The tower of the Elf King is about Eric Hinkle and his friends Neal and Julie. They have to help their friend who lives in Droon. Their friend's treasure is stolen by a Hog Elf who was cursed by Lord Sparr. When they find the Hog Elf, he has all the treasure but he did not use it for money. You will have to read the book to find out what happens. It is a nice book. -Sam Kuntz

I didn't really like how it was totally off. The book was kind of a side story in the series. You have to read the whole next book to find out what happened.

Do you want to learn more about fantasy? ell you came to the right place. First, I need to talk about the book I read, The Secrets of Droon, The Tower of the Elf King by Tony Abbott. It starts you off at the kid home where he and his two friends go to the world of Droon. Droon look a lot like a fantasy medieval with castles and elfs. After that they learn that they have to save the world form a monster. As they are traveling they meet many people like a pillow king and some elfs.
This book does fit in the fantasy genre. One way it fits is that it is in a different world than ours, such as a world were kings and queens. The other way is that some of the characters are not real. The characters are not real because one of them is a pillow that can talk. Those are the two biggest reasons it is in the fantasy genre.
I really enjoyed this book because it was a bit relaxing. Also, it was about a genre I like in general. The other way I like it is that the character is funny to me. I would recommend this book to kid that are under 11. I think this was targeted at kids in the first place. If you are looking for a good and fun children's book, I would chose this book.

Weird feeling not having sparr in the story

- Dreamed of different parts of a monster
- STILL haven’t cleaned basement
- Sparr is missing. Keeah and galen making a spell to find him
- Monster invaded lumpland
- Keeah can teleport people with the harp
- Locate dragon by scent from a scale left behind
- Ninns don’t know where sparr is. They follow a lizard now
- Friddle picked up the kids to go to the tower of the elf king
- Gryndal appeared same time sparr disappeared
- Friddle made the harp and tells keeah about its powers
- Gryndal is fake and made of pieces. He’s actually a hog elf
- Gryndal knows where keeah’s mom is
- Friddle rescues the kids from a crumbling tower

I really enjoyed this one, probably a lot because Sparr wasn't in it, and also because it was off the wall funny. Like it was pretty clear that Gryndal wasn't scary when the kids first met him, and those elves in the robes were goofy too. Plus the Ninns were less awful when they weren't doing Sparr's bidding. And when Gryndal's fake tail fell off, that was hilarious. 🤣 My daughter thought this one was pretty weird.

I liked this book because I liked the part when the pig elves escaped because they would be going to freedom. I also liked this book because I love explosions.

These books were fun for my son, I think it was one of his first set of books, where he had to wait for the new one to come out. This was a good read

This Droon book feels like a transition story, just here to connect larger pieces of the series plot. The kids arrive in Droon after dreaming of separate body parts of a fearsome monster. Some weird noodle divination by Galen and Keeah is interrupted by Khan, King of the Lumpies, whose village has been plundered by a dragonish humanoid - everything metallic has been stolen, including Khan's crown. The rest of the book is essentially about the kids helping Khan retrieve his treasure. Lord Sparr is conspicuously absent, as are Max and Galen. Keeah develops her magic harp abilities - she can now move it like the spaceships in Buckaroo Banzai: up, down, left, right, hover, et cetera - as they chase the dragonlike elf king Gryndal across the desert to a colossal tower he's constructed with the help of hundreds of Ninns. The levitating ability of the harp is used several times, but the only other noteworthy things are the introduction of Friddle (a tinker who makes all sorts of steampunk gadgets and conveyances) and that Queen Relna has now apparently taken the form of a red tiger.

In three separate dreams, Eric, Neal, and Julie see different parts of a terrifying monster with three angry red eyes, a fire-breathing mouth with long, sharp teeth, and a huffing, puffing pig nose. When the friends return to Droon, they find out that a horrible beast that matches their pictures has robbed the Lumpies’ village of all their treasures. The three friends join Princess Keeah and Khan, King of the Lumpies, in a quest to recover the stolen things. A friendly, female Ninn tells Eric that the monster they pursue calls himself Gryndal, the Elf King. When they actually see him, he looks more like a metallic dragon than an elf. With the help of hundreds of Ninns, he is building a huge tower in the desert.

I've decided to read The Secrets of Droon series entirely for Christmas since i've been feeling a bit nostalgic. I want to be able to live a bit of the magic of being a kid and what beeter to help than this incredible series. In this adventure we get to meet a new enemy, well sort of "enemy". Well not really but in this book Sparr doesn't make an appearance because he is missing but his Ninns are still present. We also see new characters including Friddle, one of my favorite of all the series. In this book and the last one we see the series evolving and acquiring depth. We are also getting hints of what is to come. This one is one of my favorites so far.

In this one, there are new creatures roaming in Droon. The kids had dreams and each drew a picture. For instance, Eric drew a picture of the creature's three eyes. Julie drew a picture of the creature's fiery mouth with sharp teeth. And Neal dreamed about a pig nose. When they went to Droon, Khan's city got robbed by the creature. The creature's name was Gryndal. When the kids were fighting Gryndal, this little elf came along and saved them. The elf's name was Friddle. Then they went to Gryndal's tower. The Ninns (Sparr's evil creatures) were building the tower. Sparr got hurt in the last book, so Gryndal took over the Ninns.

This book, by Tony Abbott is full of excitement and mysteries! In the beginning, Eric, Julie and Neil have dreams about Droon. The problem in the story is that Khan's treasure is missing. Khan is the King of the Lumpys and Lumpys are chubby pillows! Keeah is the princess of Droon and she flies away on a bird, looking for her mother. Eric, Julie, and Neil help Khan and Keeah find the missing treasure! My favorite part is where Khan explains what happened over night. The hog elves broke into Khan's house to take the treasure. The character I like best is Eric. I like when Khan shows Eric what happened in his house. This put a good picture in my mind! I think you would love this book!

I've been reading this series to 2 kids (ages 5 and 7), and they LOVE this series. They can't get enough, and this book didn't disappoint them. They can't wait to dig into the next book. They love these books because they're imaginative, humorous, full of action and adventure, and full of magical wonder. I definitely recommend this to kids ages 5+, and especially to kids that are getting into chapter books.

the protagonist are Eric, Julie and Neal and the antagonist is sparr they went back to droon to take off on another adventure with princess keeah. and they went to the lumpies village and it was robbed and it cant be lord sparr because he mysteriously disappeared. So it had to be the terrible beast in the crimes of the village.

Found the book a little boring but at the same time … it was important to move along with the story line

Eric, Neal and July together dream of a monster that might be hurting droon and decide to go help

The book focuses on what happens and who is monster js etc.
