He needs to track her down, marry her, and take his woman home.
Nineteen year old Texanna Rae Grant is not happy, even though she knows men lust after her. She is not marriage material. Her own mother abandoned her when she was a child, and now her father wants to be rid of her, too. She doesn’t know why she's so unlovable, but she obviously is. When her best friend Mandy tells her that her cousin, the marshal, has eyes for her, Texanna doesn’t believe her. He wouldn’t be interested in her, and even if he were, he wouldn’t stay. No one ever does.
Half-breed Marshal Colton McFadden is known all over the West for his uncanny inner sense and tracking abilities. Many of the unattached women of the quickly growing township are interested in him, but he only has eyes for one woman, Texanna Grant. Colton’s inner vision seems to see into her very soul, which is innocent but troubled. He knows her father would not allow him to court his daughter due to his mixed blood, marshal or not.
Then a hole in the storeroom chinking on laundry day, trousers, men's undergarments, a little coercion, and a spanking change everything. Now Mr. Grant insists on the marriage! Texanna is on the run, and Colton needs to bring order back to his house and his life. First things first, however. He needs to track her down, marry her, and take his woman home. Then he can start Taming Texanna.

USA Today bestselling author of Contemporary and Historical Romances. I'm a proud Texan living it up in Alaska's beauty who loves to write both sweet and spicy romances.
My heroes and heroines can be found in this time or another, modern or historic, professionals or not. All include a little naughtiness, sternness, seriousness, a taste of suspense and a HEA.
I have always loved writing about sassy ladies and have done it for fun but never thought I could do it for other's enjoyment. It's my dream job and I hope I never come back to the real world.
Wonderful story of an abandoned girl who grew up with an abusive parent. She finds love with a gentle but firm man who teaches her trust. Aided by his mother and grandmother, he also teaches her how a loving family should act. It was nice to have a lead character be a native American and explore a native American family. There was a great mystery and a realistic ending for everyone. My only issue with the story was that the heroine continued to act out and almost consciously get in trouble after being helped and loved by the hero. It was a little hard for me to understand why she was throwing away happiness. That said, the book was very well written and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I enjoyed this very emotional and intense mystery, suspense story. Texanna Rae “Anna” can’t seem to win for losing in life. Her mother abandoned her when she was four-years-old, then her older brother left when she was about fourteen, and her father treats her with disdain and so much anger, issuing harsh punishments. He has been trying to pawn Anna off to various men for marriage against her wishes. Marshall Colton McFadden is good at his job, has gained the respect of the judge and many of the citizens, but some people still look down on him because he is a half-breed. One minor mistake with her friend, one unplanned situation that leads to correction by Colt and then for Mr. Grant to find out makes him force a marriage of these two, but maybe this isn’t a bad thing.
The plot kept me captivated and the pages turning in this story with several Indians, their uncanny ability to sense things, a wild-child woman who is defiant, argumentative, ecstatic, heartbroken and everything in between. She is struggling with feeling tossed away by everyone and has a hard time trusting Colt, which causes her to do the craziest things and be in more trouble. His discipline settles her, and she is trying to find her peace in his home with his mother and grandmother. Not everyone is who they appear, and sometimes Anna is too trusting. There is a danger lurking, and it is closer than you think. There is a great cast of characters, situations, and dialog.
There are times when parents can destroy their children. Make them feel unworthy, unlovable and unmarriageable. Real to life feelings with Texanna or Anna's childhood brings memories to surface. Some kids grow up to overcome their adolescent years. While others never overcome theirs. Luckily Anna ends up finding someone to help overcome hers.
Forced to marry the Marshall she takes off and goes on the run. Being part Indian enhances Colt's natural abilities, so he quickly finds her. Colt does his best to ensure Anna of his love for her and encourages her to realize he is not going anywhere. He is here to stay and will be there when she needs him.
Colt has his way he uses to calm her raging emotions and chaotic actions; she needs but sorely wants. Once you start this eBook its close to impossible to put down. I Love this books! It's fantastic! Pick up a copy today!
Taming Texanna is a must read for any one who enjoys a historical fiction filled with love, spankings, family, mystery, and intrigue. This well written and well developed story revolves around Texanna Rae, "Anna" and Colton; however, it also includes other family members. While Anna's father is a horrible person, others such as Colton's mother and grandmother are absolutely wonderful. I love how the author brought the Native American culture into this story through Colton's heritage. As the story evolves not only does the love story continue to grow , so does the mystery and intrigue. Read to see how the Addler gang is involved in Anna's and Colton' life and who the third person of the gang is. I highly recommend enjoying this wonderful book as Alyssa Bailey does not disappoint . Loved it!
This was a wonderful fast paced page turner with lots of action and unexpected twists and turns. A sweet kindhearted stubborn young lady who feelings of being abandoned by her mother, hated by her father who continued to physically abuse her left her feeling insecure and lonely. Her stern Native American husband loves her deeply and she is in a constant struggle with herself learning to trust his love. There are many spankings, some harsh but given with love and an intense happy sexual relationship. The storyline is well written with excellent character development, good dialogue and more. I highly recommend this book.
I am really enjoying the latest books by this author. Colton is just what Texanna needs. Abandoned by her mother and abused by the man that raises her, she hasn't really known love, or discipline. She is a bit of a wild spirit. Colton with his Indian heritage is just the one to appreciate her wild spirit and discipline her in a way that makes her thrive. I love that Colton's Pia and Kaku are their to help Texanna as well. She is a feisty woman and Colton is the strong, loving man she needs.
This is a very enjoyable book to read. The heroine, Texanna (Anna), is a wonderful feisty lady that reacts to events without first thinking through her actions, which causes many adventures and lots of spanking. The hero, Colton(Colt), is a strong dominant man that is able to give Anna what she needs to feel secure and loved, including some harsh but loving punishments. At some parts of the book, the story line seemed to move a bit slowly which is why I did not rate a five but it will definitely provide entertainment and a feeling of pleasure for the reader.
I thought this book was awesome. The characters had so much depth and were unique; I really liked so many of them and hated others. The plot was fascinating with so much going on throughout the book. The mystery and suspense were great, but I also loved the lack of suspense that came from the "intuition" of Colton's family. Texanna's need for discipline was consistent and Colton delivered. Their relationship was heartwarming and I enjoyed every bit of it. I highly recommend this book.
This author continues to entertain me for hours. There I s a sassy girl in love with a strong man who will spank her sassy and disobedience right out because he loves her. but Alyssa always has a mystery and a surprise ending. Her books keep you reading until you finish. Hot sex, stinging spankings and an awesome storyline. All in one awesome book
This was a really good book that I would happily read again. Texanna has had an unfortunate upbringing having been abandoned by her mother and abused by her father. Texanna and Colt fall in love but she finds it hard to follow his instructions when she was used to relying on herself as she has done for many years. Discipline and consistency proved beneficial and the relationship became strong.
This was a sweet story and romance with some twists, turns, danger and suspense. Made for a great read! I couldn't help getting attached to Texanna and cheering her on, Colton was perfect for her!
Wow what a great story mixing Native American Culture and domestic discipline. Interesting mix and with Alyssa Bailey's writing skills it works really well. Enjoyable and interesting a new favorite author.
This is the first book I have ever reviewed. It is the dumbest book I've ever read, and I read a lot of books. Only made it to chapter 7 though, so maybe it got better after that.
