Wolf Moon by Lisa Kessler
Moon series book 7. Paranormal shifter romance. Best read as part of the series in order.
Luke, feeling alone as the last single Pack member, travels to Sedona for a horse trainer job. He finds Raven with a broken down car and realizes she’s on the run. He’s soon working against a sadistic pack leader trying to rescue dozens of imprisoned wolf shifters.

Action packed suspense as Raven goes back to working as bartender and Luke tries to infiltrate the leadership, hoping to find a way to free everyone.
Raven was so brave. A bit defeated based on her experience, but still brave to not just keep on running.
Suspenseful, tragic (TG it’s fiction!) with a couple of steamy interludes.
I’m excited to move on to the conclusion next that’s been building throughout this series.

4 stars !

“Getting involved in their Pack won’t make you a hero, Luke— it’ll make you a casualty.”

I went into this book not knowing what to expect, but I have to say, it definitely exceeded my expectations !

The book begins with Raven running from her pack filled with men who took what wanted and had her and her sister mate with many of them. It's on the road that she meets Luke. Luke is from an enemy pack and immediately thinks Raven is setting him up. He also gave up trying to find a mate, that is, until one touch from Raven and he knew he'd found his 'one'. Unfortunately, Luke is risking his pack by helping Raven and Raven is emotionally damaged from what her pack put her through. Will Luke risk it all to be with Raven? Will Raven give Luke a chance to show her what being mated is truly about?

I loved how Luke was with Raven and how he truly cared about healing her and helping her move on. I also loved Ravens strength as she was far from a weak heroine.

I highly recommend this book to any paranormal romance junkies !

At last it is Luke's turn! Luke was the only unmated member of his pack and was feeling something of a misfit because of it. He took a job as head horse trainer on a ranch outside Sedona, Arizona and certainly didn't anticipate the change in his life endeavouring to rescue a damsel in distress on his way into town. The damsel is Raven Wood, a feisty young lady who had been bitten and turned against her will by members of the Sedona Pack. She was trying to escape from that pack when Luke discovered her. He can't believe what has been happening in Sedona and hearing that the Sedona Pack, supported by Nero, are going to attack his pack is the start of another brilliant, action packed shifter confrontation and romance by this highly talented author.

I loved escaping into this superb paranormal adventure. The author manages to interweave so many threads, complete with unexpected twists and turns, making this a terrific tapestry filled with intricate details that never fail to please. Raven's determination to escape, taking her sister with her, is key to many of the events and she's one powerful alpha female, a force in her own right despite what she has been through. How Luke works with the dysfunctional Sedona pack members, starting to teach them what being pack should mean, the captives and those who'll work with Luke all make this an enthralling read, a real page turner that I didn't want to put down until I'd discovered what happens in the end. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this - and all the other books in this series! I'm now desperate to discover what will happen next and hope Lisa is off *type*type*typing* again!

I received a copy of this novel via NetGalley and volunteered to read it. This review is my honest opinion.

Luke, the only unmated male left in his pack, travels to Sedona for a job working with horses, his specialty. Though he loves and misses his family and packmates, being the only single man left was starting to hurt. He wanted to expand his life, his search area for her.

Raven, bitten against her will, is being abused and was forced to "mate" with two brothers. Though she changed her sister, Isabelle, as she didn't want to be without her, she's still alone, trapped in a pack with an alpha, Caldwell, that controls everything, changing people as he deems necessary. She doesn't see a way out until she meets a man that treats her with respect and explains that true packs aren't ran as hers is.

Luke is determined to help Raven and the other innocents in her pack, even more so when just one touch shows him she's his mate, the one fated to be his. But all Raven knows of mates is that the alpha mates couples, or trios, and the torment she's suffered at the hands of hers.

Luke and Raven, along with a few others, must work together to free this pack from the evil Caldwell, a man that has a history with Luke's Dad. During their mission, Luke and Raven grow closer as he teaches her how a true mate acts and she shows him the love he's always yearned for.

What happens when they implement their plan? Will the alpha allow Luke to "join" the pack? What plans does he have for Luke? How will he react upon learning Luke and Raven are meant to be? Can Luke keep Raven safe? Will their plan work, allowing those being held, and changed, against their will the freedom to choose their own paths? Will Luke and Raven stay and Sedona and take over the remaining pack? Can Raven heal from all she's endured? Or will they return to Luke's home? Is their a HEA for these two?

One-click now and follow along as two people fated to be together find one another amongst dangerous circumstances. Please keep in mind this book is part of a series and I highly recommend reading the books in order. I loved Luke and Raven's story. I can't wait to see what's in Isabella, Raven's sister's, future. Who will her mate be?

Luke Reynolds is the twin of Logan Reynolds who is a famous rocker but he's also the last member of his pack to have not found his mate yet. Luke and his brother are also werewolves. Taking a job in Sedona, away from his pack while he tries to cut out a life for himself, he finds a woman along the side of the road and stops to help her.

Raven was turned into a werewolf against her will and now the crazy pack alpha is keeping her sister against her will to make sure that Raven does as she's told. But she is escaping to find help and warn another pack that her alpha is coming for them. Turns out that the guy who pulls over to help her when her car dies on the side of the road is from the pack she's hoping to warn and get help from.

Once Luke learns what and who is coming for his pack, he warns his alpha and the alpha wants him to come home right away but Luke has another idea...get into the rogue pack and take out the alpha. But gaining the trust of Raven and the alpha puts both of them in danger. Once he proves to the crazy alpha that he's there to join the pack, he's given more privileges because he shows the alpha that he's a good shot with a gun. Things become more complicated when Luke and Raven touch and realize they are mates.

The danger they find themselves in is crazy. Some characters from previous books come popping up in this one which made the mystery of what they were really doing all the more intriguing. The Sedona pack was in bad shape and needed help so a lot of the members, some who had been turned against their will were happy to help Luke and Raven out.

I'm glad that I started reading this series again because I really like these books. I'll definitely be reading more of this series.

'Wolf Moon' by Lisa Kessler is book Seven in the "Moon" series. This is the story of Raven Wood and Luke Reynolds. This can be a standalone book if you haven't read the others. Raven was just a regular women in Sedona and dating a man who turned out to be a wolf in the Sedona Pack. He bit her to make her a pack member as the Sedona Pack Alpha is trying to build up his pack. There Raven and now her sister are suffering at the packs hands. Until she thinks to escape and try to get help but her car breaks down which leads her to Luke. Luke is a pack member in Reno wolf pack. There he has been the only one not to find a mate so feeling the odd man out and somewhat down about it left to become a horse trainer in Sedona. When he sees Raven broken down he tries to help her but starts to learn from her that the pack she is being forced into is trying to destroy his pack in Reno. They set out to try and out smart the Sedona pack while trying to save the innocent people taken. But Luke also finds that Raven is his mate that he has been looking for...this puts and extra stress to keeping her safe. "My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."

Wolf Moon,  Lisa Kessler

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre:  romance,

I’d read and enjoyed the first five books in this series, but somehow missed book six...still, these can be read as standalone stories so that didn’t matter.

There is an overall story arc to the series with the Nero connection, but that seems to have taken a real backseat in this book. There are references to Nero and the people within it, but its a very minor part of the book. I’d have liked to see more Nero involvement, without it this becomes just a shifter romance, and there’s a deluge of them on the market.
Lisa’s writing is always very good, but the Nero connection gave this series the edge IMO.

So we meet Luke and Raven. We do hear from others in his pack, but in this book they’re very much in name only, its mainly just Luke and Raven and the Sedona Pack.
Poor Raven, turned against her will and against werewolf rules, is trapped in the Sedona pack. I really felt for her and her sister, stuck there with her.
The pack Alpha is in league with Nero, and is growing his pack quickly, against werewolf law and tradition, mating the females up with whoever he wants to reward to breed more werewolves. He wants a strong and loyal pack, and is searching out and turning people with abilities to help him achieve that, if they don’t have close family and won’t be missed.
Forget the fated Mate connection, he’s not interested in that, just in rewarding those men loyal to him with females, and the ladies don’t have any say in the matter.

What an awful life. Raven is determined to escape with her sister, and when she meets Luke and they touch, the need grows stronger and they discover they are mates.
Luke hates the thought of her going back to the pack, but she must, to save her sister and to prevent war on Luke’s pack. That looks inevitable though when they learn of the Sedona Alpha’s plans and the Nero connection.

I loved Luke and Raven, but the story felt a little slick, everything fell into place too well, even when there were issues they were dealt with quickly.
Compared to earlier reads this one did feel very simplistic, maybe I just needed more Nero connection, a bit more angst and anger.
I’m kind of confused about the Nero crew too, as to which way the major players are swinging, what side are they really one, are they playing bluff or double bluff? I like that kind of thing, trying to work out what people really have in mind.
Compared to that intrigue the Sedona stuff just seemed to flip by too easily, issues sorted too simply.

Its still a fun read, still a great addition to the series but looking back at my past reviews the ones I’ve enjoyed the most have been the ones where Nero takes a stronger part.

Stars: Four, a good read, but I needed a bit more Nero to make it a five.

Another great book in the moon series to add to our bookshelf. Even if you have not read the other books you can still enjoy this one but, I highly recommend the entire series.

Luke is the last this pack without a mate and decides to move and start a new position. This is where he meets Raven who belongs to the local pack and things are not as they should be. In order to save her he gets involved in their pack without knowing Nero is in play.

The book moves quickly and smoothly with lots of action and of course romance. Luke's pack gives you a sense of family and loyalty while teaching others what true pack life should be. A few surprises along with a very satisfying ending.

The author works her own type of magic on the reader pulling you into her world of wolf shifters and romance. A combination that has become a guilty obsession of mine.....not to mention my love of everything I've read by this author. It's sure to become a guilty addiction of yours too! Once you get a taste of this author you're sure to want more

4 “This is how True Packs do it” Stars

Wow! Talk about crazy alpha in a bad way…

Raven has been turned into a werewolf without her consent and is now “part” of the Sedona Pack. In this case being “a part of” means you’re either an outright prisoner or they are using extortion to make you stay. Desperate to escape from the crazies, Raven decides to make a run for it and go to the Reno Pack and ask for their assistance. Only she runs out of gas on the highway not so far from the city. When a lone car stops to check on her, and the driver turns out to be a wolf from the very pack she was going to, it seems the Gods are finally on her side.

Luke needed some space from his pack. Being the only one still without a mate was far from fun, so when the opportunity to be a head trainer in a ranch in Sedona came up, he didn’t hesitate to take it. As luck would have it that the hot chick stranded on the highway with tales of a crazy pack and a warning for his family, just turned out to be his true mate. With his protective instincts at full force, he can’t let Raven go back to the pack, so they’ll have to come up with a plan to take care of it. The more he learns, though, the more twisted he finds the Sedona Pack who are led by an old enemy of his family. Now they either fix the problem or lose any possibility of a future together.

Raven was a really tough chick. She was in a less than ideal situation, but still tried to change it against every odd. She was caring, loyal, had a playful side and was quite snarky.

Luke was a sexy alpha wolf, while at his old pack he was under the shadow of his twin, here he grew into himself. Once he touched Raven he was 1000% committed to taking her out of that place and he would stop at nothing to make her happy. I really liked how determined he was to help the innocents of the Sedona Pack, making him an honorable and compassionate man. In other words, Luke is the shit.

Wolf Moon is action packed to the point where you want it to stop every once in a while. I felt I couldn’t relax once since it started, as the constant threat of discovery and failure relentlessly harassed them. I enjoyed how Luke and Raven’s relationship progressed. While it was still an “I-touched-you-and-now-I-know-you’re-my-mate” insta-love, Raven introduction to werewolfery made it hard for them to just jump into it.

Now that all the wolves at the Reno Pack are mated but the menace of Nero is still out there, I wonder if the author will give mates to all the new sexy wolves in the Sedona Pack… And if so, I can’t wait to get my hands on their stories!

An exciting addition to Lisa’s highly entertaining Moon series!

“There is no one in the world I would rather be stuck with in this snake pit of a Pack than you.”

Another smile crept up on me as I leaned in. “You really know how to sweep a girl off her feet.”

His lips curved as he came closer, stealing my breath. “You’re the only girl I care to sweep.”

“Lucky me…” My words faded as his mouth met mine.

Lisa Kessler’s Moon series fans have waited a long time for Luke's story. The great news is that it’s finally here and it’s well worth the wait! Wolf Moon is romantic, suspenseful, action-packed, fast-paced, and utterly yummilicious. It is the story of two wolf shifters: Luke Reynolds and Raven Wood.

While Wolf Moon is the seventh book in Lisa’s awesome Moon series, Wolf Moon can be easily read as a stand-alone, if that is your preference. The romantic relationship and the development of the danger plot are fully contained within this novel. Just know that there are interconnected characters and an underlying threat that has built up throughout the series.

Luke is the last of his pack without a mate. As the story opens, Luke has taken a position as the lead horse trainer at Valley Farms in the Sedona area. Since his alpha is the lead horse trainer at his pack’s ranch, Luke felt that he needed to go elsewhere to advance his career. He still misses his pack back in Reno, Nevada – but it was difficult for him to be the odd man out in the Pack. While driving back to Sedona one evening, Luke stops to help a woman whose van has broken down and his life takes on new meaning.

Meanwhile, Raven is living a nightmare. She belongs to the Sedona Pack which is autocratically run by an evil alpha, Allen Caldwell. Caldwell is a control freak and is shockingly expanding his pack by changing humans without their permission. Caldwell is also in cahoots with the nefarious Nero Organization. Caldwell has ‘mated’ Raven with two wolf shifter brothers. While attempting to escape, her van breaks down just outside Sedona. Not long afterwards, a tall man in a Mustang stops to help. It doesn’t take long for Raven to discover he’s a wolf shifter; he doesn’t belong to her pack and is in mortal danger from the Sedona Pack; and his twin brother is rock star Logan of the Howlers. She’s a huge fan of their songs!

Luke was born a wolf; Raven was bitten and turned against her will. Both Luke and Raven were great characters with steamy chemistry. Could there be an HEA in the cards for them? It’s certainly not going to be easy.

Most of this story takes place around Sedona, Arizona. Lisa describes the vortex: “You can see the entire galaxy up there. More stars than you ever knew existed.” I've never been to Sedona, but reading this makes me want to go! I had many favorite scenes, but, when I think back over the scenes I swooned over, I see the couple on a mountaintop viewing the vortex and engaging in other extremely pleasurable activities.

Following please find a few of my favorite quotes from Wolf Moon:

“For the record…” I took her hand and held it up. “These are the only hands I want on me.”
---
“Do they send all of you jaguars through some elitist asshole training course?”
---
“Everything okay?”

“I’m not sure, but it’s not shittier, so that’s something.”

She laughed. “Still an optimist.”
---
“You taste better than bacon.”

WooHoo! The next book in this series will be New Moon - #8 in the series. It will be Sebastian's story - and the series finale! I'm excited, but also sad to see the series ending.

Lisa is one of my favorite authors. Her books are all must-reads for me. I’ve literally inhaled everything she’s published. I truly believe that she spins magic into her writing as her books are, without exception, addictive pleasures. Luke and Raven’s story is a roller coaster ride with a multitude of thrilling hairpin turns and steep curves! It’s teeming with danger and delightfully titillating romance. Wolf Moon is an exciting addition to Lisa’s highly entertaining Moon series and I highly recommend it to fans of paranormal urban fantasy romance.

On her way from Sedona, Arizona to Reno, Nevada, to escape her pack, Raven Wood encounters literally a lone wolf. He is Luke Reynolds, the twin of rock star Logan Reynolds, of Logan and the Howlers, both are from Reno. Luke is in Sedona to work as head horse trainer at Valley Farms. The Sedona Caldwell pack is determined to wipe the Reno pack, led by Allen Caldwell, and they have Raven’s sister, Isabelle. Luke thinks Raven’s a ruse to trap him, until she tells what happened to her. Raven was bitten against her will; their Alpha is making unethical decisions, and Luke, ever the gentleman, takes Raven home with him.

Raven and Luke’s relationship begins as a very comfortable friendship and I just love how kind he was to Raven, who had had a very difficult life up to then. Luke comes around quickly to trusting her, that she is not the enemy. He understands that Raven is in real danger, he will not let anything happen to her, because her pack Alpha is so ghastly and abusive. And she is his life mate, which he had despaired of ever finding. Raven’s and Luke’s is a very tender romance, very unlike any I had ever seen in a shifter romance. There is a lot of pack politics going on, and Luke and Raven face a very daunting task, as they are falling in love.

WOLF MOON is so easy to read, before you know it, you’re halfway through the book! Ms. Kessler does a terrific job at building up the suspense, and when you think the action part is over, bam! Something else happens! While WOLF MOON is book 7 in the Moon series, it can easily be read as a standalone, and I do hope there’s a book 8 in the future!

I sure did wait patiently for this one in this series. Sometimes that is hard to do but for this author I will. This one is one that will most certainly keep you on edge with what is what. Luke is yet to have found his mate so he search widens. When he helps Raven he knows but there are lots of obstacles. She is not in a good place but see how this author takes us on what will go on. This author will give you plenty of drama along the way with the excitement at times almost explosive. Bit of a suspense I would say too as things progress. Best part of all though watching love build and grow, with this author doing it so well.

Received a copy from Netgalley.

I absolutely LOVED this series. I am a new fan of Lisa Kessler. I started last week with Moonlight and read the first 6 books in the series one right after the other. They good, fast paced, with a good multiple book story arch and great character development. It's fated mates without the instant love. It's danger and adversary without the corny. A different take on werewolves and were-jaguars than a lot of the paranormal books out there. I had some minor issues with the concept she adopts for the shifting, but nothing that I couldn't get over.

This book in particular was a great read, and a great addition to the series. I can't wait for the next book, and I hope she has a spin off series with the wolves from Sedona as a followup.

I'm looking forward to discovering more of Ms. Kessler's books.

Lisa Kessler is a new to me author and I'm so bummed that I haven't read her books before. Now, I have to go back and read ALL the other books in this series! As a firm believer in FATE, I love reading stories about soul mates and that's exactly what Luke and Raven are. They have hot chemistry together and some pretty spicy but sweet sex scenes. I only wished that there was an epilogue because I love to read just a bit more happy endings. I'm also hoping that Ms. Kessler will continue her series, I want to read about some of the other characters! Told from dual POVs with a sweet end. I received, read and voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I received an advance readers copy of this book from the author for an honest review. This was the first book I have read by Lisa Kessler and I was pleasantly surprised. As anyone who knows me knows I love Paranormal romance and tend to read way to many of them. With a thunderstorm heading my way tonight I decided to pull this book up on my kindle to read and planned on a lovely evening listening to the storm pass by and reading. I was quickly pulled into the story and even though this is the seventh book in the series it was not that hard to follow where and how characters were linked together. Ms. Kessler introduces you to a wonderful world where werewolves are moving side by side with humans in Sedona, Arizona.

“He caught my chin, his thumb brushing my bottom lip. “I want to get to know the woman, the wolf, standing in front of me right now. I don’t care who she could have been – you’re a survivor and that’s more than enough for me.”

(spoilers may accidentally slip out if you read further I tend to go on and on when I enjoy a story like this read at your own risk)

Raven and Luke are two wonderfully developed characters that you can not help but want to root them both on as they try to find their place with each other and in the werewolf world.
Raven Wood was pulled into the Sedona Pack and then changed against her will. While later she ended up pulling her older sister, Isabelle, into the pack also. Now they both are trapped in a sadistic pack. As Raven tries a daring escape to warn another pack about an attack from her back she finds Luke Reynolds. Luke was the youngest in his pack and left Reno to find his own way as the head horse trainer on a local ranch and longing for his mate after all in his original pack had mated.

Raven is a strong character that proving that she can handle her own. After being changed against her will and forced to live with the Alphas two body guards. She becomes trapped when her sister’s safety is held against her continued good behavior. At least until she meets Luke who respects her and shows her how a true wolf pack should interact.
Luke is determined to find his way. As the only un-mated male left in his pack he left them behind to become the head horse trainer on a ranch in Sedona. After finding Raven he wants to help her and the other innocents in her pack before he recogonizes her as his mate. Will these two make it? Will Luke be able to infiltrate the pack and save them? There are so many questions and I don’t want to spoil it for you.

This story will have you on the edge of the seat as Luke and Raven are pulled more deeply into Sedona pack than they ever wanted to be. There were a few times where I wished that scenes were described a little further than Ms. Kessler did but as a quick read it is excellent. A few times during the story I was a little confused as to how characters which I assumed from other books in the series interacted. If the series was read in order I am sure that this would be an excellent addition. A quick evening read I highly recommend this read and look forward to reading more on the Reno pack. If you enjoy werewolves an a little mystery thrown in one click this one quickly on Amazon.

Just loved this book! I’ve been waiting to see what would happen to Luke and Lisa Kessler did not disappoint. Like the other books in the series there is a lot of heart, humor, and heat, but this one brings a darker, edgier tone as Luke must deal with an evil, twisted pack that holds his future in its hands.

Luke…*sigh*…all he wants is to find his mate. He’s seen what finding a mate can bring and he wants to find his own happy ever after. He’s also seen what not finding a mate can do to a wolf – not something he wants to even think about since it hits too close to home. Luke has been a great supporting character in the previous books in this series – always loyal, puts the pack first, and always there for everyone, especially his twin brother, so it was great to see him finally step out on his own and look for his own future and happiness. Of all the characters in the series I’ve always thought Luke was the most emotional one…and when he finds his mate that emotion ramps up to alpha conditions and he is one driven wolf – driven to protect and free his mate from Caldwell’s pack as well as doing whatever he can to protect his Reno Pack from the threat of Nero. Of course trying to balance out all that alpha and not putting himself and Raven in even more danger is not an easy task.

Raven could hold her own. Even though she’s had a tough life she is still an optimist at heart, and meeting Luke has given her that spark of hope she needs to believe that things might just work out. I love the way she’s always cracking little jokes, bringing a smile to Luke’s face even when they had to face some really awful things.

I love how the story arc is progressing and the tie in to Caldwell’s pack added a great dimension to this story and the series. Although we didn’t get to much time with the characters from the other books their presence was felt – especially in his phone conversations with his alpha, Adam, and also with his twin Logan.

Although this is part of a larger story arc of the Moon series, this can easily be read as a standalone without anything being missed in the story. Of course I would recommend you start at the beginning to meet the entire Reno pack and understand the larger story arc…but then again this is one of my favorite series! Definitely check this one out – for that matter, any Lisa Kessler book is worth a read!

This is not the last Wolf Pack book, but it is the last book about a member of the pack itself and knowing that saddens me. In this book we get to know Luke, a loner compared with the rest of his Pack who moves away to Arizona to get a change of scenery, which is where he meets Raven, an unwillingly turned werewolf escaping an abusive pack, trying to also rescue her werewolf sister, Isabelle.
Raven is now my second favorite female member of the pack (first always being Lana). She's got fire in her heart and steel in her guts to go through what she has and still have the will to fight. She is a perfect addition to the series and I couldn't have imagined a better mate for Luke.
Luke is not my favorite wolf, but he's a great, solid character whose story was worth waiting for. He's got a very unique voice and his story reinforces the sense of family and camaraderie that I felt was missing since book two.
The plot was the most fast-paced yet, filled with action and information. With a few quick plot twists and a wonderful ending, this book will make you pull an all-nighter (I did!) and this series will enrapture you. Kessler has a gift for creating unique and likable characters that will stay in your heart forever.
Now...that being said, I can't WAIT for Isabelle's story (because I know it's coming and can't freakin' WAIT!!!)

Patience is a virtue.

The last man standing alone is done feeling like the odd man out. Luke leaves his pack in start of a new adventure. It isn't ideal, his pack is home, but without a mate he'll always feel like he's missing out on something amazing.

Then he meets Raven. The frightened woman on the side of the road running from something frightening becomes his everything with a single sniff. She's light and happiness and good times rolled into one beautiful body. He's found his forever, finally, but the madness she's running from just might send them to an early grave before they have a chance to reach for it.

A single act of kindness can cause ripples of healing.

Raven is a turned wolf. The life she once knew no longer exists. She has her sister, whom she turned so she wouldn't be completely alone, but they live in a world of misery and strife, where women are a commodity and treated as such. Her Alpha is a dictator, hell-bent on a creating a pack loyal to him and him alone, using and abusing those under his rule. This isn't the life she wants for herself or her sister.

An attempt at escaping the hell she's in puts her in Luke's path. He's unlike the males of her pack. His kindness and compassion and caring make her yearn for something she's never known, calls to her lonely wolf's soul. But even more stunning than what she feels when she's around him is that undeniable pull she feels toward him. And that claim that he's her mate? She's had her fill of what a "mate" is and isn't sure she wants him.

But little by little, piece by piece, Luke mends his broken mate. He goes above and beyond by promising to protect her and her sister, and then making good on it. He shows her how good their life can be together. He gives her countless reasons to love him and to accept his love in return. The turnaround is beautiful to watch. The conflict they are in the middle of pales in comparison to how much Raven grows and comes to terms

I haven't read any of the other books in this series so I'm not sure how Nero figures into them. There is a light touching upon of that subject, and I get the feeling it runs a lot deeper than this story hints at, but the focus here remains firmly on Luke and Raven. This story is easy to read. It isn't too complex or dark. Ms. Kessler does a great job making her characters black and white. You'll know who to love and who to hate. This is a great story if you want something with action, suspense, and heartstrings-tugging romance.

This was my first book from this series, but I think diving in here was just fine. The story was easy to follow and gave me lots of good intro along the way.

Luke is the last unmated member of his pack. To try to avoid the constant reminder, he set off on his own to find himself (sort of). While out and about one day, he couldn't help stopping to offer assistance to a woman in a broken down van. Raven was forcibly turned into a werewolf by her then boyfriend now abuser. Inducted into a pack formed for the sole purpose of attacking others, she's desperate to escape. On her escape attempt, however, her van ran out of gas, putting her in the direct line of sight of Luke.

Luke, of course, can't let this stand and is even more determined to help Raven upon discovering that his old pack's arch-nemesis is planning to come attack and destroy them. They're both forced to make hard decisions to save all the innocent people who have been dragged into this mess. This book was so engaging that I found myself worried about all the side characters, too. Will they each get spin off books? Will I ever find out what happens to them? While totally happy with the unorthodox happily ever after, I still want more!

Lisa has knocked another great one out of the park. Her Moon Series is filled with tension, love, good and evil, making you cheer for the good guys, and boo for the bad guys.

Wolf Moon is the story of Raven and Luke and their search for love while fighting Allen Caldwell and his werewolves. Will they find someone to help them fight Caldwell, or do it on their own?

Great fun - keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Oh how I love a good paranormal romance. And this one was
awesome. This book is well thought out and the story-line is just
amazing the way it flows. I cannot wait to read more books by Lisa.

This is how the lone wolf of the Reno pack finally finds his mate.
He is the only one without one so he moves away. And when he
finda Raven on the side of the road, running away from her Alpha
an evil SOB. He has no clue what he has found. As it is touch that
tells them who their mate is so wearing gloves neither wolf has a
clue. But when she shares the reason for running he is determined
to help her. But when they finally touch and their world turns he is
even more determined to help. Now he has to help save her and her
pack. As when you find out how evil this Alpha is and who he is
you'll know why they have to end him.

Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope
you enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this
book, please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like
it when you do; they value your opinions too.

Luke Reynolds is trying to find a place for himself now that he’s the last member of his pack without a mate. While out on a drive, he stops at a broken down van where he finds Raven, a fellow wolf in need. Raven left her cruel pack in search of help for her and her sister with the closest pack. After her van breaks down, a man pulls up to help her. When Raven senses he’s also a wolf, she’s not sure if she should trust him after everything she’s been through.
I’ve read a couple of the books in this series, so I’m already pretty familiar with this world. This one was just as good as the others. It’s obvious from the beginning that Raven and Luke are meant for eachother, especially when he puts his life in danger to protect her until the end. I really loved watching Raven through the whole thing as she basically goes from victim to a survivor who finds happiness. It’s another great book by a great author. I highly recommend.

I'll admit I was a little bit leery about picking up this book to read, I figured since it was so far into the series that I would be inundated with a bunch of characters that had already been established and it would be next to impossible to follow. I was super wrong, this book is easily a standalone, yes there were characters from the other books in this one, but they were truly support characters, and I appreciated that the focus was mostly on our two main characters.

Truth be told when I first started reading urban fantasy/paranormal romance book it wasn't the vamps that attracted me, it was shifters. There is just something about shifters that makes me happy. I was really intrigued by the blurb on this book, because Raven was turned against her will, it makes for some seriously emotional times, and I love that. Also I liked the idea because our lead guy being a lone wolf, which is a complication in of itself since wolves are pack animals by nature.

So when we meet Raven, it's beyond clear she is in a bad spot, I mean she is literally running away from her pack. But hey, after getting to know Raven's pack over the course of the book, it is totally understandable why she would want to run as fast as she could in the opposite direction. I liked Raven, she's a strong woman. She is in an impossible situation, she wants to do right by her family and help the people she cares about but she isn't exactly in a position to be doing anything about it, but that doesn't mean she doesn't try. I love how she just keeps forging forward, but at the same time she still allows herself time to deal with what is happening to her emotionally. She has been through a lot and if the author hadn't addressed the trauma it wouldn't have felt right, but I thought the author addressed it without it being to overwhelming to the book.

Now as for Luke, I really liked him. He is a stand up guy. He doesn't really have a lot going on in his life, mostly because he is trying to find him place, and couldn't seem to find it in his pack. Ultimately he is lonely, everyone around him has found their mate, and he is alone. So when Raven shows up in his life, it was easy to see how he would get himself involved in everything. Luke also has to go through some hard experiences in the course of this book, and I thought he dealt with everything really well.

The only thing I didn't really love about this book is where Raven and Luke ended up. I really thought the two of them were going to go in one direction and they ended up going a completely different direction, it was unexpected and I don't know if it was as emotionally satisfying for me to end up where they did. Other than that, I really liked the book. I liked the suspense of what was going to happen, would the pack be saved, would everyone make it out alive, the heat between Raven and Luke, all of it was just a good read for me.

(RabidReads.com)Book seven in Lisa Kessler’s Moon series, introduces us to Raven, a bitten, not born wolf that lives with the Sedona werewolf pack. Luke, twin to Logan, who was featured in the previous book titled, Blue Moon, has now moved to Sedona leaving the Reno pack behind. He’s a horse trainer and lives and works on a local ranch. He knows nothing about a Sedona pack until he meets Raven by the side of her broken down vehicle, outside of Sedona. She’s in the midst of trying to escape from a sadistic packmaster and his henchmen that pass her back and forth-and not in a good way.

Raven is a strong character. She’s withstood being bitten against her will-not in the mate way-and being raped on a regular basis. Now she runs the pack bar and is barely surviving all the horrors of living with a psychopath. Her sister is a wolf as well, as she had Raven bite her so she could help keep her safe. Now the Alpha holds her sister as collateral to keep Raven in line. Logan, by rescuing Raven, finds himself smack in the middle of a pack that is hell-bent on taking over the Reno pack-something Luke is going to do his best to stop. He has to join the Sedona pack in order to do it, and convince the packmaster that he truly has separated from the Reno pack. I’ve always liked Logan’s character, while he was a peripheral character in all the other books. As the only unmated man in his pack, I’ve been looking forward to seeing him meet his mate. He’s been looking forward to it too, although he doesn’t think it’s going to happen! There’s also several wolves from the Sedona pack that I would like to see get their book as well now.

As with the Reno pack, the evil group Nero, also gets involved and whenever Nero is involved, trouble follows. There’s plenty of suspense, injuries, and even out and out murders, to appease any action lovers. For romance fans, Lisa Kessler never disappoints. I loved seeing Luke and Raven meet their mate in each other. I did however wonder throughout the read how they were going to get out of the jam they are in because it almost seemed impossible, I shouldn’t have worried, Kessler told a strong thriller romance that was filled with twists and turns, along with a share of sensual moments. One thing I did miss was not seeing more of my favorite characters from the Reno pack.

Kessler has woven a wonderful series together, filled with danger, romance, good characters, and this book fit right in with the rest. The series might be finished, but I am not sure. I think one more book is in order to tie up loose ends-Nero? A spin off of the Sedona Pack might not be a bad idea either!

Highly recommended to adult paranormal romance readers.

Just a heads up-I mention the rapes Raven endures, but that is in the past as this book begins. No rapes occur in this book. (A copy of this book was given to me by the publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review.)

**Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this book.**

Oh, Luke. My new favorite brother!

Raven is stuck in a tough position. She needs to get away from her controlling and abusive alpha, but she can't bear to leave her sister behind. So the plan is for her to leave and get help from the Reno wolf pack. Only, her car breaks down along the way and a stranger shows up to assist her. And he's not just any man. He's a werewolf too.

Luke knows this mysterious woman is keeping secrets, but leaving her stranded on the side of the road isn't something he can do. Helping her just might cause even more trouble for him when he learns about her situation. And getting closer to Raven also reveals something he's been desperate to find...she's his mate.

Unfortunately, this doesn't mean happily ever after for the pair. Raven's alpha doesn't believe in the traditional fateful mates and won't let her go without a fight. Luke isn't about to give up the other half of his soul that he's been searching for. The only way they can be together and save Raven's sister is if the cruel alpha is out of the way. But that's a dangerous mission of its own.

I really liked Logan in the previous book and Luke is his twin. We get to know him a bit in that story but we definitely get closer to him here. I may have squealed a little when I saw he was the one featured in this book, having not read the synopsis again before starting it. I'll also be reading the next book immediately after this and I'm keeping the characters in that one a surprise too.

Raven was a likable character with a good head on her shoulders. I'm coming to find that I like the way this author writes her heroines and heroes. Her men have flaws and fears, just like any other man would. Even with their paranormal abilities, they still let the occasional weakness show through, making them more believable and relatable. The women all seem to be intelligent and strong. I can get on board for this.

The plot was a little heavy with even more characters being introduced. I'm finally getting the hang of who everyone is and the underlying plot threads that tie the entire series together are becoming clearer. There is a good amount of action and suspense here. But our couple still had time together too. The romance in this one was a slower burn, yet it had several moments of steam in the bedroom (or wherever it occurred). It was a good read.

In closing...
I'm curious to see what comes next and I'm about to find out. 4.5 suns!
