Forbidden - The Complete Saga

Rate this book
*** This is the COMPLETE Forbidden Saga, and includes Parts 1 through 4!***

Hawke Townsend is haunted by the demons of his past. But when a woman washes up on the shore of the private island he shares with his identical twin, Archer, there’s something about her that finally cuts through his darkness. Yet her presence on the island poses its own set of complications, given Hawke’s reclusive nature, and the fact that very few people realize that the famous artist, Jackson Townsend, is actually two people.

Phoebe Nicholls is running from an abusive ex determined to see her dead—and he nearly gets his wish. After battling a brutal ocean, she awakes to find herself recovering in the bed of a handsome stranger—who’s offered her the lifeline she so desperately needs and the chance to finally stop running. She can stay on the island as long as she’d like, and in exchange, she’ll model for his paintings and be his muse.

The twins have always been close, and are in so many ways one person, with Archer protecting his brother and going out into the world on his behalf. But presenting a single face to the world at large is far easier than keeping up the charade on their own private island with Phoebe on the loose. How long can they keep up their deception once they both start to develop feelings for her? And when Phoebe finds out, will she be able to forgive them?

Riveting - I love this book ❤️ It has everything a good story needs. This is my first book by this author and I loved it so much I bought out many of her other books right after. This is a unique story, maybe a bit taboo but it was sooo much more then I expected. The suspense grabs you from the first paragraph and hooks you. I loved every page. This is a true love story, unconventional yes, but a love story nonetheless. This story is so well written and flows wonderfully. The story is complicated and compelling. The characters are so rich, so real and genuine you easily feel you are watching as the story unfolds. Awesome book! I highly recommend.

Better than I thought it was going to be.

So going into this book I really thought it was going to be a super smexy book about a trio...I don't think I was fully prepared for the emotional turbulence in this book not to mention, the anticipation of what would happen next and if her past would catch up with her. My only issue was, I wish we got to know more about the brothers past. It was hinted at and gone into a little bit but not fully and I feel It would have added a layer to the characters. Beside that though I thought It was a great book that in will definitely recommend to others!

Forbidden, The Townsend Twins...

I love this author but I did not like this book. Twins sharing the same woman? It was insane. I get that how it started was dramatic and crazy, but to continue on and even being pregnant and marrying two brothers. It was too much and quite ridiculous. Never again please, never. However the piece of Greyson book at the end was intriguing enough to want more.

Not for me

I'm happy I got this book through Kindle unlimited and did not purchase it. It just wasn't for me. I have the need to finish the story and usually don't skip to the end but once I saw the direction this book was taking I'm glad that I did, and didn't waste my time.

I so love to hate your "cliffhangers". You leave me hanging in the most delicious ways. As a Serial/Saga girl, I just adore your episode books. My hope is that you will combine them in the end so I can have a paperback for my collection.
This story literally picks up where part 1 ended (in another gasp inspiring cliffhanger).
I love the Story and the characters, the angst in each of them individually and as a group is far more interesting than one would think. And it's Hot, Hot, Hot!!!

This first installment captures you from the every first page. I read it in one sitting. It is riveting and keep you guessing, sometimes even going back and re reading to make sure you read what you just read. The Characters are complex and at the same time it's like you know them already. The ending is an OMG moment. I can't wait to read part two, and then three and then four... and it's steaming HOT!!!

Need the last part now please!!!
Part 3 starts with Phoebe fining out there are 2 of them not one. How will she react? Will she be able to forgive them? Will they be able to live with what they have done to her? Will they do what it takes to keep her, and keep her safe from mean ole Kevin?
Phoebe is mad as a wet hen when she realizes there are 2 twins not one man. She fell in love with Jackson, who is really 2 different men. She has a hard time dealing with the betrayal as it were.
Both Archer and Hawke fear the worse when Phoebe decides she need to be alone after finding out about their lies. Both are tore up from hurting her, and they know they did. Will they be able to convince her to stay with them or will this divide the twins? Only part 4 can tell us that and we have to wait for it.
This part shows us the twins in a new light, one with no rose colored glasses. We see deeper into Hawke’s issues that make him such a recluse, and Archer commitment to making sure his brother doesn’t dive back into the black hole of his soul. Stay tuned for part 4.

Boy Howdy does Cali MacKay know how to end a story!!!
This episode starts with Archer gone and Phoebe and Hawke reeling from his absence. Hawke is mad at himself and Archer for not being about to work out their differences so that they can all be happy, which lead Archer to leave.
Phoebe is seething and upset that Archer could leave them. She is at a crossroads as to what to do, or even if she should. She doesn't want to come between the brother, but she loves them both and can not choose. Archer leaving leaves her feeling awful and sad. Thats when it all get interesting.
Kevin (the evil cop) comes back and kidnaps Phoebe from the diner she and Hawke (yes Hawke left the house...WOOHOO) are at. He gets away with her and then all hell breaks lose.
Phoebe decides to fight and in turn both she and Kevin are shot. Kevin dies (YAY!!) and Phoebe is critically injured. Archer and Hawke are beside themselves but in the waiting they come to an agreement.
This is a HEA and I am thankful for that. I am going to miss all the characters and am hoping the new guy introduced (Gryphon) maybe gets a story of his own (Please and pretty Please).
Well done as always Ms. MacJKay!!! Can't wait to see whats next.

Great Story

This book was crazy good. I loved the characters and all the dimension surrounding them. The storyline was just a tad in the dark area but just enough to keep you reading. Must Read

ARC copy for honest review with no compensation.
Another great boxset from Cali MacKay…if you are not into MFM books then this is not for you.
From the start this book draws you in with the Townsend Twins (Archer and Hawk) living on their own island that borders the ocean and you can only get to them over a bridge (which they keep drawn up). Hawk is a world famous painter but a recluse, and Archer his identical twin goes worldwide promoting his brother’s painting but uses the name Jackson. The world thinks they are one person. They had a horrific childhood that has lead them to the life they now live.
Phoebe washes on up on their show after struggling for her life after he ex-boyfriend, Kevin tries to kill her. She is rescued by Hawk, with Archer’s help they bring her back to the land of the living but tell her his name is Jackson (which is both their middle names). Hawk and Archer exchange places so she thinks it’s only one person that she is falling for….not so.
This story takes you on a ride with lots of intensity, twists and turns, hot, hot sex scenes and ultimately wondering if Phoebe will stay with them both, choose only one or leave completely???
Once you start the book it is very hard to put down….very well written as all her books! ! !

I loved it. This book kept me on the edge of my seat. I really didn't expect it to be so suspenseful. I could not put it down. I don't know why I'm surprised. I have read several of Cali MacKay's books and enjoyed them all.

Archer and Hawke are so intense. Their personalities are so distinctive, it makes you wonder why Phoebe cannot tell them apart. The romance and the sex is combustible. ***Warning. If threesomes (m/f/m) are offensive to you, leave this book alone.****

In the telling of this tale, you get to experience people's emotional pain, insecurities, physical pain, terror, love, and acceptance. There were so many emotions to work through, and the writing keeps you fully engaged. The book is also sold in 4 parts, but I am so glad it is now in a complete set. I had purchased Part 1, and I really dislike cliffhangers.

I would definitely recommend you read this book.

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. The opinion expressed is solely my own opinion.

Two guys and a girl....one word HOT

Cali MacKay has this amazing ability to write characters which you automatically fall in love with and this series is no different.
From the start of the book I was hooked and for the entire time you are reading, you are waiting for her to discover that Jackson is on fact two guys but the moment she does, yout heartbreaks for Phoebe because somewhere along the line you have fallen in love with Hawke and Archer. This saga takes you on a rollercoaster ride so hang onto yout emotions. It was lucky i didnt have anything to do because the minute I picked it up, I couldn't put it down.

I am so glad this was a box set. I would have really iterated me with each of the cliffhangers. That being said...

This was a great book from start to finish. Wasn't too sure how the brothers expected to keep Phoebe convinced they were only one person, especially with some of Hawke's issues. I love that the brothers try to do whatever they can to protect Phoebe from her ex, Kevin. Things definitely don't ever slow down, there was always something going on. And didn't work out quite the way I was expecting.

There is mfm sex, so if that is not your thing, then this is not the book for you. If you don't mind or like mfm action then give this book a try, I was pleasantly surprised by it.

Forbidden was wonderful!! following the story of Hawke ,Archer and Phoebe was just such fun it was so so very thrilling seriously I was at the edge of of my seat reading this book I needed to know what would happen next at the end of every chapter !!. The romance in this book is defiantly a change from the average romance it but at the same time it was sexy , sweet and emotional all the things I love in my romance . Between the characters , the romance , the setting and the plot Cali Mackay creates a very entertaining read with forbidden . Iam very excited to see what cali mackay writes next!!

I enjoyed reading Phoebe, Archer, and Hawke's story, but this wasn't my favorite book. I am a fan of menage stories, so that wasn't what the problem is and I can't quit figure out what it is. The story was well written, but at times it felt like the story line was dragging. The sex scenes were ranged from hot to scorching and I definitely enjoyed those. I think the added element of the psychotic ex added more depth to the story and helped move it along. The jealousy that was shown between the twins also made the story seem more real. There was just something missing for me and I can't put my finger on what it was. I give this book a solid 3.5 stars.

I found this story very unrealistic, but it is well written, and the story rattles along at a fast pace. It gets quite exciting in places. You have to empathise with Hawke, for whom life is extremely difficult and few people are aware that he exists. I am glad that every issue was resolved so that they could have a happy ending.
Overall I enjoyed this story

This book follows the story of Archer and Hawke the Townsend twins and Phoebe, the girl who was washed up on the beach of their private island, with a whole lot of trouble following in her wake. This book will make you clench your stomach from the psychopathic ex to the sexy trysts between Phoebe and the twins. Five star worthy read.
