must read for sure!

The Killmores (A Killmore novel) by Martha Sweeney
4 Stars!!!!

Wow is what comes to mind first. This is the second book in the series and I was not disappointed. I was just glued to the pages to see how things would unfold. The author really has a refreshing style and the world she has created really grabs you and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

The chemistry between Aiden and Laurie just heats up more in this book and the drama that unfolds around them really adds to the whole dynamic. I was drawn in as Laurie's past comes back into play and how things get resolved. The whole undertone of the book of the mob and corruption really just adds to the story.I found myself really routing for Aiden and Laurie. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

The Killmores by Martha Sweeney is the second part of this story. In order to fully understand the story they should be read in order.
As with the first book this one is fast paced and intense. I found myself constantly on the edge of my seat. I knew it was only a matter of time before everything caught up with Laurie, and although I was clearly rooting for a happy outcome, I also couldn’t wait to see what would happen when it did.
This book is full of twists and turns. The author knows how to grab your attention and she definitely knows how to not let go once she has it. This was a brilliant follow up to book one. I can highly recommend this series.
